The property has been in the Monge family since the late 1940's bought by Jose Monge Marquez. The campsite is located in a private property in the outskirts of El Yunque Rainforest in the town of Luquillo. The campsite areas and facilities are about 8 out of 43 acres of all the private property of rainforest, flowers, palm trees, and various fruit trees.
The Sabana River, one of many that originate from El Yunque National Rainforest, the river goes through the property. All the campsites are close by the river with each having their own access and individual fire pits.
The local attractions are:
-El Yunque National Rainforest 15 minute drive up the mountain.
-Las Paylas rockslides (2 minute drive & 8 minutes walking).
-The Luquillo beaches which are La Pared, Playa Azul, Barneario de Luquillo. Los Kioskos de Luquillo, ect. (10 minutes drive).

The Casita sits above a calm inner bay of the lake with easy access, beautiful views, and a one-minute walk to the shoreline. Raíz is secluded glamping stay tucked farther into the forest, about a one-minute walk from the lake. One of Raíz’s most distinctive features is its circular deck built around a tree, a signature space designed for sitting, gathering, and experiencing the forest in a way that feels both grounded and unforgettable.
Guests also have access to Alba, a shared sunset area with seating and hammocks, and Entresueños, a circular bed tucked into the forest for resting, dreaming, and enjoying the surroundings.
One of the most special features of WYLD La Plata is its connection to birdlife and the lake. The property is home to a white egret nesting area, and guests may witness hundreds of birds moving through the site and gathering near the water throughout the day. Las Puertas de San Pedro nos regaló un amanecer hermoso, pese a que estaba nublado. Sus anfitriones, Madelyn y Jesús, se mantuvieron comunicados todo el tiempo con nosotros para asegurarse de que llegáramos bien y la pasáramos chévere. Nos permitieron recorrer la finca y Madelyn fue muy generosa al regalarnos hijitos de algunas de sus plantas medicinales. La vista desde la cima de Las Puertas de San Pedro es preciosa.

Loved camping at Finca Sajorí, we went during the week, so we had the campsite to ourselves. we brought both of our older pets to rest and ground in nature. the view was magical, looking for campfire wood was accessible as we are surrounded by trees. i recommend bringing a saw to cut some long wood. there were oranges and pineapples growing everywhere, we felt safe and the stars and constellations at night were dreamy. We got all seasons in one day, heat, mist, rain, and cool at night. There was access to water, showers, toilet, and grills. Luis and his wife greeted us kindly. we attempted to walk to the river but one of old pups could not make the hike as her legs were weak, so we took our 4x4 down to the river as Luis recommended and that was a fun journey down and up the mountain - only 4x4 please. We will definitely return to this hidden beautiful campground.

They’ve done an amazing job making this remote site easily accessible. Amazing views, no noise, peace, and momma nature. The amenities are luxurious while maintaining the rustic feel. I really enjoyed camping here. There is plenty of space to put the tents on. There is one toilet ( non flushing-compost), and 3 showers with WARM water, which include soap and shampoo and conditioner!, there is a hand washing station as well. there is also a gas grill, several areas for sitting and eating with grills, and a kitchen area with washing station as well. you can have as modern or rugged experience as you like, there is also an rv and also an airbnb and hostel like building. he teaches courses ( farm - related) and also gives a tour of the farm. the owner is very amiable and ensures as possible that everything is safe. of course, the view is spectacular. and there is a river walking distance. you can visit this place with a romantic partner, friends, family or even alone!

This is a really beautiful site to spend the night. Nancy and her family are very warm and welcoming. The views of the mountains, valleys, and the nightsky are breathtaking. Highly recommended!

Nancy was a wonderful host and was very helpful. She provided an itinerary for all the local spots to see, and we made good conversation. The property was lovely and the sunrise was gorgeous. Lots of places to walk around. Will definitely be back when I come to Puerto Rico.

We loved this campsite so much. The views are absolutely gorgeous and had no trouble getting there with a 2wd low clearance car. Hosts are incredible nice and gave us an impromptu tour of their beautiful and impressive coffee farm.

The host couldn't have been nicer and accommodating. The campground is lovely and except for the distant chickens was very quite. I would recommend everyone should camp here if they are in the area. Only draw back was traffic if you go near San Jose.
