Welcome to our serene campsite nestled beside the picturesque Wolf Creek! Set amidst a wooded backdrop, our one and only campsite offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. As you arrive, you'll be greeted by the tranquil sounds of the creek and the lush greenery of the surrounding woods. Our campsite features hiking trails that wind through the farm, inviting you to explore the beauty of the countryside at your own pace. For your comfort and convenience, we provide amenities such as an outdoor shower, fire pit, picnic table, and outhouse with a sink. Whether you're roasting marshmallows around the fire or enjoying a picnic by the creek, our campsite offers the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Medium-sized campers are welcome to park on our gravel driveway, but please note that large campers may have difficulty with accessibility due to the incline. However, we assure you that the tranquil setting and natural beauty of our farm make it well worth the visit. Our small hobby farm adds to the charm of your stay, with friendly cows, potbellied pigs, turkeys, and a thriving garden to explore. Feel free to bring along your furry friends, as long as they are friendly with our animals. Located across from Sycamore State Park, our campsite provides easy access to hiking trails and fishing ponds, allowing you to further immerse yourself in nature's wonders. And with downtown Dayton just a short 30-minute drive away, you'll have the best of both worlds – the tranquility of the countryside and the excitement of the city. We invite you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience the beauty of nature at our charming campsite along Wolf Creek. We look forward to hosting you soon!The site sits along Wolf Creek on the edge of a hay field. The property is across the street from a white German Baptist church. There is a yellow house with 3 mailboxes. Turn into that driveway and follow the lane straight until you come to a 2-story brick farmhouse. If we are not there to greet you, you will be making a reverse S -shaped drive. You will continue to drive to the front of the barn. From here, continue straight along the tree line until you come to a curve that goes to the left. Follow it to another curve that leads you to a rectangular red stone. The campsite is here. There is only one site on the property to camp at. If you use wood at the campsite, there is a $10/night fee. Farm fresh eggs may be available for $4/dozen. A Venmo code is available in the outhouse. Great private campsite

This was a well kept private campsite. We loved seeing the animals at the hobby farm and really enjoyed the stream next to the sight. The pit toilet was convenient and clean. We had some trouble starting the fire because of days of rain, so the firewood was damp. The host brought us some dry kinding and we were able to run to nearby gas station to secure some dry bundles. The host also made some yummy cookies we were able to enjoy. Definitely would come again.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. First, the hosts are wonderful. Was greeted with a sweet treat, and treated very kindly. The spot is perfect. It’s right next to a gorgeous creek and sleeping next to it was phenomenal. It has a surprisingly nice outhouse with water and soap to wash hands. It was very nice to not have to stress about hauling in wood. We will absolutely go back! Don’t think about it, BOOK IT!!

Peaceful Retreat

This was a cozy spot by the creek. Really enjoyed being able to hear it all night. The outhouse is nice and not far from the tent site. Felt very private. Would come back.

We loved camping here. Our new favorite spot. The owners were incredibly kind and went above and beyond on the amenities! We were greeted with cookies (for us and our pup!)--what a start! Those cookies are HEAVEN. Firewood was available, the outhouse was clean (they even provide reading material!). The spot was secluded and the creek babbling in the background was soo relaxing. The farm animals were sweet and didn't mind us visiting everyday with our dog. They provided trash/recycling bins, an excellent cooktop and a well-thought out space to set up camp! We even had trees to hammock in and the grass was cut around the field so we had a wonderful walking path. The turkeys were a hoot to listen to! 😆 We will absolutely be back and feel so lucky to have found this place!

Vaughn's got a great space. After camping with a group the last couple of trips, I was looking to camp solo and this was a good creekside spot that fit that mood. While I was a lone camper, this spot works for a small group as well, with the benefit of a nice outhouse. Which the sound of the creek will have you visit a few times. Overall, a fantastic spot where you can get a nice mix of farm and nature, and to take a break from the world beyond the creek.

A very peaceful retreat.

Its a great spot. The host was very friendly but not intrusive. He welcomed us and gave us some cookies shortly after we had gotten all set up. It's secluded and the actual campsite is tucked away in the woods by a creek. There was a very friendly turkey who came to visit us multiple times. We also got to see the cows up close. There was also a rooster who would wake us up every morning, but he was far enough away to not be too loud. Lots of ducks, cranes, and bats at night. It rained a lot while we were there which we found quite peaceful. Perfect getaway for us, completely recommend this site.

Best Spot on HipCamp

This was our second time at Land of Milk and Honey, the experience was as great as the first time. We love how secluded this place feels so when we need to get out of the city, it is the perfect spot. Bathroom is one of best I've seen at the dozen or so Hip camps I have stayed at. There is also a very impressive outdoor cooking setup so if you don't have your own this is a big win for you. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating, we were even greeted with some AWESOME homemade cookies and treats for the dogs. My dog Tippy buried hers near the wood pile so we're all very excited to go back soon.

This site is absolutely beautiful; just what our family needed! The owner and his daughter were a delight, and the fresh eggs tasted wonderful! The kiddos had a blast walking the trails and seeing the cows/chickens/turkeys. The views are that of a painting. Absolute perfection.

We had an amazing time camping here, definitely one of our favorite HipCamp sites so far! Vaughn’s entire property is beautiful and the camp site is set back behind a hay field along a little creek, very scenic and secluded. Vaughn and his wife were incredibly gracious hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The site was well appointed with firewood, a newly installed propane stove, wash sink and a clean outhouse. I would highly recommend this site for anyone looking for an exceptionally beautiful, well maintained and secluded camping spot!

Great, friendly host family, my dog and I both got treats haha. My dog got to play with another Vizsla which was very cool. Lots of interesting animals, pigs, peacocks, and of course, the highland cow was a treat to see in person. The site was pretty private and safe, across the field from the barn and into the woods right next to the creek. Not too far from town or the I-70.

Best Choice for My First Solo

First my apologies, I thought I sent this. I had an amazing experience for my first solo camping trip. Being near waters always is an enlighten experience. Vaughn and family were very accommodating, very communicative when I had questions. The site was 🤌🏾, secluded, quiet(enough to embrace the sounds of Nature), and the Sun thru the trees made this an ideal space for camping. They did a great job choosing it. Compost toilet and dish/hand washing station not far at all. I would totally recommend and return, if they'd have me. Thank you all so so very much.

We booked this trip not knowing much about the area or site. It was wonderful. The host greeted us and gave us a tour of our site. It’s super private away from other people. There is a farm with animals on it. You can go check them out. Some animals may be your alarm clock haha. However, the place was beautiful. Would recommend going! Will be going back!

Absolutely gorgeous site. Tucked away, quiet, and peaceful. I was lullabied to sleep by the sounds of the creek. The Hosts were so welcoming and hospitable! I felt private and all to myself, but took comfort in knowing they were always available if I needed anything. I can't wait to show more people this site!

Lovely private spot across an open field next to the woods. Camped next to short trail to a stream side fire and picnic area. Neat new out house and wash-up close by - cross the field for an outside solar shower. Animals doing their thing on site:) Close to Dayton and lots of activities!
