Turtleback Ridge is a collectively owned farmstead perched on one of the fine ridges of Robertson County Kentucky. With 100+ acres of woods, plus fields and gardens to explore there is plenty of intrigue for those interested in a relaxing retreat into nature. Home of Turtleback Ridge brewery that brews a wide variety of ales and ciders emphasizing the local terroir through the use of local fruits and foraged ingredients. The taproom of the brewery operates Fridays: 5-10 pm; Saturdays: noon-10 pm; Sundays: noon - 6pm . We close seasonally in early December and reopen in early March.Join us on the Turtleback Ridge Farmstead, a 200 acre collectively-owned farm boasting 100+ acres of woodlands, an ephemeral creek, holistically managed orchards and gardens, and Turtleback Ridge Brewery. The brewery is home to a quaint and cozy taproom with ample outdoor seating perfect for a quiet pint or a picnic in the woods. From March to December the farm/brewery hosts regular events including live music, star gazing, open mic nights, trivia and more. We strive to have regular food trucks hosted by local chefs on Saturdays. Pitch your tent surrounded by the woods and just a 2 minute walk from our on-farm brewery. Seating and a firepit located near the brewery. Just steps from your campsite there will be hiking/mountain bike trails allowing you to access the woodlands and creek. Plenty of flat areas for tents and campers but spots will be allotted on a first come first serve basis. Within just a couple miles of the farm you'll find Blue Licks State Park with hiking trails along the Middle Fork of the Licking River and even closer, you'll find historic Johnson Creek Covered Bridge. We look forward to welcoming you to the fine ridges of Robertson Co. Kentucky.

Enjoyed our time at Turtleback Ridge. Very convenient location to stay before races. Keegan is an excellent host and the Oatmeal Stout is excellent.

Second time around, just as good!
Tent
This was my second stay at Turtleback Ridge, and Keegan suggested a different spot—a little more private, scenic, and quiet as the first, and still an easy walk to the brewery. One might not think camping would lead to restful sleep the night before a bike race, but this site delivers. The hosts are incredibly helpful, gracious, and considerate. Oh, and they make some amazing beers that are worth the trip on their own. Even with the rainy weather, it was a peaceful, no-fuss place to settle in. I’ll definitely be back.

Rain or Shine, Turtleback Delivers

What’s not to love about camping just a short walk from an incredible brewery? Turtleback Ridge Farm is a fantastic host for the Kentucky Open Road Race Series, and I had the privilege of camping there the night before a race. Although the weather was dreary and the rain relentless, the property still offered a peaceful, spacious spot to pitch a tent and rest up undisturbed. I didn’t get to fully appreciate the farm’s beauty this time, but I’m already looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommend to anyone in search of a laid-back, convenient campsite in the area!
