Grouseland's Private Campsites are located on top of our ridge offering a unique scenic overlook and a near virgin sky perfect for stargazing. We have 4 sites ready for you here at Grouseland! Please read their descriptions and book the one best for you! We encourage guests to bring dogs, however dogs must be kept on leads when on site or on leashes when on walks. There are no exceptions to this rule to ensure the safety of all of our guests. All sites include an allotted amount of free firewood, miles of hiking trails, and use of communal facilities including a hot shower and flush toilet. Tall Oaks Campsite: A small private site and is our only rustic style site, so no water or electricity, designed maximum 6 people with parking for 3 cars on site and space for 4 average size tents. This site has a picnic table, portable toilet, scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, a bench and charcoal grill. Twisted Oak Campsite: A medium-sized luxury private site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for maximum 8 guests with parking for 4 cars on site and has space for several tents. This site has a picnic table, portable toilet, scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, charcoal grill, and on-site string lights. Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This site can handle several tents and has two picnic tables, two portable toilets, a scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, a charcoal grill, and on-site string lights. Aspen RV Campsite: A medium private luxury drive through site great for RVs, rooftop tents, pop ups or camper vans. This site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed with water and electric hookups for a single camping vehicle, maximum 6 people. This site is a drive through site, so guests don’t have to back in or out. This site also has a picnic table, portable toilet, scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, charcoal grill, and a bench.

Grouseland's Vacation Cottage

Our cottage is set back about a quarter mile from the road (all back roads here so minimal traffic noise), in nestled next to the pond in the middle of the woods. Guests staying at our vacation cottage are able to enjoy a furnished bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and dining/lounging space. As well as exclusive access to the pond (no fishing), dock, hot tub, fire pit, and large deck with a grill! Both rooms in the cottage are complete with a Fire TV logged into many of our streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime, Max, Disney+ and Hulu. To top it all off we are solar powered! Staying with us you are as close to the off grid as you can get without giving up the internet! Campsites are on the other side of the property from the cottage and campers are told that the cottage and pond are off limits and to respect your privacy. There are blinds on the windows to allow for complete privacy while in the cottage. We do live on property and occasionally drive past the cottage to get around, we try to keep this to a minimum and use quiet golf carts when possible.

We had a great stay at Red Maple Campsite! The site was incredibly spacious, private, and very well set up for our pop-up camper. The little details really made the site feel special — string lights, benches around the fire pit, hammock, scenic overlook, charcoal grill, and multiple picnic tables made it feel cozy while still being roomy. Having potable water and electricity onsite was also a huge plus and made camping much more convenient. We brought our dog, and the space was perfect for him to roam and relax safely. The peaceful, secluded setting made it such a relaxing getaway for both us and our pup. Mason was very helpful and communicative throughout our stay, and it’s clear a lot of thought went into creating the campsite. Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend for groups, campers, or anyone looking for a comfortable and private camping experience!

We are so thankful for our experience at Grouseland Hospitality! The host was incredibly helpful in guiding us to the campsite and made us feel welcome from the start. The views were incredible, and the site was exactly as described, with both electric and water hookups available. There was plenty of room for our tent and our dogs to enjoy the space comfortably. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Grouseland Hospitality to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained campsite with beautiful scenery.

We were a large group and everyone loved the Red Maple Site. Sunset was amazing. Site has all basic amenities needed. A full bath at store was very useful. Mason responding quickly helped us jump starting one of car. This site is private and amazing star gazing views when the time is right

Great experience overall. Mason was an excellent host, friendly and welcoming. Our site couldn't have been better and the view was amazing. Although we didn't need it, was nice touch to have a water hose and electrical chord available to use. We had an issue one evening with very loud music coming from site next to use. I sent a message to Mason and he had it resolved within 30 minutes. If you enjoy peace, serenity, and an amazing view then Grouseland is for you. We'll definitely be back!

Our campsite was great and had everything we needed and wanted. A picnic table, bench, charcoal grill, fire pit, and hammock. Wonderful details that made us feel at home. Mason was helpful and great at communication and we even got to know Murray and Jane a little bit when they welcomed us to their home to take shelter at when a storm came through. The property is well maintained and easy to navigate. Highly recommend!

Seriously, that camping trip was something else. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and there were so many trails to hike. Plus, provided firewood to burn was a major bonus. I'm already dreaming about going back. It was truly one of the best outdoor adventures I've ever had.

We had a great time at the Tall Oak rustic site. Easy to find and Mason met us at the entrance and led us to the site. There was enough wood to last us through two cold nights. The view was great into the valley. There were also some easy walking trails on the grounds and it was nice to explore to take a break from sitting around the fire. I'd definitely book again.

I was looking to camp originally in or near a state park by Bedford. While the campsites I found were adequate with decent amenities, I was stunned by the photos of the Tall Oaks site. I booked and paid for two days to meet the minimum booking period, but could only stay for one. Mason was very patient and a great host. He met us at the entrance of the campsite and lead us to our area with a brief explanation of everything. The house rules were clear and did not make us feel restrained. The campsite had a great view and no one else around that day. The firewood burned easily. I heard a cascade of animal sounds I hadn't heard before at night. A very enjoyable experience. There is a network of small trails onsite and a small outdoor games area with a very charming tree house. In the morning we used the bathroom beside the clubhouse near the entrance off the highway. The bathroom had a large shower, a cool skylight, and information about mountain biking and other amenities Grouseland offers. Outside were some cute goats looking at us as we left. Great stay, would recommend and stay again. Thanks so much Mason.

I enjoyed the Twisted Oak site. The view was so serene. I couldn't stop looking at it! Very quiet place, clean, beautiful and a touch of whimsy. Perfect for families and also fun for group and solo camping. Several cool spots and trails on the grounds. Bathroom is heated and clean. I see myself returning again in the future. The directions were clear and the host was very friendly.

The view from this site was astonishing. We had a really nice picnic table and the best fire ring I've ever had at a campsite. The site was huge and the trails were a lot of fun to hike. There was a little water issue when we got there ands it was repaired immediately. I can't recommend this one enough!

Masons’ land was 12/10. Seriously. The view is incredible, the sun sets right over the mountain you’re staring at in the photos. There is always a nice breeze it seems. Just beautiful setting. It is also quiet. Down below where your staying there is a road where will hear some traffic but it doesn’t bother you really. The accommodations are great. Mason has some firewood for us, there are string lights in the trees and your own private porta potty is a nice touch. The water and electric is awesome for the site. And the water out of the spigot is delicious well water. Reminds me of growing up. I’m sure I could keep going on and on. Oh also the camp shower and bathroom is awesome have and a short walk! Mason greeted us and is a very nice host. We will stay here again.

Beautiful remote camp site. Perfect for nature lovers who want to explore and hike local state parks or just to relax and enjoy an awesome view. Mason, the host, was very attentive. Wish we could have stayed longer but having a travel trailer camper with no dump facilities limited us to a three night stay. We were glad there were port-a-potties at each site and one flush toilet as well as a shower on the camp ground. We were were lucky enough to not only hear but to see whippoorwills near our camp site. The star gazing at night was amazing.

The view of this site is incredible! Mason greeted us upon arrival and personally drove us to our spot, which was helpful. He also provided us with a map of the property. He is very communicative and helpful! Would highly recommend!

Second time staying and it did not disappoint! The space is incredibly private and the views are stunning. There are little “Easter eggs” around the property that make exploring that much more fun. Looking for add to our next stay!

Very pretty and more private than most sites! Be careful of the wind though, since it's on the crest of a hill the wind can get strong enough to flatten a tent if you're not careful. Overall very fun experience!
