Welcome to our secluded mountain meadow retreat, where the beauty of nature unfolds in every direction. Located just minutes from the majestic Vernooy Falls and surrounded by the serene expanse of Sundown Wild Forest, our campsite offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you arrive, you'll be greeted by a canvas tent perched on a sturdy wooden deck, providing a cozy sanctuary for your mountain getaway. Inside, a full-sized bed invites you to sink into comfort after a day of adventure, while two Adirondack chairs offer the perfect spot to relax and soak in the panoramic views. Take advantage of our thoughtful amenities, including a picnic table for outdoor dining, ample water for drinking and washing dishes, and a firepit where you can gather 'round for marshmallow roasts and stargazing sessions. A toilet tent ensures privacy and convenience, while an outdoor shower allows you to refresh under the open sky. While we encourage you to bring your own linens for added comfort, we also offer additional amenities for your convenience, including a camp stove, pots and pans, and firewood available for purchase. Embark on hiking adventures through the surrounding wilderness, marveling at cascading waterfalls and lush greenery at Vernooy Falls. Or simply unwind in the tranquility of our mountain meadow, where the only soundtrack is the gentle rustle of leaves and the chirping of birds. I loved the tent camping on Jon's lands! The meadow the tent was overlooking was beautiful. The site truly felt secluded and private. The recommended hike nearby was easy to find and worth it for the series of waterfalls at the end. Jon was very helpful and shared many great tips about the surrounding area. Definitely would go again!

Jon is an A plus host - the camp site is immaculate and so tranquil. We loved sitting in the meadow by the fire and watching the bats fly around.

A little piece of heaven on Earth! Jon’s site is the perfect paradise escape for anyone wanting to feel isolated in true nature. The tent structure and bed are super comfy, the outhouse tent is clean and easy to use, and the fire pit is a luxury. We didn’t get to use the outdoor shower since it was a bit cold for it, but I can see myself enjoying it in warmer days! Jon’s attentiveness and hospitality are top notch, we had no issues whatsoever and it was a breeze of a weekend! Greatful to stumble upon this beautiful land.

This was a really lovely camp site. It is very private and the meadow leads to perfect view of sky. A lot of care is given to the set up of the grounds. Tent was comfy and the host was very nice and helpful. I highly suggest this campsite.

Love the meadow and the camp. This was our fourth trip to the camp and we always have a great time. Jon left everything ready and was responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Small Forest Meadow All to Yourself

Jon's campsite was perfect for our weekend escape! Waking up to the small meadow right outside the tent, enjoying morning coffee on the camp stove, knitting by the campfire, fire-grilled burgers for dinner, just to name a few of highlights of our trip. Also, this site is a peaceful secluded retreat that is perfect for popping the question! 😉💍 Though we didn't need anything other than what Jon provided, Jon made sure he was only a message away if something was up. The bed was super comfy, the tent is enormous, the picnic area is super close, and your car is right there. We were nice and dry as we woke up to soaking rains on our last day. Worst part of the weekend: driving away from camp to head home. 100% will be looking to stay here again!

We loved the feeling of having a whole meadow to ourselves. The area is well maintained and it was so nice to be able to everything ready when we got there. No set up! The actual tent is great and keeps you dry! We had a little rain in the morning and it was super comfortable and cozy. There is a nice little cooking area all set up along with a fire pit to relax at. The Adirondack chairs are also a nice touch and comfortable to sit on and look out at the meadow. Seriously great if you want to have a nice weekend out in the woods without having a ton of campers around. Jon had awesome instructions and gave us everything we needed to enjoy our time. Definitely recommend checking this spot out!
