Site's 10 11 12 13 14 15 are perfect for families, where you can all be together but separate. We are a work in progress but we will try to accommodate anything you may need. Please talk to us! We have firewood $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. Do not bring your own firewood. We don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. We are also a fifth generation cattle ranch.  We are in Wyoming, on Highway 287 between Fort Collins, CO. and Laramie, Wyoming. We are still building out our property with a General store, and Western Themed Town coming soon. We have campsites for RV’s or Tents. We have an amazing 1000 acres to have your own hiking, wildlife, birdwatching, adventure. We have great hiking and wildlife viewing, marmots, pronghorn, antelope, deer, elk, and an occasional moose. Birds of every feather gather here so bring your binoculars. Hikes include balancing boulders and rock formations. Wonderful stargazing, our stars are so bright it seems like you can reach up and touch them. We are a working ranch and do have livestock. Don’t mess with the bull!Firewood, for $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite.   The bags make a great trash bag when empty! Do not bring your own firewood, as we don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds.  Due to the high volume of people coming in separate vehicles, after two vehicles per site, its $10.00 per vehicle extra per night. We have portable outhouses available.

We are located one mile south of the Wyoming/Colorado border on the west side of Highway 287, one mile north of the rest area. The elevation is about 7,500 feet. Our property, and the surrounding area, is loaded with stunning granite boulders. This outcropping is part of the Sherman Batholith, (just like Vedauwoo to our north), dated at 1.4 billion years old! There are a variety of trees and abundant wildlife and birds. RVs, pop-up and all styles of towed campers are welcome, except Class A motor homes or low ground clearance vehicles. Our house is uphill and far enough away that you won't see us, but we're available if you need anything. The property line is fenced and/or marked, we ask that you stay on our property and keep close contact with your kids and your dogs leashed, or nearby, for their safety... due to abundant wildlife, as well as neighbors with horses and cattle.

The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or a more scenic overnight travel stop to allow you and your fur baby to enjoy some Wyoming open space. A microwave, insta pot, mini fridge and propane grill allow for simple meals to be prepared for inside or outside dining or stop for a meal in any of the communities along your way here. Bring water, cabin is dry and snacks. I do keep some basics in the cabin so if you are traveling grab a meal, snacks and some water, the cabin is stocked with the rest of what you'll need for a night's stay without having to unpack the vehicle. If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on the routes, scenic stops, cut overs or short cuts. There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it. Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

My homestead is located on 4 1/2 acres of pastureland that currently have no animals. You will turn on Powell rd to reach the back portion. The camping spots are located on the back part of the property and along a refurbished shed that includes 1 added 30 amp plug; interior electric, clean well water delivery or hose filling in warmer months as well as a separately fenced area for visiting canines (Please only non-aggressive breeds unless leashed at your camp). My Golden has an invisible fence and is not allowed to visit campers unless permitted. Fires are only permitted and shared on the back patio of my home. Activities for fun on site include corn hole, firepit on lower patio along with a propane weber grill. Only 2-3 mile from Frontier Park and an electric bike ride to downtown to tour the museums, restaurants and shops. Currently, new to hip camp and refurbishing the house and exterior so The Shed will be a working/congregating space with refrigerator/freezer, electric cooktop and indoor space with a fan so folks can escape their cars/vans. Wi-Fi is also available in the shed and the surrounding camp areas toward the building. This was my dream come true property and I'm looking forward to sharing it with road warriors like me. Weather is forever changing here and clouds roll by fast leaving the most fabulous rainbows. I just ask that no fires of any kind be set at your site because the field is a fire hazard in the dry plains.

Weekend Trip to Buford Canyon

We have stayed at Buford Canyon 3 times and each time we are welcomed warmly. Blue Moon cabin particularly is a peaceful getaway in every way. From sunsets on the canyon rim to fireside reading and complete privacy, don't hesitate to book yourself a few nights there to relax in the evenings after days full of adventure at Vedauwoo and Medicine Bow National Forest!

Weekend Trip to Little Cabin with a view

Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet. The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits. Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day! We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

Really beautiful spot! The cabin is the perfect size and well built. Huge windows overlook the view. You can’t see any neighbors which was perfect for us. Propane firepit was fantastic and Chas was a wonderful host! Very comfortable place - we hope to go back!

The cabin was a perfect mountain get away! Linda was extremely helpful, offering detailed directions, fresh cookies and fresh coffee in the morning. The property and view was breathtaking, pictures just don’t do it justice. The drive out is gorgeous and you get right into the mountains and backcountry. Amazing getaway for some peace and star gazing!

The forest is a whopping 2.9 million acre outdoor playground extending from northern Colorado to central Wyoming, and has got something for everyone and for every season. The diverse area also comprises the Thunder Basin Grasslands as well as numerous mountain ranges with huge elevation changes and diversity in terrain and wildlife. The area offers ample hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and riding (among other activities). In the winter come for snow sports and see everything in a different light. Lots of options for developed camping and even more for dispersed wilderness camping, mean you can really spend some time here exploring. Come and get your medicine!

Sugarloaf Campground

A great camp ground with two water pumps and bathrooms. Each area has a tent pad, fire pit and picnic table. Great views and very close to trails and tons of lakes. Campground was peaceful and quiet, unsure if one campground can hold more than one tent ours did not. Some places are first come first serve while others are reserved only, we got lucky on a Friday and snagged the last campground it’s really popular here! No firewood available so remember to bring your own! 20$ a night

Curtis Gulch Campground

Curtis Gulch is a magical place as it's described. The La Bonte stream runs parallel to the campsite and is a short hike. The only negative thing to camping there is the road leading into the area. It is very rough and narrow in some areas. Drive slow and a 4WD pickup pulling a camper can make it. Do not expect cell service. All the camp sites are primative meaning no water or electrical hook-ups. There is one (what I would call) updated outhouse. It's best to go during the week as it starts filling up on Friday. We drove over to another campsite but the campsites were closer together and maybe only one was big enough to back a small RV into. Fire rings are available. A pump is available with well water. The area is clean.

Super windy spot but the rock features are very unique and there were even some climbers. The stars were GORGEOUS at night. My biggest complaint is that it's fairly close to the highway.

Camped there over the weekend, no one around except for 3 other camping groups in the upper loops. There is no potable water there anymore in the upper loops. might be down lower or near the boat ramp. Bring your paddleboards, kayaks and fishing poles as there is tons or shoreline to explore.

Vedauwoo Campground

Busy in the summer, empty in the fall and spring during the cold months. Great rock climbing, hiking and fishing. Watch out for firearms shooting in the area.

Campbell Creek Campground

Campbell Creek is a beautiful little campground tucked in among pine trees with rock formations on one side. There is plenty of space between sites and is super quiet. At least during my stay, we hardly saw anyone in the area as you are remote, with Douglas being the closest town. Note that there are warning signs of bears in the area, so you must practice food safety (food kept inside hard-sided trailers, vehicles, or bear resistant containers).

Vedauwoo Campground

There are some really cool hike-in tent sites amongst the boulders. There is hiking and climbing just a short walk from the campground. The noise from the interstate is the only con to this campground.
