This is a forested area including trails and a wooded wetland. Campfire sight is provided as well as a port a john toilet.
It is a rustic site with a small cabin and areas to pitch tents. The area where the cabin sits is all pines.
Secluded area yet close to town. Easy access from State Route 33.
Walk in or drive in depending on your vehicle you drive.
The cabin consist of a fold out bed, table and heater.
Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin.
For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property.
In addition we have a small wooded dock area beside the wetlands to relax and enjoy.
Our site was rated as Tree Farmer of the year (2021).
Lots of wildlife and again very private oasis in the midst of a growing rural community.

Artemis Gardens BnB is more than just a place to sleep (in cozy, enchanting bedrooms) and eat (delicious food the host makes for you). It’s an eclectic oasis nestled within nature, infused with art, and just a few miles from Dayton - very convenient if you’re attending an event or visiting someone in Ohio!
I live on the property in a separate cabin, with three indoor cats - Artemis, Luna, and Nemo. They can hang with you or I can keep them away depending on your preference. When I book individual rooms, I fix breakfast for my guests. When the entire cabin is booked, I can still provide breakfast or you can have the place all to yourself. You’ll always have my contact info and I won’t be too far away.
Nature is strong here. The cabin is rustic, some of the native plants can be prickly, and pollinators are everywhere - including the honeybees with stingers (who live in three different natural hives on the property).
In other words, stay aware of your surroundings.

GloryField Hospitality Farm is a 148 acre active farm and vacation destination. Enjoy your stay and the picturesque view of fields, cow pastures, and wetland pond. Spend your day fishing at the catch & release pond, hiking the 2 miles of mowed trails, you are 3 miles from the Ohio Erie Prairie Bike Trail head. Ask about helping with some of the farm chores. In the evening roast s'mores on a campfire, catch fireflies, or stargaze away from artificial light.
The farm is shared space with a variety of short term rental sites; however each site has over 100ft away from each other. The owner Kim also lives on the property in the barn with her 2 golden doodles Scooby & Trixie. GloryField is an active farm so there are also people, vehicles, and farm equipment that have access to the property. They are the only people allowed to drive beyond the driveway.
The nearest town of S. Charleston is 3 miles down the road and has a good grocery store, gas station, & dollar stores. Restaurants include Pizza/sub/salads, Chinese, Coffee shop, bakery, & Ice cream (unfortunately no delivery).

Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods.

Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind. There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. Cozy & eclectic space. The Lyra hoop is super fun…wished we didn’t need to hit the road as I would have played on it for longer 😊 We loved the decor & peaceful surroundings outside. Very nice host. She hosts workshops & sells handmade items— again, with more time I would certainly partake. Breakfast was appreciated & was one less thing to worry about for us before continuing on our drive!

What an amazing spot & amazing time. Robert & Maria do such an awesome time taking care of the spot, it really is an oasis in Bellefontaine, even the bathroom situation is spotless.
I 100% recommend! I went solo this time, but I'll definitely be back with my kids!
My only gripe is that Robert didn't invite to come hunting with him on the property. 😆

Weekend Trip to Glamping at River Run
This little getaway was everything. The rustic, bohemian vibe was thoughtfully executed. It was warm, inviting, and so clean! The hosts are excellent communicators which was evident right way. They have taken care of every detail. Seriously, leave it all at home! Blankets, lanterns, kitchen/cooking items - stocked! We drove over 3 hours to camp in someone's backyard. Was it worth it? YES!
Not negatives, but some things to consider:
There is a train nearby that you hear all night which i find personally comforting. You will also hear a decent amount of traffic noise from the nearby road. Although you're tucked away, there are still people and other glampers on the neighboring property that you can hear and see. Also, the waterfront is super cute! Probably good for fishing and walking the property, but too mucky for taking a dip.
Oh! The nearby downtown area is also fabulous with lots of great shops, bars, and restaurants. This sweet little glamp spot has everything. 💕

This was such a cute spot! We loved how secluded it was. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of cicadas and rain on the roof. We only had one night but might be back to try farming for a day or a tractor ride as advertised on their website!
