VanGoBoon Campground

19 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents5 acres · Bozeman, MT
Welcome to our campground! We are a "Roadside" Campground that offers the convince of easy on/off access to Hwy 90 and the close proximity to Bozeman. We are adjacent to Hwy 90 and the Montana Rail System. We have a variety of options that should suit just about anyone. We are near Yellowstone National Park as well as Bozeman, MT which offers all types of recreational opportunities e.g. hiking, fishing, climbing, skiing, cycling and running trails. VanGoBoon is the perfect "Pull-in for the Night" as well as week-long stays! Most of our sites are SELF-CONTAINED. We have 4 sites that have electric and water hookups. (20,30,50amp) The lawn area has horseshoes, frisbee golf, and corn toss. We mostly offer dry campsites for overnight stays for vans, tents or RVs . Most sites are on concrete slabs so they are level and the property has grass areas with trees as well. FYI: Great site if you like trains! An important part of Montana’s commerce is transportation by rail so there will be highway and train noise. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to have noise-cancelation devices handy. Private spots between trees but near freeway for easy access. Our 2 horses have been a favorite with young campers along with the open yet private campsites! We look forward to welcoming you!

Miner Creek Campgrounds & Camper

6 sites · RVs, Tents60 acres · Wineglass, MT
Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove on the creek. Across the driveway nestled in the willows you'll find a vintage camper in a private setting near the creek. Further down the gravel driveway you'll find one last campground that is tucked way back in a secluded cottonwood grove. The campgrounds and camper are just 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. The Miner Creek Campground 1 has a picnic table, fire ring (bring your own firewood), two hammocks, solar lighting, a small portable charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) and an outhouse. The vintage camper (about 40 yards away but out of sight) has running water, a 4 burner cooktop, outdoor seating, table, solar lighting, small outdoor grill and fire pit (bring your own charcoal and firewood) and an indoor toilet and shower. The parking areas of the two independent sites are across from one another but the camping sites themselves are out of view from one another. Although you can car camp at the Campground 1, please note that the camper parking spot is just off the driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. The "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite, is just that! It's a 1-2 minute hike from the parking spot on an uneven trail through the trees. It has a fire ring (bring your own firewood), two camp chairs, solar lighting, a small portable grill (bring your own charcoal) and a small portalet. Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready, to explore and do not need to be close by your car. Make sure you arrive before dark because although the trail is lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way through the trees. The trail is tight and uneven and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in the "Creekside Oasis" campsite. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. For all sites we recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight.

Jardine itself is a historic mining town, with several trail-heads nearby. Mountain biking can be enjoyed on the many dirty roads above Jardine.

The best camping near Chico Hot Springs guide

Overview

About

Just 30 miles north of the famous Yellowstone National Park lies an ancient hot spring that has transformed drastically over the centuries. Originally a Native American healing bath this spring has transformed over the years and was even used to "cure kidney disease" in the earlier 20th century. Nowadays, the beautiful Chico Hot Springs Resort & Spa welcomes all visitors and while the soothing waters may not cure disease they will surely relax your body and ease your mind.

When to go

The ideal time to visit Chico Hot Springs is during the spring and fall months, when the weather is mild and the natural beauty of the area is at its peak. Summer brings warmth and an abundance of activities, but also larger crowds. Winter offers a quiet, snow-covered landscape, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and enjoy the hot springs amid a winter wonderland.

Know before you go

  • Check the weather forecast before your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Be mindful of the natural habitat and adhere to all posted safety guidelines.
  • Accessibility varies across the park, so inquire ahead if you require special accommodations.
  • Facilities are available, but it's wise to bring essential supplies as some areas are remote.
  • Remember to pack out your trash and leave the springs as pristine as you found them.
