Sitting above the Arkansas River you have an excellent view of the river from two vantage points. With a large almost 2 acre clearing there is plenty of room to roam.  Magical sunsets and more stars than you can count!  When it's a full moon, you can watch it coming up through the trees as you are sitting in front of the fire.  If you are really lucky, sometimes you can watch the searchlight from the river barges as they navigate the big bend in the river.  If you are a nature lover this place has it all.   Navigate to the entrance here (https://maps.app.goo.gl/GyC2mifqGSaosHSm7) and you will find the main entrance to both sites: Is located near the bottom of the road but actually has two views of the river.  It is very secluded and a little more concealed, which can be good on hot days as there are more trees for coverage.   NOTE: Site 2 can only support tents and small popups. The site will allow for multiple vehicles to be parked, so no problem there.  If you bring any vehicles please do not ride them on the property as they damage the grass, there are lots of good off-road riding to be had in the area. Toadsuck Lock and Dam park are about 30 minutes away, and if you need a big Walmart there is one 10 minutes past that.  There is also a big Walmart about 30 minutes in the other direction at the intersection of Chenal Parkway and Cantrell Road. And if you like hiking and climbing then you cannot miss Pinnacle Mountain State Park!  Climb to the top and get the best views in all the area, 360 degrees views up there.  And if you want something a little less steep, the Kingfisher trail at the bottom makes a nice gentle loop next to the Little Maumelle river where you can see absolutely GIANT cypress trees.  Also, the Ouachita National Recreation Trailpasses just 5 miles from our place, and it loops around the entire north side of Lake Maumelle.  There is a trailhead and parking near North Shore Landing. The gates will be open to Williams Rock Area by noon of your arrival. It's primitive camping, so find your own "spot" on the property, respect the privacy of others at their "spots". First come first serve on each spot. The camp spots are not graveled, leveled, etc.. just the bare earth. The majority of this property is the woods, open fields, rough terrain, etc. So you will experience all Nature has to offer. Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. If you'd like to stay another night, you must reserve another night online.

And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own. I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock. Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn. You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that. There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas. The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.) The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE. Batesville Mountain Campground is about "getting away from it all" with nary another soul in sight. If you have qualms about being alone in the woods -- this is NOT the place!! There are only four campsites on the entire property so you are always out of sight and hearing of any -- you can even upgrade for $10/night and have the entire property all to yourself! It is that special!! And absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful! Sparky, the stone mason who quarried, cut and stacked every rock on every trail within the campground, has created a wondrous place to come camp and explore. We are also now restoring Sparky's original homestead -- the one room Green Cabin is soon to be our new "romantic retreat" with outdoor kitchen and shower, chicken house, and two-hole traditional Swedish "utedass"–or privy. As to where to sleep ... well you may lay your head anywhere -- under the stars, atop a pinnacle, out in a field or sheltered in the woods by the river. BUT this is "DIY" camping -- as we have day jobs we are unable to cater to your every whim and you will have to be able to "depend on yourself" to negotiate the campground, set up your campsite and secure needed resources. Thus if there is any concern or question you really should stay at one of our other properties either Camp Toasty or Pinnacle Springs Recreational Camp. PLEASE -- we don't want to be bothered with phone calls and text messages -- not here anyway. Trails from Sparky's Cabin lead in all directions offer access to hiking, swimming, fishing and paddling. You'll find no better place to "forest bathe".

Scraped a few times coming up the road in my lowered 95 camry, didnt do any damage but did have to clear some larger rocks away. Wasn't too bad coming up or down! Beautiful spot. Watched meteor shower and the sunset. Will be back!

Me and my sister booked 2 nights SUPER last minute and had an AMAZING time. The view from the bluff is stunning, and the campground is tidy and clean. The common area is super cool and clean as well. I have a mid size suv, so had no problem with the road, but I would not recommend if you drive a sedan (or if it rains haha). The property is located conveniently 45 minutes from Mountain View and also Blanchard caverns. Robert and his wife were incredible hosts (even made us blueberry muffins)! Would definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Pinnacle Springs Recreational Park

If you're looking for some peace and quiet and not afraid to get in touch with nature, this is the place to be. If you're a "glamper" you should probably not stay here. The campground is clean (dirt and bugs are considered normal) and well maintained. We stayed at the cabin and it was everything we needed. Will definitely come back, if given the chance.

The area was absolutely stunning. The views are breathtaking. Everything is so nice and clean and the hosts are very welcoming. We celebrated our 30th anniversary here. Robert and his wife had muffins and cookies waiting on us. The air stream is a wonderful addition. We made morning coffee and watched the sun come up. I highly recommend for a great weekend getaway.

Robert's lands was excellent for tent camping over the weekend. The views from the hill top are breathtaking and it's also great for stargazing with minimal artificial light. I wasn't expecting the trailer with a kitchenette, bathroom and wifi, great amenities that surely lots of people appreciate. I'll definitely be returning!

Being new to hicamp as well as solo camping. I honestly don't know what to expect. Was everything I was hoping for. Completely safe campsite by the water. It was a bit chilly at night so no fans to drown out the beautiful sounds of nature. The hiking trails are amazing with plenty of places to just relax and get lost in nature. The Owners strict policy to preserve and leave nature as it is has left so much natural growth you dont get to experance often. Cant wait to see the waterfall when the water was up. I enjoyed walking up the center relaxing on the rocks with it dry. My puppy enjoyed every moment of his creek adventure. We definitely will be returning!

Michelle was a very helpful and accommodating host. We came down on a holiday weekend and despite that she was very attentive to our needs. It rained a lot while we were down but that did not hurt the experience. The water toys and water on property were so fun!

Not surprising that #3 is our third most popular site == super family friendly!

We camped at Peachy Beach (camp #3), which had a firepit and a nice flat area to pitch the tent. The whole area is beautiful and serene. Our kids loved the zipline at the Adventure Playground and swimming in the creek. The one caution I would give is that the road is very steep and narrow and partially washed out/not level in places with a steep drop off on one side. We have a Chrysler Pacifica and we bottomed out several times, both on the way in and out, and fishtailed/lost traction quite a bit on the way out/up. I personally would not do it again without a vehicle that's significantly higher off the ground, preferably something with 4WD. Other than that, our stay was great!

Omg! This is the perfect place. Bring your fishing poles and enjoy a nice size Lake on 100 acres with a creek. Me and my fur baby thoroughly enjoyed our stay while passing through on our way to Arizona. We will be staying again on our way back to Georgia. Logan is a wonderful host and the place is immaculate!

This place is very cool. If you are a fan of Hip-Camps that are located off the beaten trail this one is totally for you! It had a fridge and freezer, washer and dryer and two AC units. The outside is misleading because the inside is really nice. There is a good chance I'll be staying here again! The only thing id say that is not a positive in the long drive from the road to the cabin itself thats gravel, dirt and grass. Not ideal of motorcycles. But id still give it a high rating!
