Nice Even On A Cold, Rainy Weekend
What a great place to camp. It's the most organized and thoughtful campsite I've used. Not to mention being alongside your own, private creek.
The cabin was very comfy, with wood stove heat, and well laid out for its size. They even offer battery-charging power banks for your phones and other devices.
The camp kitchen was full of pots, glasses, cutting knives, trash and recycling cans, and a very powerful camp stove — all under a rainproof awning. It even had two french presses, which I never expect to have.
The campfire was well laid out, and if it hadn't rained and snowed (early April), we probably would have played the cornhole or other outdoor games provided.
Even the bathroom was charming, especially for an outhouse. I didn't realize it also had a shower.
Lake Minnewaska (good for scenic hikes along cliff trails above the water, plus a waterfall) is about a 15 minute drive with views along the way up the mountain.
Also enjoyed the local microbewery (and its comfy couch near a fireplace), Rough Cut Brewing.
Highly recommend, and hope to return!
