Beautiful property, sadly all you hear is generators from the RVs and campers. 24 hours a day you would expect them to shut them off after 10pm instead multiple campers ran them all day and night. So many of them around the property doing the same thing could not relocate my tent. This is my second time at this property same thing happened the first time I was hopeful that is one a one off situation. Does not seem like it

This is a large property with plenty of open space to set up camp. I was one of the only tent campers; other folks had RVs and trailers. There are several long-term residents. Kathleen is super-friendly and helpful! Horses, goats and cows share the land. Very safe and private.

The "Retreat" at Lazy K Ranch

We had the most amazing experience staying at Lazy K Ranch! The open spaces were absolutely stunning, and it felt so peaceful and freeing to be surrounded by such beautiful nature. What we loved most, though, was the animals. The free-roaming horses were magical! Watching them wander gracefully across the property was such a unique and special experience. Getting to interact with the animals, whether it was petting the horses or just enjoying their company, made the whole stay even more memorable. My 10-year-old daughter absolutely loved it—she couldn’t get enough of spending time with the animals and exploring the property. Our dogs had a blast too! They loved running around the open spaces, and it was so nice to see how welcoming everyone was, not just to us but to our furry family members as well. The hosts and other guests were incredibly friendly, making the whole experience feel warm and inviting. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway where you can connect with nature, bring your family (pets included!), and enjoy the charm of free-roaming animals, Lazy K Ranch is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back, it’s truly a little slice of paradise! 🐴🐾🌿

We had two sites for two nights near the entrance of the ranch. It was very convenient to the amenities and a fire pit. Kathleen is amazing! She even brought coffee to us in the morning. As well provided firewood for our campfires. It was nice to watch the horses. There’s a very nice boat ramp for those who would want to go boating or kayaking. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone who enjoys being out away from the city. Five stars all the way across the board.

Staying in my campervan on Kathleen's ranch was a blast! There's a beautiful area for campsites amongst the trees if you'd prefer shade, or you can find a spot out in a field by the lake. Several of the horses roam freely and they're all extremely friendly. Two came right up to my van after setting up camp, to investigate, and they would regularly stop by for pets and attention during our stay. Will definitely be back!

The "Retreat" at Lazy K Ranch

We had a really nice van camp night at the Lazy K. We chose to be way out in the field. It was a beautiful sunset and Kathleen even dropped off firewood for us. Great location, just 30 minutes to the Santos bike trails. We would definitely stay here again. And Kathleen has great plans for the place to bring more amenities, yet keeping the spacious options.

What a relaxing weekend! Kathleen is the perfect hostess. She has a beautiful, cozy, filled with animals, campsite. My campsite included a big fire ring, complete with kindling and logs to burn. It had a picnic table and trashcan, but the best part was the big oak tree, under which I set up my tent. As a single woman camping alone I felt completely safe there. Up at the main house, there is a bathroom with the shower for guest use. She also has a living area with comfy couches and a table there. Since it is a working branch, it has plenty of cattle and horses along with a few friendly goats. Thank you for the restful weekend!

Really enjoyed the ranch and camping out by the lake inlet. Kathleen is the nicest host you can ask for and we really enjoyed all the animals. The kitchen, living/hang-out, and bathroom combination room is unique and nice to have around. Definitely recommend it and will be back for sure!

I had the best time camping here. The hosts were attentive and lovely and the land was spacious, quiet, and welcoming. I had acres to myself and enjoyed every minute of it. There’s a place to launch small boats, a nice bathroom and sweet animals. I will definitely be back!

This is a gem! Close to the The Villages for visiting but feels far away. Lovely property with a rescue calf, horses, a few goats, and a wonderful woman, named Kathleen, who works her tail off. She also happens to be one of the owners. There is a small room off the house that welcomes campers, and includes TV and cable, a flush toilet and hot shower, which is a nice bonus. They recently put in a boat ramp so you can access Lake Griffin, from their property. Just beautiful.

The "Retreat" at Lazy K Ranch

Nice property with goats and horses, beautiful large oak trees on the lake. Was very peaceful and quiet. Had other campers staying there in thier RVs and others in thier cars.. Everyone was very nice and mostly kept to themselves. Only complaint is the host didnt communicate with me at all via the hip camp app. I tried asking her various question with no replies but I did meet her in person and she was very welcoming and friendly. Also the pictures on the listing do not match the property. I think those are from another property out of State. I enjoyed my stay and felt safe otherwise.

LAZY K RANCH SOUTH. A SIMPLER TIME.

Kathleens farm was phenomenal. Very peaceful and clean. The camping spots have picnic tables and fire pits and we were surrounded by beautiful fenced pasture with horses. I cant wait to come back here. There is a shower and bathroom available as well. The hosts were very welcoming and you get good privacy.

Just wow! This was such a beautiful property. Kathleen was so helpful and gave us all the options for places to camp on the property. The bathroom & shower was a great bonus amenity. & all the animals were well cared for and friendly! We loved the lake & wish we would have had the opportunity to take out the little boat!

Kathy was a wonderful host! Lots of land to enjoy, and so many beautiful horses! She was the hostess with the mostess and this we will definitely be back. Excited for all the upcoming plans she has for her property!
