Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Beautiful riverfront camping located in Puget Island Washington. Enjoy a private campsite on over 400 ft of riverfront access. Across the river from Bradley State Park and a historic bluff. Bring all of your fishing gear, it is known for the best sturgeon fishing (which is catch and release all year round) Free Washington Fishing APP FishWA at the app store on your phone. Enjoy biking around the island and kayaking on the Columbia River and in the sloughs. Boat launch is located just around the corner! Ferry access to Oregon is just a few miles away. 40 river miles from the Coast. Enjoy the quaint town of Cathlamet, 3 miles away with breweries, restaurants, shops, grocery store and the marina. RV parking with power (30 amp hookup) on the road. We require when tent camping that the tents are pitched where the rv parking is, due to rising waters with the tide. We will not be responsible for any refund of stay or damaged property if tents are pitched anywhere other than roadside pullout. Disclaimer: This is a shipping channel and tides vary day to day, hour to hour, so make sure you do your due diligence and check tide tables.Bring your RV and watch the ever changing wildlife and weather. Lots of seals, eagles, hawks, falcons and sturgeon and salmon jumping in the river all day. Enjoy the quiet and private land next to the campfire for a peaceful way to unwind! Endless island road to cruise around on bikes and see the beautiful scenery.

This campsite by the Columbia River is a mixed bag. Many campers enjoy the serenity and the views of the river with ships passing by, noting the peaceful atmosphere and opportunities for bird watching. However, the site lacks basic amenities like restrooms and a picnic table, and its proximity to the road is mentioned, though traffic is minimal. Flooding is a concern during winter, and some guests have noted the presence of a power tower on the site, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Unique Spot
4 ft travel trailer
We had fun camping next to the River and watching the ships go by, then looking them up to see where they're going/where they've been. Lots of great birding too, warblers, Bewick's Wren, Osprey, Eagles, etc. As others have said, you're near the road, but there's very little traffic. It felt private, had plenty of room. I did see that one reviewer found the site flooded, so maybe not a good winter spot. A little investment/improvement would be nice for the price, the "table", which is a pallet nailed to a stump, is falling apart. A picnic table, and bathroom would be awesome! Still very cool piece of property, was glad we got to check it out.

Gem of a site. We’ll be back.

After spending a quick night out in the fresh air, I fully plan on going back here again. It is a beautiful site with a lot of solitude, and is the perfect place to relax, launch SUPs or canoes, and enjoy the stars. As long as you understand that there are no amenities and have the necessary gear, you won’t be disappointed.

The beautiful surroundings aside, Nikki is one of the kindest hosts ever. Very accommodating and very responsive. I would 1000% recommend this spot. 💕💕💕

Misleading photos
Tent
This site is not all year round. It is flooded badly which leaves you a small space by the road. Too small forRV not a tent campsite at all. Host is unprofessional in her response gaslighting clients. there are many beautiful RV and campsite around, please don’t book this site at all. The photos are misleading.

Quiet spot near the river. Enjoyed watching the big boats go by and listening to the seals as they popped up. We settled down by the water for the evening - then moved to the higher spot to sleep to avoid high tides.

Camping with friends
24 ft travel trailer · Group trip
Camping on this land with our friends was the perfect place to reminisce. We had just one day of really cool, fall windy weather, but the others were good for watching the river traffic, fishing attempts, and just visiting around the campfire. There is what appears to be a power tower that connects across the river which may or may not be a concern to some people.
