Site 1 - Camping? Alpaca my bags
This place was lovely, felt like out in the desert, but close to people and resources. As others have mentioned, you can hear dogs, donkeys, and other animals, but I enjoyed it and it isn’t anything a pair of earplugs can’t help if needed. It is the desert, so can be windy (and dusty) so good to be prepared just in case. LeRoy took me on a great tour of the farm and showed me how the alpaca fiber is made into different things. LeRoy and Paula clearly love their farm and what they do and I had a great overnight stay at their property.

We really enjoyed our camping experience at Paula’s land. Area felt safe and we didn’t encounter much wildlife around the camp site. The property had walking trails which we enjoyed, area was clean and well kept. Porta Potty was clean as well. As others mentioned, if you are looking for a quiet camping experience, you may be disappointed by the donkeys, horses, alpacas and dogs in the area. The donkeys were friendly and come up to the fence to say hi. The noise wasn’t an issue for us. The farm tour was great! Highly recommended.

Beautiful private campsite
The campsite was beautiful, very private and under the mesquite trees as mentioned in the description. The toilet was very clean and we were able to make a nice fire. When you visit make sure you bring your own wood or be prepared to collect the mesquite wood which has thorns. These thorns also like to get stuck in your shoes.
At night the dogs in the area were howling quite a bit, so if that bothers you bring earplugs. We could also hear the horses and the alpacas which was nice. They are close, but not too close.
The hosts were very friendly. They live close by but you don't actually see them unless you deliberately go over there. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again in the future!!!
