Cabin on the Butternut Creek
Cabin · Sleeps 6Enjoy camping with a roof over your head, at the heart of our small family farm. Book your stay in a rustic wooden sleeping cabin nestled between a creek and a vegetable garden, with a great view of the old cow barn. Simple and rustic, the cabin is appointed with a double bed (seasonal linens are available as an extra or bring your own bedding), two cot-sized bunk beds (bring your own bedding), and a cozy seating area. Outside the cabin, you’ll find a fire circle, a picnic table, and a small covered deck. Cook your meals on a griddle over the fire, or bring picnic fare. Wash up in an outdoor sink with running cold water. Pack your supplies as if you were going camping, but enjoy the comfort of a real bed.
A private full bathroom with hot showers and electricity is located a short walk from your cabin. There is no electricity, heat, or wifi in the cabin. Cell service is spotty on the farm. Pack and dress for adventure! We’ll send our comprehensive packing list to help you plan accordingly.
During your stay, you’re welcome to explore over 100 acres of woods and pastures. Take a swim in the pond, or a leisurely stroll alongside the creek. Read a book in the shade, explore the vegetable gardens, or go bird watching… possibilities abound.
A note about privacy: Our land is a small vegetable farm which may be bustling with activity or calm and quiet depending on when you visit. We offer two cabins for rent, both are located in the central hub of the farm. This makes each cabin very accessible. But it also means that you may hear the occasional hum of farm implements or the voices of neighboring campers drifting across the field. We ask guests to be respectful of others whom they may meet. No parties or late night noise, please! This particular cabin is located directly behind one of our gardens, so you may find one of us harvesting just outside your door in the morning! If you would prefer more privacy, we suggest booking our other "Cabin on the Little Creek" instead.
We usually have pastured eggs, farm-made maple syrup, firewood, and seasonal vegetables available.
