Private Pembine Tent Camping
Overgrown and tick infested
The host was nice and friendly and gave directions to local attractions. Unfortunately, I only lasted one hour at this site before finding somewhere else to stay. The photos show short cropped grass at the campsites but when I arrived there was knee height grass with more ticks than I have ever encountered before. Within minutes of arriving I was pulling ticks off of myself and my dogs. Even the sign to the site was concealed by the long grass, taking me about 20 minutes to find the overgrown atv trail leading to it that my Buick barely made it up. There's also a house right next door (practically sharing a driveway) that you drive past to get to the site, making it misleading to say the site is remote. The forest is so dense that it would have been nearly impossible to explore and most of it is steep ravines that would be difficult to walk down. I would only recommend this site to the most extreme campers that don't mind spending the duration of their stay pulling off ticks or don't plan on spending any time outside of a tent while there.

Private Pembine Tent Camping
It was the most perfect secluded site tucked away in the woods! Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for something private and away from people. Beautiful site and plenty of woods to roam around. There’s also a good handful of waterfalls just a few minutes down the road. Can’t wait to go back!

Fun Secluded Spot
Smack dab in the middle of the woods, this site is as North Woodsy as it gets. Joelle gave clear directions for how to get there and left signs for us to find the spot. You park deep into the property and walk about 150 yards to reach the campsite. There’s a picnic table and a fire ring with a tripod cooking grate. We were able to set up a 7 person tent comfortably and slept with a thin sleeping pad just fine. There are numerous waterfalls to see in the area and tons of fishing, whitewater rafting, and other water activities. Bugs were not bad during the day but definitely bring some spray for night time. I definitely recommend this secluded spot!
