Description

The Boundary Waters hold a very special spot in the hearts of many Minnesotans, and there’s hardly a better spot to enter this magical area than Kawishiwi Lake’s campground. The sites are pull-in, and weren’t designed for RVs, but because all of the sites are over 21 feet long, you can easily roll up and park your RV (or trailer, or car, or just your tent!) The lake itself is an official entry point to the Boundary Waters, so grab your canoe (no motorized boats allowed out here) and get to explorin'.

But, wait! You’ll have to grab a day use permit before you can begin paddling. That’s easy enough, though—find them at the access point’s kiosk.
