I loved tent camping at Beth's! The land was so beautiful, the directions were spot on and she thought of everything! There was a fire ring I was able to use as well as a led to pull wood. It was such perfect solitude and truly serene. 10/10 recommend!

Overall had a good experience! Very quiet & peaceful, wide open land, the woods was difficult to find any trails to set up camp. It was pretty wet as expected but there were areas of dry land! Lots of birds and full of nature! Very nice fire pit & portable fire pits!

Super simple directions. Wide open land. We had to fight of the raindrops, but there were a couple dry”er” spots available. Saw a handful and sandhill cranes, deer and turkeys!

20 ft pop-up camper
Everything was beautiful, large open fields with paths mowed in roughly so you know just where to go. I was gone most of the day, but I did see a very nice fire circle with seating and a couple of nice places to camp were available. I had just a truck camper with me and my dogs, we were very happy there and I would absolutely come back if I were out that way.

We parked near a big fire pit and because the road our gps sent us on was closed I think we ended up in the wrong part of the property. Nevertheless it was a peaceful night and we would come back again!

I had such a wonderful time camping here. Beth was very quick to respond and helpful when I had a special request due to bike touring. Anyone who likes star gazing - STAY HERE. The view of the sky is incredible.

Only 45 minutes from my house, I have found my new place of solitude! This was my first solo camping trip, and not only did I feel completely safe and welcomed, I felt wild and free!! I literally wish I could have frolicked in the prairie in my birthday suit! Such a beautiful and secluded property. The option to be closed behind a gate provided an extra sense of security. It rained when I visited, and I didn’t get to explore as much as I wanted to. However, this was my first visit, but it won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to exploring next time when it’s a bit more dry. Was very appreciative of the wood available and the picnic tables. Also appreciate the kind host allowing me to extend my departure by 2 hours to enjoy their property a bit longer. Would recommend to anyone who just wants to get away and be free!

Beautiful property - exactly what we were hoping for relaxing seclusion with our dog. Weather turned on us and we forgot our cooler so we packed up early. Hoping to make it back out when the weather is nicer!

I loved Camp Wild and Free! The property is very open and it was perfect for our dog to wander around off-leash. He even chased a deer halfway up the property and I didn’t have to worry about him getting too close to the road (and thankfully his recall is excellent)! It’s a great place to just get away without much noise.
The only complaint (if you can call it that) is the sheer amount of ticks on the property, especially near the woods in the back corner of their lot, but that’s a problem everywhere in Michigan lately and for what we paid to stay here it’s not anything worth really putting a big stink up about. Just come prepared to handle them and you’ll be fine.
My last touch of advice when staying here: either bring a canopy tent to hang under or set up camp on the east side of some trees so you get some shade. The summer heat can really get you if you don’t have somewhere to escape the sun!

Beautiful grasslands surrounded by trees with great views of the sunrise/sunset. Not sure how many stars are visible. 10/10 what makes this spot worth it is all the songbirds you get to listen to all day! Woods in the back has a lot of decomposing logs/trees, wetlands and isn’t the easiest to hike or camp in

Great place to camp. Real quiet and rural, but close enough to town if you forget something. Beautiful piece of land, got to see butterflies, rabbits, and all types of birds.
Ground was dry enough to drive my car on without worry, but I wouldn't have made it if it was wet, so 4wd or an orv may be warranted.
I utilized a hammock, so didn't use the set up near the entrance, but it was nice to see the chairs and picnic tables around a good size fire pit. I would have set up there if I was using a tent.
All in all, I recommend it, and will be back in the future. About 20 minutes from home makes this the perfect spot for day trips, single nights, and weekend adventures.
