We originally booked this as a simple camping trip, but it ended up being one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave.
The land itself is beautiful. Endless mountain views, cool air, quiet mornings, and some of the clearest night skies I’ve seen in Puerto Rico. The Milky Way was visible with the naked eye, and waking up to sunrise over the mountains with coffee in hand felt unreal.
What made this place truly special, though, was the people. Gabriela and Andrés welcomed us with such genuine warmth that it never felt like we were just renting a campsite on someone’s property . My daughter got to help in the garden, our dog was instantly loved, and we ended up spending time talking about medicine, military life, Puerto Rico, and life in general like old friends catching up.
You can feel the care they’ve put into creating this little sanctuary. It feels peaceful, intentional, and deeply human in a way that’s hard to explain until you experience it yourself.
If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep outdoors, this is one of those rare places that actually lets you slow down and reconnect a little.
We’ll absolutely be back.
