Went there for Thanksgiving stayed on site BRX01 and of course I was the only idiot camping this time of year. Even though it was cold Nick provided plenty wood on the site and all through out if you need more. Each site has plenty of room makes you feel like your in your own piece of property. Would comeback under warmer conditions.

The site was easy to get to and it was a beautiful setting. There was firewood stacked and available for our use. There were frequent trains that ran on the tracks that are very close, but they didn't bother us.

BRX01, a private peaceful site.
This piece of property is beautiful. You get to go past fields, railroad tracks, an old oil well then into the woods. And once you’re up in there, it’s magnificent. It was private, the ports potty on property was convenient, the fire area was perfect, and my dog had the best damn time of his life. While i was eating dinner Nick and a friend of his rolled past just to make sure i had enough fire wood and he was super nice and All around good vibe from him. You can hear when the train goes by but it didn’t bother me one bit. Definitely a place i’d recommend.

I had a great time moto-camping here. Plenty of firewood was provided and the manicured forest made for an excellent hang in my camping hammock. The trail beckoned exploration and a ravine to the north made the spot feel more secluded. The bathroom was indoors but some distance away (350 yards). It's a nice gateway to full on dispersion camping if you'd like to test gear with the safety net of civilization. The host, Nick, was jovial and enthusiastic about my stay. I enjoyed riding my adv bike back to camp. There are, however, plenty of trains rolling at all hours so bring earplugs. American freight never sleeps! If you're looking for a late-night put-in with your motorcycle crew, I wouldn't worry about waking anyone up. The axe-throwing was a highlight of my stay!

BRX02 Private Large Site
The site is spacious and secluded. I definitely recommend if you have a large group but don’t want a standard campground. The train tracks are busy and close, so if you don’t think you can sleep through the train, then maybe not for you. We didn’t mind it.

I had a great time at Barrel RUN #4. Site was private and had plenty of firewood. The creek that runs right behind the site is a nice scenic touch. Would recommend 👌

We always love tent camping on Nick's land! We come here every year in September and love it every time! It's secluded and beautiful! I love being surrounded by the amazing trees and wildlife! He has a great fire pit, picnic table, portapotty, and some axes for throwing! Tons of space! Nick is great, too! Love it here and will continue to camp on Nick's land for years to come!

The site we stayed at was very spacious and very pretty. The host was very kind and very helpful with directions. There was tons of firewood available for us to use which was awesome. There were two bathrooms, a porta john close to the site and an indoor bathroom they keep open. Both were very useful. Overall, great site, great times, and we'll be back in the Spring.

The sites are flat and there is pleanty of space for multiple tents. They are very secluded and the free fire wood is a great bonus. Stayed here two times already and would come back again.

This is the second time we've stayed at this site and we loved it just as much as the first time. The property had more campers than it did the first timewe camped there. So we did occasionally see someone walk by our site with their dog. And one car turned around in the driveway for our site, probably in the process of finding their owns site. But beyond that we never heard anything from any of the other sites. We did get some rain one night and the next morning/afternoon. But the tree canopy gives great coverage and it was not problematic at all. The canopy also provided tons of shade and relief from the high temps and humidity. We will be back!

Loved this site! In the woods, shaded and secluded. Lots of bugs so make sure to bring bug spray. If trains bother you, this isn’t the spot for you but the noise didn’t bother us. A perk was free firewood! Came up this way to hike at Cuyahoga NP. If we’re ever in the area again, we will be back!

Had a great time with family! Nice private spot on a farm. Set up 4 tents no problem. Nice stock of free firewood set on site and a restroom with hot water sink a short walk away. Great host, well maintained with a trash can on site as well.
High speed trains barrel through all night but other than that, overall a nice experience.

Barrel run is a great place to stay whether it be for a night or a week. ( I stayed 3 nights / 4 days ) Plenty of walking to be done and fire wood to burn. Natures sound is great in the morning and at night. Nick was very kind in letting us set off fireworks for the 4th of July as well as let us have a few extra people come visit to watch. The campsites are in fact private. During my visit I’m not sure if anyone else was camping at the other sites. We didn’t see anyone else the whole time we were camping. Oh yeah, the fire pit is top notch when it comes to airflow. Nick put great effort into making sure the fire pit burns REALLY GOOD. The site was very clean and easy to choose a tent spot. BRX01 I feel could hold up to 3 8x8 tents comfortably with room to still not be crunched together. There is a train near by but wasn’t a bother at all. Just like any camping trip. Be sure to bring the bug stuff as there is plenty of bugs to go around 😆
10/10 will be going again before the end of this year (2024)

Overall great place, easy to find, private, lots of wood, and fireflies. There is a close by train which ran periodically through the night. We stopped counting after the 8th time it woke us up. Besides the train, good spot, but be prepared.

We have stayed at these sites previously, and have enjoyed the private nature of the sites. It is very nice to have the firewood provided and already split. We brought two vehicles and two tents and still had lots of room at our site. We enjoyed walking the dogs around the property. Things of note would be that it is private from others, however there is considerable train noise, as well as the occasional dirtbike or two in the distance. The train noise doesn't bother us or our dogs, so we would not hesitate to reserve/stay again!

Great little camp site. Its local, was our first with our 11 month old puppy. We wanted a simple 1 day campsite that was local and it filled in all the boxes. Its a huge property, this site it tucked away in the trees so there is plenty of shade, plenty of firewood. We will be coming back again.

Great Spot! As everyone mentioned, the train is frequent however it did not diminish the quality of our stay. We enjoyed the privacy, the campsite was well kept, roomy, and came with firewood! Our site was about a 10-minute walk to the indoor bathroom which wasn't bad and offered the running water which many of our campers cannot go long without.
