ABH developed BaseCamp and is feverishly working to breathe life into our downtown square. You will find a coffee shop, candy store, a Bruncherie, microbrewery and nightlife. We are grateful for your support of our efforts through your visit to Humboldt.
Base Camp is a 21 acre modern glampground + RV Park, trailhead, and bike park located in Humboldt.
We have beautiful tiny home cabins, mini A-frames and full service pull-through RV hookups. Located in Humboldt, KS at the trailhead to the Southwind rails-to- trails. Base Camp features a quarry pond for fishing and small watercrafts, large open fields for recreation and a bike skills course perfect for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Currently, we do not offer tent camping - coming soon!
Our RV spots are located in our paved parking lot. Each rental includes water, 30 and 50 amp electric and sewer hookups.

My family settled on this plot of land at the turn of the century, moving west in a covered wagon. And aside from a brief time in the late 80's it has been in our family ever since. For most of the 20th century the property was a small farm, grazing cattle and mowed for bailing hay. We are trying to rejuvenate the property and breathing some new life into this old plot of land.

The Hill, aptly named, is a hilltop that slopes down to a large pond that divides the twenty acre property in two. With plenty of room to stretch your legs you can enjoy a nature walk. In the evening enjoy the night sky around one of several fire rings, while roasting marshmallows. Easy access and only a quarter mile from the main road.

20 Acres of beautiful pasture. We are a small hobby farm with cows, chickens, dogs, and cats. The property has 2 ponds and you can watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening without moving.
Campground Rules & Expectations
We want every guest to have a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable stay. To help with that, please observe the following:
Alcohol is permitted in moderation for guests 21 and older. We ask that you drink responsibly, respect other campers, and observe quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. Excessive partying, loud music, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. All containers—especially glass—must be properly disposed of.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property due to fire risk. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping, and other forms of open-flame or heat-producing smoking.
Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Any use or possession of illegal substances will result in immediate removal from the property and may be reported to law enforcement.
Fires are allowed only when permitted by local guidelines and must remain in designated fire rings or pits. Never leave a fire unattended, and fully extinguish it before leaving or going to sleep.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times, and please clean up after them. Some areas may be off-limits to animals for safety or environmental reasons.
Pack out what you pack in. Leave no trace—take all trash, food scraps, and gear with you when you leave.
Stay within the designated camping areas. Do not enter marked private zones, animal pens, or restricted areas.
We reserve the right to end your stay early if these guidelines are not followed. Thanks for helping us preserve the land and respect fellow guests.

Base Camp was my first experience with my new-to-me camper and Hipcampers and it was a great experience!
Base Camp is set up very well...easy to get in and out of - especially for anyone with little experience. The pull through spots are very wide. Although I didn't get to use the free to use bicycles or canoes on this trip I did check them out and they are very well taken care of.
The Camp was peaceful and although it's just off the roadway it was very quiet with very little road noise.
I will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The campsites were nice and level, making setup easy. Campers have access to a beautiful pond surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing. The paddle boats and provided life jackets were a fun bonus, and we loved having bikes available and easy access to the nearby bike trail.
A couple of things could be improved: the grounds could use more frequent mowing, and a larger trash receptacle for campers would be helpful. Overall, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable spot, and we’d definitely come back!

BaseCamp Humboldt is a great place for those who wish to ride the Southwind rail-trail, as we did, with the trail being directly adjacent to the facility. Directions were clear and the facility well maintained, with lots of things to do on-site.

My wife and I loved it.
We were passing through and needed a spot for the night . Found Base Camp on HipCamp and loved it.
We had the property to ourselves, after dinner took a walk around the very well kept grounds. There are bikes and canoes for use to people staying and about 8 little cabins for a glamping getaway.
Would definitely stay again only next time longer.

What a great place to camp! Very quiet and beautiful place. We stayed next to the antique barn with beautiful views in all directions. It was a wonderful farm, country atmosphere. We got to meet the owners and their family. Wonderful people. I highly recommend the Midwest Mama Farms!

Weekend Trip to BaseCamp Humboldt
Base Camp was an amazing weekend getaway and we wished we had another day there! The bathrooms were amazing and bike repair building is a great amenity which also includes a room with pool table, couches, and kitchen. We met Jon and his wife during our stay and it was evident they love having this space for people to enjoy, great conversation and stories! The pond was a great place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning & dinner in the evening. Our doggies also gave this two paws up for the open space to walk around and explore.

This was an absolutely delightful space. We brought our 5th wheel and the parking and amenities for it were top notch. Jon was responsive and accommodating. We will absolutely be back. It would be a great spot to bring kids.

Great spot to camp and relax. This is a COE managed campground and it is popular so reservations during camping season is recommended. For tent campers, make sure you check out the pics of the site before booking. There may not be a space to setup the tent at the site on grass.
