Welcome to Barker Gap! Opened in August 2024 we offer 3 beautifully shaded rv/camper spots, 2 pull thru spots and 1 back in. We have NO size or slide out restrictions, our spots were built with your comfort in mind. All spots come standard with 50A/30A/110 electric hookup, city water, Bbq/park grill, stone fire pit and sewage hookup at every campsite. Wi-Fi is also included for all campers. At this time we do not have bathrooms available to tent camping or any primitive style camping. The BEAR'S DEN cabin is a 1 room 1 bathroom cabin. Built to sleep 4 with a spacious queen bed perfect for falling asleep on, a cozy twin bed for reading/sleeping, and stowed under the twin bed is an adventure cot for that outside nap on the deck. The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Coffee, bedding, towels, bar soap, provided. So what are you waiting for? It's time to camp!

We recommend high clearance and/or 4WD or AWD vehicles. If you are unable to cross the creek, you will need to park in the parking area and walk across the creek to reach your site.

This beautiful property sits on the banks of the Fourche La Fave (pronounced Foosh La Fay) River. This 151 mile long river was once the grounds of the Caddo Native American Tribe. Scott County is over 70% public national forest, with thousands of acres of public land available for hiking, ATV/UTV/Jeep riding, and many other activities for the outdoor enthusiast. Beautiful flowing river for swimming, fishing, canoeing. Nice open air pavilion with power,  LED lighting and a large picnic table. New for 2026 is the full custom bathroom! There is also a camp style grill for cooking right at the rivers edge.  Dedicated hammocking area overlooking the river, or have some friendly competition with a game of Bag-O game (boards provided).  This area offers a wide open space for exercising, walking/bike riding along a country road, or just relaxing by the riverbank.  Want a little more adventure? This area boasts an expansive network of country dirt roads and trails for your ATV/UTV or Jeep, and is less than five miles from the Ouachita National Forests' Fourche Mountain Trail. All this but still close to civilization. A 24 hour convenience store is less than two miles from the campsite. This quaint little spot has a lot to offer!

1 night at Yearling Ridge Riverfront Camp

My fiance and I found this private paradise on a river 🤗 it was perfect!!! 💓 Tent site plenty of room for alot of tents 2 rv/camper hookups. New bathroom installed (shower not completed yet). Perfect for solo, couples, families and friends gathering. All private one booking. Had small fridge and cook burner, and firewood provided and kayaks and a small boat to rent cheap. Loved the deck with kitchenette and picnic table and the arched fireplace area with swinging benches and chair. So relaxing!! I stayed up very late and was up very early swinging next to firepit, looking at the stars listening to crickets and water flowing, firepit and the morning birds chirping, water flowing and faint rooster call in distance. Very nice host came by to check in about an hour after we arrived. Will def be back. Didn't catch any fish. So relaxing under the stars listening to the river flow. Neighbors up the road with chickens u can see from a distance free range. Def recommend!

1 night at Bullwick Farms

Loved camping here. The alpacas scared my mom, but they’re not aggressive - just very assertive. They reminded me of Thing 1 and Thing 2 haha. If you keep your hand up and let them smell you, they will accept you onto their property. The other animals were very sweet and like other campers, the white donkey greeted and stayed with us until we finished setting up. If I ever pass through this part of the country again, I will definitely stay here.

Weekend Trip to Yearling Ridge Riverfront Camp

We loved the property. Being right on the water was awesome. We brought our 2 dogs who could play in the water and run off leash. It’s very private and a major bonus was the newly built bathhouse. It was peaceful and relaxing, would definitely rent again!!

Coming in an RV? No need to camp in a parking lot. Many RV campsites with gorgeous mountain views and privacy

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch

This is a great property with beautiful views and hikes! It's a great place for trail riding if you have the proper gear. The staff is exceptional and really accommodating. Just be patient with the county road .... a lot of the roads in the area are a little rocky and rutty. My small Mazda did just fine.

We loved staying here, our 2nd time to visit. The campground is well maintained and is peaceful. I love that it’s a smaller campground and other campers were all respectful. This is our new favorite place.

2 nights at Ferguson Farms

I car camped at the farm several days, the land itself is a dream. Beautiful rolling hills with plenty of room for any kind of setup. Nice hiking trail close by, it’s currently under construction but a good portion is already usable (and very nice). The farm is filled with fun critters to admire, I really enjoyed getting to meet and pet Valentino the horse! The host Fara is exactly what you would want from a campsite host, very kind, attentive, and truly cares for her guests! If you’re in the area stop by a night or two, you’ll be glad you did!

We loved this campground. Liked how quiet and small it was. The spots were very well maintained and level. Lots of room for camper and sxs. WiFi actually worked. Picnic table would be the only thing that would be great to have. Owners even reminded us about the temperatures dropping below freezing, so we would not forget about our water hose.

Aux Arc Campground

This is a horrible place to tent camp. Power plant and factory noise 24/7 as well as trains.

Aux Arc Campground

Aux Arc Campground is a beautiful place to camp. Tents, sleeping bags, RVs, Motorhomes, etc... You can listen to the River run and watch the Geese, and other water birds, squirrels, etc... Very peaceful calm place to camp... and Steve is an awesome person to deal with!!
