Camping with an outstanding view of the prairie. Uninhibited sunrises and sunsets over the mountains in the distance. Campfires welcome. Grab some fresh eggs from the community chicken coop for breakfast. Enjoy the occasional lulling of cows as they pass by on the ranch next door. Roughly 15 minutes away from Crystal and Granite reservoir. So beautiful you have to see it to believe it.

The scenery across the prairie looking toward Larime is absolutely gorgeous, with a big sky and photo worthy sunsets. The host Stewart was one of the nicest people on earth gorgeous sure, willing to go the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. I camp in a very sturdy Springbar tent, but honestly, the winds in the evenings and throughout the night were so high and rough that I feared a rip in the tough canvas during an hour during headwinds of a thunderstorm. With forecasts of winds and storms on my 3rd day, I got up and packed out early. Maybe if I had been in a van I could have stayed. The area is great and so are the hosts...just know that the winds can be fierce.

A nice place to prairie/farm camp. Very quiet. Wonderful hosts made sure we had what we needed (thanks for the fresh eggs!) Great views and we saw beautiful sunsets every evening. This is a good spot if you’re just passing through, or to use as a basecamp to check out Cheyenne and/or Laramie. As a reminder, this is prairie land, so bring your own shade!

They were amazing!! So helpful and kind the whole time we stayed there. Stuart brought us eggs in the morning and also gave us firewood. They were very hospitable!!

Secluded, beautiful views but very primitive. Be sure to have all your supplies. Hosts are very nice and helpful. Recommended.
