What a gem of a property! This is a great place to camp if you are looking for something a bit off the grid. There is a awesome creek you can pull right alongside and pick a spot, farm animals including goats, pigs, horses and dogs, and a community freshwater spigot. Awesome views, total peace, and the thrill of the occasional sound of wildlife.
The host, Steffenie, and her husband greeted us as soon as we arrived and made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed our stay and our dogs did as well. All the stars!

We had an amazing and peaceful time camping here for the weekend. Steffenie was so nice and brought us firewood and other supplies to help us start our fire. We really enjoyed dipping our feet to cool off in the creek when it got too hot during the day. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come again!

I had a great time at this campsite. The owners were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was comfortable. The property itself is spacious with plenty of room to explore and stretch your legs. Perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind.

We were the only campers for our stay. We enjoyed a romantic weekend, and got to explore the creek and say hi to the goats and pigs. Would absolutely come back for the yurt experience here!

We just took a camping trip at the Oak View tent at The Park, bushy creek during our daughters spring break.
Unfortunately it was super windy the entire time we were there, but we still had a blast. The tent is super well kept, decore is great and air mattresses were great.
The location is perfect in that it is far enough to get a good drive going from Dallas, but still within 10 minutes of a store.
We definitely plan on going back in the future!

We had a fantastic experience!! Beautiful land, adorable animals and tent. We had a great time walking down to the creek, and feeding the pigs!! The goats were so fun to see. The tent was very clean and had all of the amenities pictured (even the S'mores bucket!!). I will absolutely be coming back here to stay. Thank you for everything!

Perhaps it was because I was the only one adventurous (read as dumb) enough to go camping in winter, but I had this entire property to myself and it was nice! Took a stroll down the creek, fed some pigs and goats, listened to the coyotes at night (it’s the countryside.) Steffenie was nice, and had things available that I wasn’t expecting, like some fire pits and extra wood to burn, a nice loft couch to chill on, and even a port-a-potty, should emergency arise or one come unprepared (I was prepared, but nice to know about backups). The property was nice and clean, and nothing bothered me at all.

The tent and amenities were beautiful!! Stephanie provided extra cooking utensils, complementary s'mores and firewood. The pigs and goats were friendly and we were given permission to feed them as well. There was plenty of land to explore which the dogs loved! It all made for a really relaxing tech free weekend. Would definitely come back!

It was exactly what we needed. Just spent one night camping in the back of the truck with my 7 year old. Parked by the creek bed and watched the stars and talked a couple hours, then woke up to 58 degree weather and explored the creek bed, caught and released baby bullfrogs, and looked at fossils. On our way out, I let him feed the pigs acorns and pet the goats. Great 12 hour pause on the bustle of everyday life!

This was my second time spending time on Steffenie and her husbands property...my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, we had a beautiful, romantic and private bonding experience here and I highly recommend visiting.
Bonus points because we both saw a shooting star together 😍😍😍

Steffenie and her husband not only have a beautiful property but amazing hospitality and are always available if you need anything. You can pick where you want to camp all along their property and as long as you're prepared you will have an amazing time. I will be back, I'm actually already planning my next stay cause it was so fun. A true hidden gem their place is.

We had a great time! We didnt get there until late and Steffenie was ready for us and even let us borrow some solar lights!! We got settled real quick in one of the many perfect spots. We were the only ones there and we could hear many diffrent animals!! Firewood everywhere! We brought our own tent but we checked out the tent she has set up on the way out and are excited to some back and stay in it!! Thank You Steffenie!!!

We loved camping in the large tent on Steffenie’s land! It was fun exploring the nearby creek and we enjoyed interacting with the pigs and goats. The privacy was wonderful, we felt like we had all 40 acres to ourselves. Inside the tent it was very spacious and had so many fun details and amenities. The private portable restroom was a nice nearby convenience. The solar string lights in the evening were absolutely magical and made for a beautiful evening. There were quite a few dogs barking in the distance at night, perhaps a neighbors house but it didn’t bother us much. If you are sensitive to noise at night, you may want to bring ear plugs just in case. Overall, we would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a secluded and enjoyable stay.

First time using Hipcamp and Steffenie land is awesome. Set up my tent in a very secluded and was amazed on how clear the skies were for star gazing being in close proximity to cities like McKinney. Steffenie and her husband are great hosts and made sure I had everything I needed during arrival. When I mentioned I’m just gonna sit back n make a steak I was provided Oak wood so I could use that for flavor. Can’t beat that hospitality!!! Def be back!!!

This place was awesome! There are fossils all along the creek. The vibe lighting was so nice both outside and inside the tent. The amenities were great! We made smores with the complimentary ingredients the hosts provided. The hosts were very helpful during our stay as well and assisted us by lending us an icebox and a couple of other things. The pigs and goats come running when they see new people so be sure to take some time to tell them hi.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Steffenie’s camp site! The tent was big and clean and Steffenie had everything there that we might have needed- cooking utensils, garbage bags, even board games to play. As others mentioned- she provided s’mores supplies as soon as we got there- which was a hit with the kids! We brought our two dogs, too. They loved getting to hang out by the two pigs all day. There was a creek a short walk away and since it was dry, we could walk along the creek and it was quite the adventure. Would definitely go back!

Had a great time Glamping here. Beautiful site with great amenities, comfortable sleeping arrangement, super cozy vibes and best of all amazing stargazing! Would definitely recommend checking out this spot for your weekend get away. Also Stefanie was super sweet and very accommodating host.

Steffenie was great! She met us at the top of the drive and took us down to the sight! She had a whole set up for when we arrived! The sight was great our dogs loved being able to roam the field and even see some farm animals while we were there.

We loved the tent, it was very well maintained.. Thanks for the Marshmallow bucket and Wood for fire... Steffaine is a wonderful host and knows how to take care of the guests.. Would definitely recommend anyone planning to escape the city life.

Great set up and wonderful hosts! I felt so welcomed and the space was really cute with a comfy air mattress bed, kitchen essentials and fire essentials. Theres goats and two pigs in a pen next to the tent spot which I loved! The property is beautiful with a little creek and amazing sunsets just past the creek.

This was a great spot for a quick getaway from the city life! No, you’re not in the middle of a large wooded area so don’t necessarily expect that - it’s on the hosts land that has been cleared out and some trees around but there’s an amazing creek real close by so definitely check that out.
The actual campsite is fantastic- large table and two comfy chairs around the fire. The Yurt was really huge inside! And very well maintained and the added touch of lights /decorations and small side tables really made it such a neat place. We brought two battery operated fans for during the night and it kept the Yurt cool and we had a great nights sleep. The Smores basket was a wonderful treat and we enjoyed making a nice fire with the provided wood and fire starters.
There’s a water spigot at the campsite which was really handy to have and the port-o-potty right next to camp which was clean. You are “roughing it” slightly without a sink /full bathroom but the amenities she has set up are perfect if you’re willing to go a bit without those luxurious.
We definitely plan to come back! A great hidden gem about 45 min from Dallas.

I'm used to camping in state parks, so it was a little too rugged for me. I wasn't prepaired for lots of mosquitos and mud, but that's just me. I encourge everyone to try it, especially at $5 per night. Stefanie is a darling of a host and a wonderful person. She gave me a bag of peaches from her trees upon arrival and they are great! I love 'em. I'll try camping there again in the years to come and just maybe there will be a paved road through the land with numbered tent sites! I guess there will always be some city in me! lol Go check it out!

This is a review only for the host, not the stay as we weren’t able to make it, unfortunately: Steffenie, was extremely communicative and accommodating all throughout our booking, that we forfeited due to car issues before we could make it there.
