Our Quick Story:
We’re a happy and thankful couple, passionate outdoor people, naturalists, climbers and professionals in the area of geology and tourism, providing educational and outdoor adventure experiences for everyone.
Roca Norte, our place, was literally “created” by natural phenomenon hurricane María in 2017. We lived here before the hurricane but it wasn’t like this. The strong winds removed a very dense vegetation covering the now exposed rock walls and also providing of a beautiful mountain view. Unbelievable or not we were already climbing guides when this happened! We will be very happy to tell this story with all the excitement It deserves!
OTHER SERVICES WE CAN OFFER:
1- Breakfast for an additional cost (need to tell us just after your booking) 2- Casabe Bread workshop to learn how our Taíno natives prepared their bread (cost: 1 person 20$, 2 or more 15$pp). 3- Geology and fossil workshop to understand the geology of the area (20-30min) Price: 1 person 20$, 2 or more 15$pp. (also good for kids)
Suggestions for a better stay:
1- if you want to make a campfire and you don’t know how to do it, save time and effort and buy Duraflame logs in Walmart 2- Bring your towel / or we can provide it at no additional cost. 3- Since you need to hike for about 3-5 minutes to get there you need: boots or similar good grip shoes and it will be easier if you get here before sunset. 4- Bring in a backpack only items you will use at the cave such as water, food, phone, etc. 5- Bathroom is located close to the entrance at about 3-5 minutes from the cave. Plan accordingly when to get the shower etc. 6- You can also follow Leave No Trace Principles for an alternate way to dispose human wastes. (Dig a hole of at least 6” depth then cover it at least 25 ft away from the trail or camping area.
