Site 7 The sunset view site
Love this place. Great location
Great large campsite areas to yourself so private. Good facilities with fridge hot shower and clean toilet whilst remaining rustic and characterful in communal area. Woody brewing shed and bar is something else. We love it. Sadly Woody normally only serves beer at weekend and we were unaware of this and disappointed. This campsite is very close to the Frio river and beautiful Garner state park. We had great long daytrip there and loved the trails and swimming. Would recommend particularly weekends if you partake in home brew !!

Ridge Site
Family Camping Tradition
We love this place, and Woody is a great host! This was our third time with our kids (10 and 12 now). We've been at site 7 a couple of times and loved it. This time we were at the ridge site and also really enjoyed it. It was closer to the common area, and we enjoyed the live music and brewery Saturday night. We enjoyed having a spot to ourselves while cooking dinner and relaxing in our hammocks that night, and everything shut down at a reasonable hour. We went to Garner one day and Lost Maples the next. Super convenient location for parks and close to the Utopia general store for any forgotten or last minute items. The view of the stars was fantastic. We set our tent up under the open air one. Kids rode their bikes exploring and loved checking out the property. Can't wait to go back again!

Site 7 The sunset view site
PERFECT PLACE TO CAMP IN HILL COUNT
Seco Ridge Campground, Site 7 was just want the doctor ordered! Soul food! Site 7 sits on its own mound, surrounded by trees, yet fully visible to the celestial bodies, with a sweet spot to view sunsets, just a few steps away. Perfect site for our tent scenario. Woody & Elaine have created a lovely, quiet, restful & inclusive funky sanctuary in Hill Country. Site 7 was just a 3 minute walk to the communal area (kitchen, bathhouse, and firepit) or a quick blaze down the path in your vehicle, allowing you to create as much privacy as you wish, or be as social as you want to be. Several state park options with swimming holes nearby. We had a great time and are thankful for Woody & Elaine's kindness and attentiveness. We wish them immense success with the campground and beyond!

Site 6 The sunrise view site
All around amazing!!!
Absolutely stunning place to stay. Even the drive in was stunning. Super comfortable and the stars were such a show. The sunrise was spectacular as well. The hot shower was such a treat after a long day of hiking in Garner. Couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable place to stay. I will definitely be coming back to this beautiful place.

Site 1 - Secluded Tent Camping
Will definitely be back.
Instructions to the campground were very clear. Had spot #1 and it felt super private but close enough to the communal areas.
Bathrooms were really clean and kitchen area looked nice.
The Saturday night get down sounded like a good time and they got quiet at a decent hour.
Lots of space to wander around and didn’t see or hear too many animals or bugs.

Site 5 by the goat shed site
Semi-secluded and clean
Nice and clean site. Good pad for a tent. Felt secluded being a short ways down the hill from the main sites. Site 5 was perfect with a fire pit and a picnic table. I paid for a $5 wood bundle and it was more than enough wood. I didn’t have a chance to use the amenities. Arrived late and tired and woke up early. It was enjoyable just sitting watching the fire, the stars and listening to the coyotes sing. There were so many stars and satellites to view. The smell of the cedars was amazing. The ride in at sunset was gorgeous and the ride out with the sunrise and fog in the valleys were breath taking. Great viewing point of the sunrise at the main site.
