It was good for a night with my small kid and old chihuahua in tow. Could make it work with two adults. Property is beautiful and so convenient. People who are upset about bugs, etc., probably should have more reasonable expectations — it’s not a tiny house, it’s an old cabin. There isn’t much of any privacy in this location. The wine cottages next door looked like they did and we will try those next time when my husband can come with us.

Wine country cabin 2
Mainly, it had no comfortable place to relax in the cabin. The bed’s height was way to high for my 80 year old body to get into. It alllooked very “cute” but did not accommodate my needs nor my husband or dog’s. We ended up not spending the night and got a room in Solvang

This place was sweet! Lovely piece of land with multiple units, 5-10 mins from Los Olivos, wine tasting, and everything that sweet little area has to offer. It is a small, no frills place (if you are a "fancy" person probably wouldn't recommend..), but it was clean and comfortable and got the job done for 1 night at a fraction of the price of anywhere else in the area!!!!

Exactly as advertised
Very tight for two people. Would only recommend for a single person.
We just needed to stay a place for the night and it served its purpose. There are gaps in windows and doors through which tiny critters could get in. Shower was good.
Sheets and pillows were clean and place cozy but snug.

Property is nice and interesting. Bunkhouse is as described - small, better for one than two. Door is a pain to use as comments reflect.
When we tried to set up trundle bed, there was rat poop on the blanket. A few minutes later my wife saw a huge rat run from under the bed to the bathroom. She immediately grabbed her belongings and ended up sleeping in the car.
Place needs a proper door the prevents rodents from freely entering and better pest control or a couple of cats. There was a rat trap in the unit but it was obviously not effective enough.

We loved our little staycation without kids and I was pleasantly surprised as how much bigger cabin 1 was compared to pictures.
We started our trip spending time in Los Olivos. We walked to Bobs Well Bread in the morning and took yoga at Old Oak Meadow yoga 5 minutes away. It was a great central location for everything we wanted to do. I didn’t use the little sound machine that was provided but very much appreciated it was there since I’m a light sleeper.
We would love to return someday!

This place is not for RV!!!! No hookups what so ever. She mention you should bring an extension cord but that ain’t the problem…. The plug isn’t for RV and for $80 for just a spot (also our original RV stop was blocked so we couldn’t access to it).
We messaged her, she didn’t message us back. And we called her, she knew nothing about RV hookup, when I searched specific for electric hookup for class C electric hookup, and this showed up, the listing is false advertised!!!!!!

The property was beautiful and located just off the main road. Although the lock to the cottage was a minimal (sliding “latch”) , we had felt safe to leave our luggage behind. The best part of the trip was being greeted by a little brown dog named Aspen.

What a fantastic find!! Perfect place to stay while exploring wine country. The cottage was super cute, cozy and well appointed with amenities. Outdoors had serval seating options with a tranquil fountain for a chill vibe. Close to great restaurants and a fantastic bakery around the corner. I look forward to coming back and have already recommended Lisa’s place. Enjoy your stay!!

We loved everything about our stay! Would definitely recommend. Tons of intention has been put into these cabins and the land to be the most relaxing and comfortable experience. We loved exploring the surrounding areas.

The Creekside Spot
Nice spot to get rest from driving. The garden and surroundings are gorgeous! The simple ground ist directly at the street. Some more informations concerning: wifi (mobile network poor), what is allowed to use or not, could be sent or described upfront. In comparison to other spots, expensive.

This past weekend I decided to go on a weekend road trip getaway. A friend of mine told me about “Hipcamp” so I decided to try it out. I was very grateful that Lisa’s place was available on my last night out on the road. It was a reasonably priced and a charming, cute little place. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in so that was an extra plus for me.
Only thing to note is; if you book on a Tuesday night, keep in mind, the next morning gardeners will be present to maintain the property. This startled me because I had just sat down to enjoy some coffee and read a little bit before I hit the road again and was startled by the leaf blower right when I got settled in on my book. That being said, it was impossible to read at that time so I had to forgo that activity. Just be prepared that quiet during that time probably won’t happen.
Other than that, I was grateful for the space and the charming appeal it had to offer. Also, it super close to town and that was also nice.

Cute little bunk house. Easy to find. Nice parking area.
When we pulled out the trundle bed to prepare for the night the comforter had rat feces and urine on it. The host did immediately respond, came and took the bedding out and changed the sheets. This was very disturbing and made for an uncomfortable night.

I tried to give this host a chance, but it didn’t happen. First off this spot is not made for travel trailers. They do not have a 30amp hookup as they advertise. If you bring 200ft worth of extension cords you can connect to their barn. But, that was barely enough power to run my microwave due to the distance of the extension cords. I had to use my generator during the day and then switch to ground power at night for the quiet. Which was not fun, because I have to reboot everything every day. It will not power your AC unit at all, which was also not fun in 100° weather. I tried to message the host. No response at all through the app. Finally I text her, and she just says oh that makes sense, I should have known because we own an electric company. I’m dumbfounded they own an electric company and can’t provide electricity. She just kept saying sorry, but provided no help. What’s weird is they have a beautiful RV spot with a 50amp hookup next to the cabins, but she said I wasn’t allowed to use it. So it sat empty my entire stay as I fought for power. She finally offered a discount, but never followed through. I waited and waited and she just never responded regarding the refund she promised. I think the name of the space should be called roadside instead of Creekside. As it is 30ft from an active road close to a stop sign where people gun their engines. The dry creek bed is about 80yards away. Way over priced for what’s advertised. There is a nice dog and crickets, I enjoyed.

It looked like the photos, the bed was comfortable, and the linens were sufficient and nice. It had very limited AC for hot weather, the AC was at floor level so of limited help, and there were no screens in some of the windows so dirt was constantly flying in the windows when they were open. Kitchen was sparsely furnished. There is no TV, but we didn’t come for that. The BBQ was very dirty and covered in spider webs. We and the other guests there decided not to use it. The back area was incredibly peaceful especially at night when the cricket symphony roars its relaxing melody. The property dog, Aspen, is one of the best concierge we’ve met! He occasionally stops by to check on your stay, but is never a bother. In fact it’s a pleasant surprise. It feels very safe. The entire property is beautifully decorated, the trampoline was fun. Great location to explore the little towns around like Solvang and Los Olivos.
All in all, we did like where we stayed and would stay there again.
We stayed in a cabin and had the RV spot. That review is separate from this.
Wish we had known about Bobs Well Bread right around the corner sooner!

The bunkhouse was a great location, only 10 minutes out from Solvang! There was a/c, lights and a fan. There was no service or working wifi. We arrived at night so navigating to the backyard was a little difficult with no lights on back there. The twin bed pulls out into a king, which is a nice feature. Sheets and everything seemed very clean but here were a lot of spiders! Definitely bring bug spray, as nats were pretty bad outside. Overall it seemed like a safe and quiet area! We did try contacting the host multiple times (1. to approve our large dog, 2. for a potential change in reservation, and 3. to let her know we had to leave early because of an emergency at home) we never got a response, or even saw them. I would recommend to stay here fo

Lovely spot centrally located in the valley. We were there for a quick overnight and used the trundle as a king bed. Everything was clean and cozy. The grounds were fantastic and a nice place to ease into the morning.
Despite the compact size of the cabin, they thoughtfully included a fridge, french press and small coffee machine. I would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was exactly as described and pictured. Rustic! Complete with the look and feel of late 19th early 20th century cabin construction but with modern conveniences of microwave, shower and comfy bed (if you like it on the softer side), as well as heating and AC units. We were told by the owner, Lisa, that cabin 1 needed its own dedicated circuit. Until then, trying to run AC while laundry was being run was not possible until that run could be put in. To her credit, she offered to stop doing laundry if we desired. Since we were going exploring during the day, we declined her offer allowing her to prepare the other cabin for guests. Be advised, if not familiar with valley temps in the summer, it gets HOT! So, allow at least a hour for AC to cool down the tin roofed cabin. The grounds were well maintained with a shared lighted outdoor are and picnic table between the two cabins. Another larger outdoor lighted dining area was also available.

Super cute yard and vibe BUT the bunk house is SMALL. Two small women fit fine but if I’d brought a large man … he would not fit! The larger cabins look awesome and I’d try therm next time for sure.

Gorgeous little bunkhouse. Perfect for one. Was pleasantly surprised it had a mini fridge and hot water kettle. I enjoyed my dinner out at the firepit with guests staying elsewhere on the property. My sleep was sound. Look forward to returning!

The garden was a really nice bonus for our stay. We ate in the garden and with the lights on at night, it was a really special place. But considering this was a dry camping spot, I thought is was a bit overpriced. The road was also quite noisy and you don't park by the creek (as a thought), but right by the road - only separated by a hedge.

So the cabin is rustic, you have a bed, kitchenette, restroom and shower. The bed was comfy and all in all the cabin served a utilitarian purpose. The location was central to Los Olivos, Ballard and Wineries. The one drawback was that it can get warm in the cabin during the days which may be an issue in the summer. We were out during the days and the nights were not a problem with temperature. Lisa was responsive to all inquiries. I’d stay again.

The Creekside Cabin is a tiny charmer, and every effort has been made in the available space in amenities and nice linens. But the door seriously must be replaced with something with better security than a hook and eye and a gap at the bottom for the mice to get in. And they are coming right in.

The Creekside Spot
Communication with the host was fantastic and the spot in her driveway was large and flat. It faced a main road, which was mostly quiet during the night. The only issue we had was that a car pulled into the driveway around 12:30 am the driver (and possibly more people) remained in the driveway playing music and talking for almost an hour. If we knew ahead of time that someone would be near our vehicle during the night we could have fallen back asleep, but we had no idea if this person belonged there and if it was something we needed to worry about. It made for a poor night's sleep.
