Welcome to your own private holler—where magic hangs from the trees and time slows to a whisper. Enjoy this youtube video. It's everything you need to know about our Lockhart airbnb Treehouse. Like and subscribe to these guys. We love them! https://youtu.be/U9U1vCFdB-E?is=XYVhxb8HrP3A Robin’s Nest is a real treehouse—built atop 7 oaks with no tape measure, no level, and no blueprints—just imagination, old wood, and 100-year-old treasures tucked into every corner. It’s not a house on stilts next to trees. It’s in the trees. And when you’re here, you’re not on our time. You’re on treehouse time. This isn’t polished, modern luxury. It’s barefoot luxury. A dreamy, playful escape with simple comforts: Swing in the queen daybed, shower in the open-air master bath up in the trees with you, soak in the cowboy hot tub. Lounge in the cargo net and watch the treetops sway in the breeze. Sit by the fire. Wander the trails. At night, let the frogs sing and the stars take over. Push open the double doors. Slide the futon against the handrail under the roof cover. Turn off the lights and leave only the fairy lights glowing. Across the pond, a spotlight shines on a little feeder, and if you’ve been quiet, you’ll see deer, raccoons, and other critters play in the dark—like a living storybook, better than TV. Leave the doors open. Let the cool AC wash over you. This moment is yours. This holler is completely yours. No shared spaces. No interruptions. Just you and the wild around you. This land is a working wildlife sanctuary, cared for with 50 years of hands-on learning. Please don’t bring poisons—they hurt the good critters too. The yellow-and-black mud daubers? Harmless to humans, deadly to harmful spiders. The big harmless, banana spiders keep flies and mosquitos away. It's nature in balance. If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin. Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails, Not built to code. Not meant for crowds. Best for adults who can move comfortably and safely through a natural setting. One night is an escape. Two or more is where it starts to work on you. This is your holler now.

Simply Wyldwood is a 10-acre homestead and mindful living retreat including a food forest at the edge of the woodland and an 800-square-foot movement space called My Yoga Barn. My Grandparents purchased this property in the '70s and my Grandfather wanted to live from the land and my Grandmother loved her community, bluebonnets, and roadrunners. I'm honored to now grow more food for my community and share this healing space in nature. This is a "choose your own adventure" experience. You can camp in the Yoga Barn or bring your own tent and sleep outside. During your stay, you are invited to relax or roll out your mat for yoga on the shaded deck or sun deck, in the Yoga Barn in the AC, and book a private Yoga/Meditation class or Mindful Forest Bathing Experience from your host who is an instructor in both. Enjoy strolling through the trails on the property and touring the food gardens viewing chickens roaming on the way. There is a full bath in the Barn and a private hot/cold outdoor shower to use to cool off during the day and has a lovely view of the stars overhead at night. There is outdoor seating on the deck of the Yoga Barn along with a ping-pong table and gas grill. Meals are outside on the deck. You can bring your own food or visit a neighboring restaurant. Your hosts are Foodies and happy to help you find something. We are 5 minutes from McKinney Roughs Nature Center, Zip Lost Pines, and Hyatt Lost Pines. A short 10-minute trip to Bastrop for shopping, river activities, and Bastrop State Park.

Welcome to East Austin! My property is in walking distance to some real Austin gems including Palomino Coffee and Sahara Lounge. It is 8 minutes from downtown Austin and easy to bus from. The tiny trailer is adorable and full of gorgeous natural light and rainbows. We even have an above ground pool that we fill for the long summers, but I must admit that pool maintenance can be a bit complicated. So no promises! *My buddy Geoff stays on the property and shares the yard amenities. He keeps to himself unless you can't get a hold of me and absolutely need something. **When you apply to book, please give me a short note of why you are visiting and your specific needs. It just helps me prepare better for your stay. :) ***Let me know if you want food or shopping recs. I've lived here for over 20 years and love sharing the gems of Austin.

The lake was intended to serve primarily as a reservoir for the city of San Antonio, but it had the secondary effect of transforming the economy of Comal County. Even before the lake was filled, construction had begun on dozens of new subdivisions along the 60-mile lakefront and in the hills around it. By the mid-1980s, more than 80 new neighborhoods had been built, and the little ranching communities of Sattler and Startzville had become thriving commercial centers serving tourists from nearby Austin and San Antonio. The full-time population of the lake area was estimated at 12-16,000, and many thousands more were in the area on weekends.
