There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. Great Private Escape

Stayed a few nights with my wife, adult son and his girlfriend. Very private, easy to find, very well appointed and well maintained. Dirt road was kinda a bummer after winter, but doable. A little tight backing my 30’ trailer in, but we managed. Will likely stay again!

We enjoyed our time at Brian's property. It was clean, quiet and secluded, making it the perfect place to stay after a long day on the road. Having electric hookups was also a huge plus. Would highly recommend!

I don't recommend arriving at night because parking your trailer can be quite tricky if you can't see much, but other than that it was a great campsite, in a mostly very quiet spot.

Amazing Private Camp!

Fantastic spot under the Ponderosa trees! Lovely views, and nice to have the pavilion and lights! Having the place to ourselves with no neighbors in sight was luxurious! Dogs roamed freely and we felt safe and comfortable. The barking guard dogs down in the meadow were the only concern… they didn’t come to camp and that’s great. No problem hearing the roosters. We would highly recommend this site!!

Camping in the Mountains.

We stayed at Forrest Retreat over a long weekend and it is absolutely lovely and quiet. Within a few miles of some pretty decent restaurants and several historic towns. As well as tons of hiking cycling and other opportunities. Being at elevation the site is surrounded by forest and very quiet and peaceful. We will be back. Highly recommended.

Such a cute site! Beautiful views. Tons of extra perks you don’t find at bigger sites. The best part is the privacy you have. We have a lot of dogs so it was soo awesome not having to worry about others rallying them up.

Private Location with advantages.

This was our second visit to the Forest Retreat. We love the area and the privacy of the location and having the electric and sewer hook ups. It was cool weather and there was a fire ban but propane pits were allowed with a permit which was easily obtained online. It was a relaxing getaway.

It's a nice quiet place to stay. Barking dog once in awhile and sounds of roosters in the morning. Lights hanging from tree to tree very nice. There's horse shoes and corn hole games. You will need to back in through the gate. Over all I would certainly go back.

We absolutely loved Brian’s property! It is very well taken care of and extremely clean. It was nice to have power and sewer. During the day we went on an hike and into Graeagle. The is a really nice brewer that is dog friendly and kid friendly 10 mins away from the site called the Brewers Lair. We are already planning our next stay to Brian’s property. I highly recommend staying there.

Great spot to take the kids and dogs to for a couple nights! Very peaceful area with almost no car noise. The kids loved seeing the deer stroll through both nights we were there.

Best of both Worlds

I loved staying at Brian's property. It was fairly secluded yet accessible and had electric and sewer. The area is a dispersed residential area. There are homes in the area, that you can see from a distance but far enough away for privacy. The property is spacious and has several picnic areas and sitting areas and a nice fire pit area and a horse shoe set up. To us, this is was the best of both worlds, secluded with amenities. I loved the lights that are already set up. It was a perfect glamping experience. The directions for check-in were easy to follow. We found the property easily using Apple maps. We were alone at the site and really enjoyed that but the property is large enough if the other site is occupied by Brian. I am not sure how the fire pit area works if there are others there. I assume that the space would be shared, which is not an issue for us, but if it is your concern over shared space, I recommend reaching out to Brian to see how that works. There is a house down the hill with dogs and turkeys, during the day we could hear them barking at times and gobbling. It was not a concern for us, it was very quiet at night. I had to wait to post this review until I decided what dates I wanted to come back. Hopefully everyone enjoys Brian's land as much as we did. This is my favorite Hip Camp I have stayed at.

It was relatively quiet and it had electricity, that is the only good thing that I can say about this site. Getting to the site is awkward. We had it booked for two nights but only stayed one because we were not comfortable with the weird set up.

Exceptionally peaceful and quiet

After a week of being squeezed into a tight RV park and a crowded forest service campground, Brian’s property was the perfect end to our trip. The setting is very beautiful and peaceful, with only a couple of neighbors nearby. All we heard was nature and the occasional barking dog and train. The fire pit area is perfect for relaxing as the sun goes down. The site was nearly level and hookups were great. No water, but we were able to fill our water tank at the Graeagle Chevron, which has plenty of room to pull our 25 foot trailer in and out. Will definitely be back!

Lives up to its name.

The space lives up to its description. Quiet, tucked away and clean. It was a pleasure just relaxing listening to the rooster nearby and watching the wild birds. The lights strung outside add some nice ambient lighting. I could see gathering the family or close friends for an intimate time. You are only a few minutes away from hiking and the lake. We would definitely do this again.

This is a beautiful, quiet spot in the Ponderosas. The owner is doing some improvements but we were all alone for two nights. A neighbor, Kristian, is great: he brought us fresh eggs and water. He has goat's milk, too. Comes with electrical and a septic for RVs. Electrical hookup and sewer.
