Our spacious campsite on a private 10-acre property offers unparalleled stargazing, where you can witness a breathtaking celestial display and perhaps even catch a glimpse of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) that have made this area famous. Twickenham is a hotspot for UAP sightings, with visitors frequently reporting glowing orbs and pulsating lights. Wheeler County was recently highlighted in Investigation Alien, a Netflix documentary led by George Knapp. Your campsite features a large (8,775 sq ft), level area perfect for your RV, camper, or tents, with stunning views of the rimrocks and surrounding valley. Enjoy comfortable amenities, including a Villa Separett composting toilet and a solar and wind-powered, off-grid bathroom with a foot-pump sink. Relax in our 10’ x 12’ vegetated pergola lounge, complete with a four-person dining table, two-person love seat, and two chairs. We offer supplemental electricity via a solar and wind turbine generator. A power strip with three AC outlets and two USB ports is available at the lounge. WiFi is available at the lounge, campsite, and parking area. Water is available via an outdoor hose upon request (50-gallon daily limit). Leashed dogs are welcome (we have cats roaming the property). Our campsite area is lightly covered with grass clippings for weed control and dust reduction. Please wear shoes to avoid the occasional goat head weed. The property features a 6,120 sq ft fenced garden and lavender crop – fresh produce and lavender are available seasonally.
