Absolutely beautiful location! 100% would camp here again! Kathy is a delightful host with great communication and a 'mint on pillow' personal touch.

Great clean site , Kathy was a great person to meet . Thanks to her and her husband Randy they made the stay there so much more enjoyable for my little brother . Will definitely be coming back in the summer with him again . Not just for the camping but to meet these wonderful people again as well.

I loved van camping excellent lighting made it easy to setup when I visited even during a late arrival. Sites clearly marked, nice fire pits, river so close you could toss a rock and hit the other side.

Great spot! Site #1 and #2 are connected via a gravel drive and visible to each other. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves — great spot! Kathy and Randy were very welcoming and communication was easy. The gravel space kept bugs minimal and our dogs loved the river access. We brought tubes and floated all afternoon. We’ll be back!

A great oasis in the UP. Wonderfully private, with a great tent spot. Rent the Kayaks because cruising up and down the little river was a highlight. Keep your eyes peeled for the beavers! Very convenient location to many fun adventures in the area. Definitely on my favorites list to stay again.

My 3 friends and I, plus the two dogs had such a fun weekend staying at this camp! We had the place to ourselves and so the dogs enjoyed getting to explore the area while still being in sight. The river was very calm, refreshing and about waist deep during our stay. It was perfect for cooling off during the hot afternoons. Kathy also installed solar powered lights all around the trees in camp and WOW it made camp so pretty at night. We barely needed to use flashlights, but we had no problems seeing the stars either! During our stay we stopped at the nearby Island Resort (10min away) to try our luck at the Casino. To my boyfriend’s surprise, Sweetgrass a breathtaking Championship golf course and Sage Run were both under 10 minutes away from camp!
Kathy and Randy were very responsive, kind and did a great job making this camp feel like you’re in your own secluded, scenic backyard away from home. Already planning my next visit to this campsite!!

A private little(not so little) chunk of land in the UP. The site is large and clean. The water was a little low during our stay but we were able to do a little kayaking both directions. My wife appreciated the clean porto-potty. There were only two of us, but this would be the perfect site for a few campers and a bunch of friends and family. Kathy was awesome. She was very attentive and can be plenty of help if needed. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

This property is in the perfect location to serve as a home base while you explore the UP. It is well maintained, nicely tucked away and private. Also, it has a good balance of mature and younger trees that lets great breezes through camp. That coupled with the river definitely makes this a charming option. It is perfect for families looking for a location where their dogs can run and play unencumbered. At night the stars are endless and the hammock makes for a perfect spot to look up with a beverage in hand and enjoy. Kathy and Randy were responsive, informative and welcoming, checking in frequently before and during our stay. When we came back to camp at night it truly felt like coming home.

the privacy and river access is unmatched. the area was very well maintained and spacious. i highly recommend taking advantage of the fishing kayaks available for rental. kathy was super friendly and inviting. we checked out Piers Gorge in Norway (20 mins away) and it was breathtaking. the wilson’s cafe about 5 mins from the site was a great spot for breakfast! 10/10 all around.

My wife son and I loved camping here, it was right next to a beautiful stream that was great to have fires right next to in the big fire pit. There was also lots of good areas for tenting or trailering. Having a lot all to our selves with no meat by campers or roads was so relaxing and peaceful.

We loved this hipcamp. It was our first time using hipcamp and Kathy set the bar high! Our dog loved the river, we couldn't keep him out. The spot was spacious, private, extremely clean and well cared for. The host were the kindest people and showed us around the town, gave us great tips on day trips, the history of the hipcamp, etc. The Porta jon on site was extremely clean and a path is lit for nighttime use. Our first campfire was ready on our arrival, Kathy sure knows how to make a great fire all we had to do was light it. You can hear some light traffic on the main road but that didn't bother us. It was the perfect little weekend getaway.

Everything is perfect here. We’re already planning our return trip! Kathy is wonderful, provided hiking recommendations nearby, and had generous wood bundles waiting for us upon arrival. We use Hipcamp every chance we can and have deemed this our favorite stay yet!

This was a great stop for me on my way up to the upper peninsula! The host Kathy greeted me and was so friendly. I found the place easily off the highway and you drive straight past all the main buildings until you see the big river front sign out back. The site is well paved with gravel and very clean! So much space for campers and cars. All the amenities needed were there such as wood for fire(already prepped for me before arrival) picnic table, benches, hammock, an outhouse that was clean. Kathy brought a couple of kayak options which was great, I took the kayak out in the morning and saw some otters! Nice easy paddle and beautiful. I had some cell reception, you are a close drive to a grocery store and though you are close by the highway to hear the road noise this didn’t deter me. This was a perfect place for me to pitstop as a solo female traveler just passing through town. Kathy made me feel comfortable about the safety of the property and was great and quick with communication. The view of the river was great and a bonus to kayak! Thanks for a great stay!

Lots of room on the site to have plenty of vehicles and tents or rvs. Spots with shade spots with sun little bit of grass area for yard games. The river was nice. Bugs weren’t too bad. Couldn’t hear any neighbors and probably could be as loud as you wanted without getting yelled lol. Was really good if you needed to get in touch or just left you alone.

We loved that the camp is secluded. The host was on top of all questions and anything we needed. She had a nice fire going for us upon our arrival. Her husband showed my husband around the campsite which was very nice the river was right beside us. If you need a quiet peaceful place to relax this is the one.

This was the perfect little campsite for our overnight. The stream was adorable. The fire Kathy had going was perfect. It was secluded and exactly what we needed. We've stayed at other campsites where the wood alone would have cost us $40. Well worth the cost!

The camp area was great! Very accessible to the highway but still feels secluded and private. The picnic tables were great and the ground is flat with plenty of room to park or pitch a tent!

Neat little hidden spot, although I could here traffic (from near-by bridge construction) it was a great relaxing spot along the lazy river. Host were very friendly and helpful.

Kathy is a gracious host- coordinating arrive times - working with us when arrival time changed - meeting/leading us through her property - and having a good fire already going !
Her vision for the campground was excellent. The river view is great - saw shooting stars - enjoyed cup of coffe and watching morning dew and river burn-off.
While it’s not a connected site, this is is not a boondock situation. The ground work is legit. Graded - level - crushed rock - clean - with new picnic tables benches, fire-ring, and hammock. Plenty of space.
So, if you are headed north or doing a lake circle. Stop and stay with Kathy. Our stay was short this time. Hope to do it again someday.

I was concerned about bugs, being riverside, but miraculously there were none!
Besides having it to ourselves, my favorite thing was that the site had partial sun until sunset and first thing in the morning - perfect!!

This campsite was perfect! Kathy and her husband had a fire set for us when we got there and were the sweetest most kind people. The campsite was immaculate and quiet. We used the site for one night and car camped. Would absolutely return. If you planned an impromptu camping trip and need a cute quiet place to stay, I highly recommend this site.

Kathy was great! She met us and brought us right to the spot even though we didn’t get in until later.
This was the perfect spot to camp for us. Plenty of room and no one else around. Being on a river is a plus.

Great place ON the river!! We we all alone .... Nice! Wonderful Hosts and great firewood!! .... This was our very first camping experience. So we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming back again next year ❤️✌️
