Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the clubs you may be used to. Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas a bus, container and camper available as lodging options. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and outdoor showers. We have a hot tub guests can use along with hiking trails and a propane grill. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. Come stay on the buff bluff! We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

Glamping cabin at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. The Jesus bus was being used as a church bus before we acquired it, hence the name Jesus bus. It's a great escape from the elements with heating and air conditioning, cold water sink,(we turn the water off between November and April), mini fridge, microwave, table with chairs and a bed with bedding. The bus is located in the heart of Sunset Mountain Adult Only Nudist Campground. When you rent the bus you will have full use of our campground. You will have the bus to yourself and your guest only. Sunset Mountain is not a swinger campground or sex club. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed. Our campground is 1.2 miles from the city park in Noel where there is free river access. Sorry for the inconvenience but for safety reasons we ask for a valid photo id from anyone that wants to stay with us. The Camper at Sunset Mountain

Nudist campground. Adults only but we do not allow activity of a sexual nature at our campground. This camper has a cook stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, toilet, heat and air and a bed with bedding. However, it does not have hot water. Please do not leave food in the camper when you leave. This beautiful camper has propane appliances and you will have to light the burners on the stove if you want to use it. IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH PROPANE ACCESSORIES DO NOT RENT THE CAMPER OR DO NOT USE ALL OF ITS FEATURES. We may not be here during your stay to help you if you have problems. This camper has several features but we do not keep it fully stocked with utensils and some other things you may be used to. My wife and I live on the property but may or may not be there during your stay. For safety reasons we only allow small fires in our fire ring located near the bath house. Please use electric or propane fire pits and grills at individual campsites. Sunset Mountain is also a working cattle farm and guests will be near livestock but should have no interactions with them. This also means that during warm weather there will be flies out. We do take some measures to prevent flies but we limit our use of pesticides so that we lessen our negative impact to the environment. Many guests choose to spend time kayaking on the nearby river or taking a day trip into NWA for mountain biking and other activities. We have created a unique camping experience where guests can be nude and connect with nature but no one will force you to be nude. We keep an updated copy of the rules in the A frame bath house. Our campground is 1.2 miles from the city park in Noel where there is free river access. 4.5 miles from Mt. Shira free river access and 5.5 from Pineville Missouri free access. Sorry for the inconvenience but for safety reasons we ask for a valid photo id from anyone that wants to stay with us. Cabin at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. This glamping cabin is a mixture of luxury and simplicity. Although there is no running water in the container it is just a short walk across the driveway to the bathroom facility. And just a few steps more to a frost free hydrant available for guests to use. When staying in the container you will notice it’s all steel interior. This was intentionally done so that guests can add stickers to the walls to promote places you have stayed at/traveled to or businesses you like. Please don’t leave stickers with profanity or overtly sexual content. Sunset Mountain is not a sex club or swinger campground. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed in shared spaces. The Fire Pit Tent Site

Tent area at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. The Fire Pit is any location near the fire pit area. You will enter the campground area and this is the area on your right hand side in the little grove of trees near the fire pit. We do recommend bringing sand bags or something else heavy to tie your tent down with. Our ground is extremely rocky and it is hard to drive tent stakes in. This is a high traffic area and is in our front yard near the sun decks and bathroom facility. Do not expect much privacy in this area. Tent sites do not have electricity but there are plug-ins on the bathroom facility and on our porch. If you would like electricity please rent one of the rv sites and set your tent area up there. Rv site 2 is the best one for tenting. Sunset Mountain is not a swinger club or sex facility. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed. For more information about the campground please message us. Tent area at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. The Redbud Tent Site is on the left side of the driveway as you enter the campground and near our small Redbud tree. This site is at the front end of the campground so other guests will be driving by the area which may create dust, but there should not be much foot traffic near this area. This site is not very private but no one should bother you. We have hay bales stacked next to this campsite and it is also near our shipping container. We do recommend bringing sand bags or something else heavy to tie your tent down with. Our ground is extremely rocky and it is hard to drive in tent stakes. No electricity at site. No shade trees either. There is electricity on the bathroom facility and on our porch but not at tent site. If you want a site with electricity please rent an rv site and put your tent there. Rv site 2 is behind the Jesusbus and Rv site 1 is the next one past Rv site 2 and farthest away from the bathroom facility. Sunset Mountain is not a sex club or swinger campground. This is the site you will reserve if you are coming to Sunset Mountain nudist camp for the day only. Please drive to the top of the hill and park in the gravel near the wooden fence that way you won't block a potential camper from getting to their site. The gravel area is sunny so you may want to bring sun shades for the window of your vehicle. Day visits are good from 9am to dark unless other arrangements have been made with management. Hipcamp doesn't have an official day visit listing at this time so it will show different hours and you may have to select two nights to make it work. When you come for the day you are welcome to all of the amenities of the campground such as hiking, seasonal cooling pool, outdoor showers, bathroom facility, communtiy fire pit, hot tub etc... When coming for a day visit it is important to remember our hiking trails are not open on weekdays October 15-April15.

Rent this site if you are coming to Sunset Mountain nudist camp for the day only. Hipcamp doesn't have an option for day visits yet but if you rent this we will know your intentions. You may have to enter two dates as an overnight stay to make this work. Hipcamp doesn't have an official day visit listing yet so we do it this way. Day visits are good from 9am to dark unless other arrangements have been made with management. Please come in and park in the gravel at the top of the hill near the fence so that you don't park in the way of another camper. Private Overland Trail

This is your private nudist oasis. You and or your group will be the only ones camping here. You can hike in or drive in if you have a good 4x4 vehicle. These are aggressive trails and you will need ground clearance. You will need to bring your own camp toilet when camping here. You will also need to bring your own trash receptacle. The overland trail is best for vehicle camping or possibly hammock camping but this area does not have many spots where tents will work well. There are lots of trees so in the event of a windstorm it may be best for you to leave the overlanding area so that any dead limbs or trees don’t fall on your vehicle. You are welcome to go inside the end of our shipping container during a storm. The trail is very unlevel. You may need leveling blocks for your vehicle if you want a more comfortable camping position. No electricity at site. There is electricity at our campground but not in this private area. There are no street lights either so it does get extremely dark at night. You will pass a water hydrant on your way to the campsite and you are welcome to fill up containers with water if you need some. There may be firewood left over from another guest or you can bring your own. Also, you are welcome to gather any down or dead wood off of the forest floor to burn in the fire ring. Please do not cut any live trees or branches from live trees. This private overland trail gives you the perfect opportunity to try naturism without the social aspect but you are welcome to all of the amenities at Sunset Mountain while camping here. Just drive back through the gate you came in from and come back to the main camp area. There is an indoor shower and a couple of outdoor showers along with hot tub and cooling pool. Sunset Mountain is not an offroad park. We do allow you to drive to and from the private overland area but please don’t drive down our other hiking trails. Sorry for the inconvenience but for safety reasons we ask for a valid photo id from anyone that wants to stay with us. The new extended stay feature allows you to extend your stay at Sunset Mountain we may still ask you to vacate the private site so we can prepare for the next guest. This area is shared with our cattle, when booking please allow us time to move them before your arrival

This site is available April 15-October 15 every day of the week. Between October 15-April 15 please give us notice because the sites will be closed during weekdays for the cattle to graze. This spot is the first one on your right once you drive through the gate. This site is closer to the outhouse than it is to a flush toilet. You may want to bring your own camp toilet when camping here. We do recommend bringing sand bags or something else heavy to tie your tent down with. Our ground is extremely rocky and it is hard to drive in tent stakes. This site is under shade trees so in the event of a windstorm please do not stay in your tent and be aware of any dead limbs overhead that may fall on your vehicle. Campers are welcome to go inside the end of our shipping container during a storm. You can have a campfire in the fire ring if it’s not windy. Sometimes we have firewood available. The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

Sunset Mtn is growing! Each time I visit, the experience improves exponentially . That’s because James and his wife work tirelessly to make this place incredible for its guests. Breath-taking views, a safe clothing-optional/nudist environment, top notch ways to relax and take it all in! Buying a membership is the most cost-effective way to go, but if you’re just passing through the day rate is extremely fair for what you get. Look forward to friendly faces, a hot tub, trails to explore and great spots to book for an overnight stay….Above all, you get to do it all NUDE! I’ll be returning very soon!

Me and my husband loved the stay we had at Sunset Mountain , the campgrounds were beautiful, serene, and welcoming. Our host James was very accommodating and welcoming. The trail we walked was so peaceful and well maintained. The hot tub was beyond relaxing the jets gave the best massage. The bathroom was very clean. When we set up our tent the campsite was very clean normally I have to sweep an area for my tent but not here it was very nice how maintained the campgrounds were. We will definitely be back for more fun in the sun on beautiful Sunset Mountain!

I enjoyed my day visit to Sunset Mountain on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Because it was mid-March and a little windy and chilly on the mountain, I especially enjoyed the hot tub and the trails, though I did manage to get in a little sunbathing. I envision returning to enjoy the freedom offered.

Sunset Mountain is easily one of the best camps I've been to in my years of being a full timer and hosting at various parks. James and Amy are wonderful hosts who create a quiet, clean, and friendly atmosphere. Naturalism is professionally introduced in Arkansas at their ranch, which is perfect for adults to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain views or explore their land on marked, shaded trails. Booking online is easy. After reading and accepting the rules and sending the requested IDs, you can expect a gate code a couple of days before your arrival. Upon arriving, you'll drive up a quaint country road that winds up a steep knoll. Four-wheel drive is recommended if towing an RV to prevent tires from slipping and causing ruts. The climb is worth it, as the views from the top are amazing. The hot tub area has the perfect temperature and safety stairs for easy access. There's also an outdoor shower for rinsing off before and after soaking in the hot tub. I can't wait to return and enjoy another weekend in nature with hosts who provide a naturalism experience with class and professionalism.

We had a fantastic time for one night camping here. Use the hot tub and hung hammocks. Took walks and bike rides. The only downside was my wife slid out on some gravel on her bike and injured herself on our way into town. There was another camper and he gave us a ride back and ate with us at the restaurant. It was really fun. The owners were away for the weekend and so we had the place to ourselves just my wife and I and the other camper Ronnie. We had a bonfire as well.

The Redbud Tent Site

first off, let me say that, even though it’s very very private, it’s very easy to get to from the interstate and also close to town for shopping and such. In fact, I had a great meal at a local café called the Cliffhouse, about five minutes away. There are two outside showers in separate areas and the hot tub was spotless! The place reminds you of a hilltop farm. A very pleasant Stay!

Absolutely amazing property! From the amenities to the trails...not to mention the super fun quirky Jesus bus! And as the name of the place invokes, the sunset from the top of the mountain did not disappoint. To top it all off, we love to vacation in the nude! While James was not on site during our stay, his customer service is top notch.

Beautiful place to stay, relax, and unwind. The stay in the bus was almost enchanting, especially the drawings and life quotes wrote on the inside by previous campers. Overall, we had already planned to return before we finished our first ever round of pickleball. The hosts are kind and welcoming.

The camper is a very comfortable accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the top of the mountain. Our time there was relaxing and close to nature. No one else was around but that will not always be the case. Fireflies are a bonus! Looking forward to a return visit.

The sunsets still take our breath away every-time we see them! The camper is cozy with all necessities. We slept with just the screen door closed to hear the night sounds and smell the fresh air. We will be back again, and again to visit!

Friendly nudist campground

James and Amy have built a wonderful camp sight and they work to make sure everyone there will be friendly addition to the nudist atmosphere. You won’t find gawkers or people that are looking for something that isn’t naturism here if my visits are anything to go by. I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Can’t wait to return!

The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

Jame and Amy are great hosts and have their own slice of paradise. The land is spacious and beautiful, paired with great RV hookups, tent spaces, and of course, the Jesus Bus. I had an incredible visit and plan on returning soon. Sunbathing, relaxing in the pool or hotub (my favorite), and a nice trail around the property make for good ways to pass the time, slowly. Definitely a fan!

Sunset Mountain is absolutely beautiful! It's very peaceful and you never get tired of the views. The campground is very well maintained, and James was an excellent host. Can't wait to book our next trip back!!

The property is gorgeous and so well maintained . Sunset mountain is appropriate , the sunsets were amazing . The facilities were immaculately clean . And James is awesome with the communication part . I hope to return again soon !
