This picturesque little cabin is a great place as base camp to explore the area. The host is kind. Be advised the driveway is steep and there is no wifi. The listing states that. If your goal is traveling; yes. Unfortunately my goal was to sit by a campfire by the creek with my dog. This listing is not conducive to that. The firepit is in the driveway and the beautiful creek is not near the house and is not easily accessible. So? My only true disappointment was the photo of the sink. There is no running water inside this listing. I made the best of it as I always do.

Eva was amazing place was well kept and clean. It camping in the woods with a roof. The firewood provided was definitely a plus. Even though cabin did not have any heat Eva provided a space heater which helped a lot.

Eve's cabin was lovely. It's a secluded spot next to the main house towards the end of a country dirt road. Firewood was provided as well as a small heater for the cold nights. Many folks seemed to hunt around here, so you may hear gunshots especially during hunting season. We did spend a good part of our day on the nearby Duncan Ridge Trail and explored the nearby town of Blue Ridge, GA. I definitely recommend!

My family and dog all liked the place. We stayed only two nights while we explored around Blue Ridge area. It was what I expected. These are not negatives, I'm just pointing out again some things people should know. It's really remote, away from main roads. The unit itself was clean. It was nothing fancy, it was just as described. The photos are accurate. It is not an insulated cabin. There is no stove. There is a sink but no running water in the unit. The bathroom/shower and running water is available really close by, in the basement level of the house next to the cabin. There is a small fridge where you can fit a few groceries. The last 1/2 mile of road was rough gravel and bumpy for my Honda Accord. The car tires spun just a little going up the steep gravel driveway but we made it without issue. If my car made it, yours should too as long as the weather is reasonable. We appreciated the little extras included - a small electric heater, box fan, map, board games, insect repellent (we used on a wasp), and a coffee percolator pot (didn't use - I brought instant coffee and my own stove). John, who we met at the property was nice and explained everything to us. It is about 20 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge. Coming in at night for first night is not recommended. It's really dark. The only thing we would recommend is they add some curtains/blinds over the windows. Even though you're so remote, feeling the privacy of covered windows at night would be nice.

The cabin pretty private. Host very friendly. The detail to know before camp at there very clear. We had shot trip. Shower and restroom at the host house which clean and nice. No trash can you will need to take the trash out with you.

The Forest Retreat is a well-kept, quaint cabin. My family and I enjoyed our stay and were thankful to have access to a fridge right in our room. Our host, Jon, provided helpful information to us regarding restaurants and hiking trails. Our only hesitation was the remoteness of the place.

Our host respected our privacy, yet was very helpful in showing us around. The tiny cabin was everything we expected, way better than tent camping. Made memories to last a lifetime. Spent a lot of time out and about close by in Copperhill Tennessee and the Ocoee.

Cute little cabin in a gorgeous area convenient to local waterfalls and lakes! I loved the drive out there and saw so many critters &beautiful nature! The host provided free firewood & introduced himself & the property. There are little hikes you can do behind the cabin and a creek.
I would advise arriving before dark as it’s down a long skinny gravel/dirt road and follow the hosts written directions as gps would have dumped me at the neighbor’s house. If you follow the host’s directions you will be fine but would be harder in the dark.
The site itself wasn’t as private as I had hoped. The firepit & picnic table are in full view of the main house. The host totally respected my privacy but it felt strange to sit in someone’s front yard. I had planned to pitch a tent by the fire but when I saw the set up I didn’t. Something to note is there is next to no cell service at the site. I wish I had known that before arriving. As it was, right after I arrived I had to drive back out the steep driveway and long skinny road to find reception so I could let my family know I arrived safely, then return in the dark. As a solo female traveler I prob wouldn’t have booked a spot where I knew I wouldn’t get cell service for safety reasons, but as a couple or with friends/family it would’ve been a peaceful plus!!
Overall this is an affordable option for exploring the area as long as you know what to expect! Oh and I didn’t see a coffee maker in the cabin but might have overlooked it.

We loved the cabin we had. It was what we looking for. Our host was helpful and welcoming. It is located in lovely part of Georgia in a location that has plenty of shade from the sun. Would consider returning in the future.

This was a great spot for a two night getaway! Beautiful Fall colors. Gustav the dog was so sweet. The host was very hospitable and respected our privacy. Provided access to the basement bathroom which was great. Loved walking the property in the morning. Would definitely return.

My family and I really enjoyed the small cabin and the two loft areas. Eva and John where great hosts who responded to my questions quickly and checked on us to see if there was anything we needed. We also loved meeting Gustav, the dog. We will definitely return.

We had a lovely buddy weekend at Forestry Treat! We were three adults, and the sleeping accommodations were perfect. The futon was comfortable, and one of the lofts had a twin mattress. The other didn’t have a mattress, but we’d brought an air mattress just in case, which was perfect. The cabin had everything we needed, including a small heater. We also brought a heater, which kept us toasty warm during 30 degree nights. In case you’re wondering, parking is near the fire pit, which is a short walk from the cabin. We had no problem transporting stuff to and from the cabin. There’s a lovely picnic table near the fire pit, and we enjoyed the complimentary firewood Eve provided. The bathroom was a delight, especially during cold weather. Everything was clean and tidy. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Eve and John!

This was such a peaceful place to relax in the woods with my sweetie. We had enough space for the two of us and access to amenities. Just a beautiful 20 minute drive to hiking and restaurants. We also enjoyed a hike through the paths in the woods behind the cabin. We would come back here. We also suggest playing the Pass the Pig board game.

The cabin was amazing! So quaint and comfortable. It was the best of camping with a few luxuries sprinkled in. Several parks and sights are within an hour drive. The host was kind and there if we ever needed something, plus we got to meet his dog! The downstairs bathroom area was pristine, and nothing is like a hot shower after hiking all day. Bringing a fan or a heater is a good idea if you like the climate a certain way, and also bring a way to cook food and store water. We would definitely book again!

Such a great spot for the weekend in the mountains. Clean, comfy and spacious enough for a party of four to rest up after long hikes. Very calm and peaceful. Host was accommodating...we had an awesome time. Will certainly be back!

We really enjoyed our stay this weekend! Perfectly away from the Fourth of July craziness in Blue Ridge, but still conveniently located to catch fireworks.

This is a nice quiet cabin tucked in the woods. Are host was very accommodating. The cabin is clean and covers the basic necessities. The 3/4 bathroom in the lower part of the main house is very nice. The nights here are very quiet.

We unfortunately were just passing through so we could not enjoy the local area. The location itself is gorgeous. The hosts were very kind and accommodating of our wonky travel schedule. We had small children with us and they were comfortable and happy (as were the adults!). Someday I hope to come back to do nothing but hike and enjoy the local area, and I would definitely book this place again.

Nice little place to stay, could use at least a half bathroom and insulation in the walls but otherwise we liked it. Great setting and a short trip to Long Creek Falls. Thumbs up!
