Everything was great, the view is amazing. So beautiful - seals, birds, fish. It was all amazing, my family from California had a great time. There is a great, short hike at Rocky Brook Falls. The weather was supposed to be cooler and rainy but it was very pleasant and barely rained during the day

Our family thoroughly enjoyed camping on this property. 10 out of 10 I would recommend it! The views are amazing and being able to use the kayaks they have there was great.

This place is awesome you can’t get any closer to the water! The sound of the water and the animals at night are surreal! Seals to be seen during the day as well as eagles perched in nearby trees giving us quite the show as the stole food from the cranes and each other!!

Ginger’s land was in a great location for our weekend adventure in Olympic National Park. With a great view. Very close to the road (as the description says) so I would bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. I wore mine and slept great. The toilet was the cleanest portable toilet I have ever seen. I would stay again

The site was perfect for what I needed; a private, secure (gated!), and scenic spot with a clean porta-potty for van camping while fishing in the area. Yes, there's road noise, but that's pretty standard for ANY place right on Hood Canal, and there's very little traffic at night. Numerous trees effectively block headlights and passers-by eyeballs.
The little lounge deck, with seats and side tables, overlooking the canal (this is the scenic part) was perfect for having a beverage after a long day on the water! It's even covered, so when a brief shower passed by, I was warm and dry.
I was only there during high tide hours, so I can't comment on the beach, as it was mostly underwater.
The campsite itself is fairly small, and there were multiple unoccupied (but nice and well-kept) RVs parked surrounding it. If you're looking for a wilderness experience, this is probably not for you. As a base of operations for outdoor activities, it was conveniently located, relaxing, and comfortable. I would definitely use it again!

I chose Space #1 for my first solo camping experience due to the amenities and location.
Ginger, the host, was quickly responsive and helpful.
It was so relaxing camping with the door and front window facing a nice view of the water and listening to the waves lapping the shore and birds and wildlife noises.
There was a currently unused travel trailer next to me and further near is the owner’s space.
I felt totally safe here.
You will be below Highway 101 so, as Ginger states, there will be traffic noise which will die down at night. I was able to tune most of it out being busy and enjoying the beach.
I loved being able to harvest delicious fresh oysters. Be prepared for sticky mud when the tide is out. I have a walking pole and used it and the rails to get up and down the access and walk on the rocky beach.
I highly recommend this piece of paradise and hope to enjoy it again for a longer time. And bring a kayak!

Eagle Rock Beach
Really private, which worked well with my reactive dog. Easy access to the private beach. Numerous oysters available, unfortunately I don't eat oysters. Enjoyed watching the many eagles harass the blue heron. The porta-potty was very clean. Only downside, as Ginger mentioned, is the noise from the highway. I would definitely come here again.

Just what I needed! The solitude of hood canal was an amazing get away. So much wildlife to sit and watch.
The road noise wasn't bad. It's low background noise that the wash of the waves mostly covers. Bathroom, water, and somewhere to charge my phone? Yes please. The right combo between comfort and camping.
Waking up early to catch the amazing sunrise was incredible. Truly the gateway to the Olympics.
On my list of favorite places to camp. Beautiful, secluded, and relaxing. Will be camping here again!

This was a lovely spot along the Hood Canal! The kiddos really enjoyed swimming and playing tether ball. There was some road noise, but otherwise everything was perfect. The porta pot was clean, and the sink was a nice touch.

This camp site was perfect for us while we prepped for a backpacking trip in the Olympics. The scenery was gorgeous and we LOVED having beach access. Ginger's directions were super easy to follow and we felt safe & secure the whole time. Would highly recommend!

This campsite was beautiful!!! The host was so helpful, welcoming, and gave clear instructions to get to the site. you can walk down to the beach and enjoy time away for a while! Would 10/10 recommend!

This site was next to a loud highway with constant noise, if you are a tent sleeper I do not recommend. There is beach front access but you are not on the beach like picture shows. The owner keeps a trailer, storage container, random stuff, etc.. on the site which is visible and right next to you which gives this weird feeling that you aren’t alone. We were told the site next to us was booked out for our privacy but it looked like it hadn’t been used in months. It wasn’t cleaned or maintained much or at all after the previous campers. We were cautioned heavily to make sure the gates were locked and closed and both were open when we arrived… It overall was not a good experience, we ended up leaving 4 hours after we arrived when we were booked to stay 2 nights. None of the above was mentioned in the listing, especially not the road noise where we struggled to hear each other more than 3ft away with our backs turned. The porta potty was well maintained and the view was pretty but to me, it wasn’t worth everything else.

A nice February camping spot right on the bay. The covered fire pit was great in the rain. We ate oysters harvested from the beach.

This site had a fabulous view and accommodated our large party for a fraction of the price of other sites I was looking at. We had parking for 3 vehicles, well maintained/labeled property , potable water, porta potty and beach access. It’s right next to the highway and easy to go to the store without having other campsites on top of us.

What an awesome camping experience to camp at Brinnon Beach on Hood Canal. We loved the beach shell decorations and drift wood garden at the camp. There was a tetherball for my children and covered area to enjoy the view of the beach day and night. Solar lights lit up camp areas and bathroom with a sink. We were able to bring little kayaks for the children. We also explored the private beach that is next to the National Park campground. There was so much wildlife to see: harbor seals, an otter, osprey, cranes, gulls, eagles, and chipmunks. We picked a couple huckleberries and plump blackberries from the many wild bushes for pancakes. The best part about it was electricity (yeah, french press) and running water. We hiked the beautiful Mt. Walker and explored a nearby waterfall and pool. It was a relaxing, quiet, and memorable experience. We only wish we had stayed longer. You will love staying at this campground.

I stayed at the Brinnon property and it was better than described. We had an awesome view, privacy and even a common area to watch the eagles fly back and forth in front of the campsite. The only bummer was the burn ban as it would have been a perfect night for a fire. They even provide wood and farm fresh eggs for breakfast onsite if needed. The porta-potty was new and clean with a fresh water sink outside, potable water was available onsite as well. Couldn't have asked for more. As for the "Freeway sounds" on another review yes, you are close to Highway 101 but the road sounds are not invasive and subside as the evening progresses. I would definitely go back again.

The place was solid and was perfect for our one night in a small camper van. The beach was great for our kids to explore, just noting the walk down is steep so younger kids just need a hand holding I'm sure. It would likely be a small camp if the other sites were filled (there are 3), but we were fortunate to have it all to ourselves.

The host was nice enough, and they did have running water/a porta potty, but the $80/night price tag of this listing was definitely not worth the location of this campsite. When we booked it, on the hipcamp website the site we chose looked like it was ON the beach, next to the water, away from other campsites. and when we arrived we were just on a gravel patch next to a road next to all the other sites. There is a major road right behind the property and we could hear traffic all night which is less than an ideal camping experience.. sorry but we wouldn’t have booked it if we knew it was so close to the main road. Just wish that part was a bit more transparent, or the pricing wasn’t so high and I wouldn’t fee quite as let down :(
