Convenient but noisy
29 ft Class A · With pets · Fairly new hip camp, only a few reviews & they all said it was lovely and serene so we took a chance for a one night stay as we wanted to go to Quinns Hot Springs that's just 7 min away. The location for that couldn't be beat. Price was great for full hookups & the valley views were really pretty. This is definitely a "no frills" site as one other review said. It's a lot right on the main highway & rail road tracks right across the road as well. If you don't sleep well with traffic, semi truck Jake brakes, train whistles & train rumbling then might suggest to find another spot. Think we got about maybe 4 hours of fairly quiet time, midnight to 4am then trains & traffic were right back at it. Unfortunately, its a very noisy spot. When we pulled in there were some guys working on a truck in the back corner. No biggie, but then they got the truck started & it was spewing black smoke from the exhaust, right to our rv. It got so bad I was starting to get dizzy as the whole rv smelled like exhaust. I finally reached out to Darin who immediately responded he was sorry & would be right down, which he was and took care of the situation. Took about 30 min to air out the rv. Very random situation, not something anyone else will encounter, but not a great start.
The lot had another defunct trailer that wasn't in photos, the truck and a green shipping container. The other rv blocked the view of the valley. Overall wasn't a bad spot for a quick stop but be prepared for noise
