Great spot to stop while on the road. Scott is friendly and accommodating…a good host. Water and electricity available if needed. The spot is quiet (there is a train that runs nearby but I couldn’t hear it when I was in my van) and you can relax and enjoy the setting. Downtown Cour D’alene is only about 15 minutes away and an easy drive.

Scott, the host, came out to meet us as soon as we drove in. He was flexible and let us change sites at the last minute. The camp was quiet, except for our generator, and very safe feeling. Scott was friendly and hospitable. We would definitely come back.

Scott was a great host, very responsive. The campsites were large. I camped in a tent for one night and would stop there again anytime.

Great price and it was available last minute for our trip to Silverwood. The bathroom situation was less than great, consisting of a portable camping toilet in a small privacy tent. Only a couple of the spots were marked with numbers, but we found the sites we booked. Overall we were pleased as it was tough finding openings and Scott didn't gouge folks on price like some other hipcamp hosts (charging extra for each additional camper). Quiet area, but still close to town and Silverwood. Would book again.

To the experienced campers, it is important to note the exclusions at this property. Do not expect the standard amenities you've come to expect from a proper campsite. First and foremost, though the listing does mention having a bathroom, it is important to note that the chemical toilet mentioned is a portable toilet like you might find in a small camper which is housed within the green pop-up tent pictured in the listing. If you have difficulty using a low toilet or are squeamish about "going" in a tiny tent, know this before booking. Our site (1) did not have any kind of table, though I noticed at least one of the other sites had a picnic table. We had a metal bench, so bring your own table if you're going to need a surface for cooking/eating. Access to water was through a hose located at the base of the flagpole. All that said, the location was very convenient for us as it was very close to Silverwood Theme park. Finding it was easy enough and the sites were well marked. Our site was a leveled pull-through driveway with a metal garden bench. Given the chance to do it all over again, I might have paid a little more or driven a little farther for a proper bathroom.

The camp ground worked well. We stayed 3 nights. Location is great for silverwood. Was difficult to find the water due to the host not being home. Also had to call him to find out where the toilet was because he hadnt put it out. We would stay again but plan our own toilet for sure

This was my first experience with Hipcamp and it was great. Scott was an awesome host. We were supposed to be having an office gathering at his site and he built new picnic tables and arranged a wonderful group area for us. Would definitely come back in the future!

I think anyone who has the pleasure of staying here would recommend for anyone else to stay here. And will be return campers! I know we sure will be! We stayed inside number one, and it was great! Plenty of room for the kids to run around and have fun and dig and walk through the front corner of his property. Scott was super kind and accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. He also took the kids to see his horse and let them go see him as much as they wanted. It was a great location, especially for us. Our destination one day was Honeysuckle beach at Hayden Lake, and the next day Farragut State Park. About 15 minutes to either place. And of course Silverwood is right down the road as well. Thank you Scott, we appreciate you welcoming us and everyone else to your property!

Very considerate hosts very accommodating.. piecful location is awesome.. A note for out of state campers to Idsho. State campgrounds have doubled in cost...Best alternative to rediculus high price high volume camp site's... research and have the best of it all that north Idaho has to offer... Highly recommend...I'll be back..Thanks Scott

Scotts spot is a quick jaunt down the road to Couer d'Alaine, the lakes, and some great mountain biking. We were Scotts first visitors, and is new spots didn't disappoint. The camp site we stayed on was in the front section of his property. Around us was some moderate tree coverage, a neat old windmill, and a metal fireplace. The spots are fairly spacious, with a tent toilet at our disposal. The morning of our departure, Scott brought us coffee and chatted for a while. He's an earnest, helpful host, and a good natured, friendly guy. We would definitely come back here on a future trip.
