Such a special place and wonderful family campground. Mark and his family are such kind and warm hearted hosts and we just love the family campground that he has revitalized and opened to share with us HipCampers.

Memorial Weekend Memories
Memory Park is a great place to camp. Within 1 mile of Atwood Lake State Park it is a perfect location for a quiet and peaceful weekend gateway. Mark and his family are amazing and very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this Hipcamp destination.

Beautiful grounds, hospitable owner
We really enjoy the quiet solitude while camping at Memory Park Campground! The owners are very hospitable, kind and really want the visitors to be comfortable and pleased with their stay. The grounds and sites are well kept, the scenery is beautiful with plenty of trees and songbirds. Fire pits are well kept. We recommend staying here and will return!
P.S. Bring earplugs in case an occasional train comes by as tracks are close. Not enough to keep us from returning!

Mark's land was my last stop on the way home to NY from TX, and I could not have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing spot to stay. The property was immaculately cared for, and he got a fire started for me before I arrived which was much appreciated. Plenty of firewood to burn through dusk, not a mosquito to be seen, but plenty of wildlife to take in. If I'm ever passing through the area again, I'll be making a point to stop by again. Thanks Mark!

The Cure for the Common Campground
Such a nice campground! Mark greeted us and was extremely friendly. He even put a small pumpkin on the table since it was Halloween weekend and had the firewood we prepaid for already at the site. Definite care has been taking into the infrastructure of the campground, there are nice gravel roads and all the sites have grass. Additional firewood was available for a reasonable fee and the porta potty was very clean. Be sure to bring your own drinking water, there is non-potable water available at a pump. While we were lucky enough to have the whole campground to ourselves, the sites were private and placed much farther apart than the typical Ohio state park campsites. We will be back to check out some of the other sites. It's the perfect place for our Vanagon Westfalia camper van, but would also be great for tent camping or an RV or camper. Pictures of Honeymoon Point will show big power lines, but the area is so nice that they don't really spoil the view. What a great place!

Just what the Dr ordered. We had an amazing time unplugging and relaxing on such a beautiful campsite. Private, quiet, meticulously well kept. Mark could not have been a more welcoming host. So nice for him to share these grounds that have been in his family for generations with hipcampers. Truly a gem and we are already planning another visit. Every campsite at memory park is great.

Shady paradise!
A beautiful and peaceful piece of land, covered by a canopy of trees. Mark was super helpful, bring me wood for a fire (and helping me get it going). My pooch and I had a lovely evening, and thanks to the canopy of trees, I was able to make breakfast and decamp relatively easily during a bit of rain.

Best camping ever!
I just have to say that this place really is amazing. I have been there 3 times and I will still be back. The campground is beautiful, the attention to detail from Mark is awsome. I just recently brought my father there for a father's day weekend trip and he really loved the place. So I've been there with just me and my dog, then my wife and I and then my father so I'll be bringing my mother there sometime soon. Thank you so much Mark for being an amazing host and look forward to seeing you again!

Site 1 - Fox Den Campsite
When searching for a last minute campground, every public area appeared to be fully booked. That's when I discovered Hipcamp and Memory Park Campground. I'm so glad I did! On a busy weekend, we shared the entire park with 1 other couple, which we wouldn't have known had the owner not told us.
Each site at Memory park is beautiful, quiet, and secluded. With tons of firewood. We chose Fox Den for a group of 6 of us (1 RV, 2 tents, 1 RTT) it was perfect! We could've easily fit another 10+ people there, thats how much room we had. Cannot wait to go back. The hosts/owners are so kind and passionate about their park. I recommend this place to anyone and any type of camping rig (assuming you are okay with no hookups)

First Camping Trip Success!
Memory park is aptly named. We have been hip-camping for a few years now, but had our almost two-year niece and her parents out for the family”s first camping trip ever. Even with the storm that rolled in, they loved it!
The camp is set up so that you feel secluded, but it has all of the amenities that makes a first camping experience comfortable. It’s also close to Atwood lake, so there’s plenty to do for a long stay.

A Hidden Gem
My friend and I booked a last minute stay at Honeymoon Point. It’s a wonderful and quaint spot with plenty of room for multiple cars or an RV. We were delighted to find Mark waiting for us on site with ample amount of wood for the evening. Other than having to eventually leave, the only downside was there are quite a few mosquitoes in the area. This can be remedied by getting your fire going early though and ample amount of Off! We are looking forward to another opportunity to stay at honeymoon point in the future. Thanks Mark! 😊

Hidden gem near Atwood Lake
This campground was an absolute GEM to stumble upon when searching for a quiet, last-minute spot. I'm almost hesitant to tell the rest of the world about it! ;) Mark replied to my booking request quickly and, knowing that we'd be arriving later in the evening, he generously had a fire going for us upon arrival! It was the perfect way to kickoff our weekend. (Tip: buy some firewood, the generous amount is totally worth it.) The spot was perfect - wooded and off the main road but still very close to Atwood Lake. You will occasionally hear cars in the distance and the train but I'll take that any day over a campground with tons of traffic driving by my site. We parked our truck camper in the shade, hung a hammock between the trees, played cards at the picnic table, cooked over the fire, & played lots of fetch with our dogs in the grassy area. We explored the entire park with our dogs, enjoyed the bench overlooking the creek and tried out the fun tree swing. The portapotty is the cleanest one I've ever seen and in better shape than some actual park restrooms. You can tell Mark truly cares for the property and wants his guests to enjoy the space. We're already checking our schedules to return again for fall foliage, if not before!

Honeymoon Point
It was just my dog and me CARping. Honeymoon Point was my last overnight stay in a three-day CARping/hiking trek. Although Mark was physically absent he was very reachable via phone (when you could find service). His in-laws lived close and were very kind and helpful. This area is tucked away from everyone else so you can enjoy your privacy and watch the sunset! If you're looking to escape reality and just live in the moment then this is the right place for you!
