Blackberry Farm sits on the western side of Mount Tamalpais, tucked in the Gospel Flat area of Bolinas. The family farm and residence were established during the late 1970s on the site of the historic Peter’s Dairy Ranch. The original farmhouse dates back to the late 19th century and survived the great 1906 earthquake. Today, the 7-acre farm is being restored to sustainably support fruit orchards, cottage flower and kitchen gardens, honey bees, a boisterous flock of chickens, and naughty shetland sheep. Our self-serve farmstand attached to our barn has seasonal flowers, organic eggs, heirloom fruit, and local goods from the farm. Our property is the perfect rustic getaway for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. You’ll be surrounded by farm/ranch life: chickens clucking, roosters crowing, bees buzzing, and sheep bleating. We also have active nighttime wildlife: coyotes howling, raccoons foraging, owls hooting, etc. Bring earplugs if nature sounds are too much for you. We offer 4 walk-in tent sites that allow you to immerse yourself in nature. We welcome well-behaved pets ON LEASH that won’t harass the chickens, cats, sheep, other campers, or residents. Unruly pets and their campers will be asked to leave. No refund. Limit: 1 dog per site. Pitch your tent in a meadow shared by: Campsite 1 - left side of the meadow, closest to the common area and hot tub. Campsite 2 - middle of the meadow, closest to our fenced apiary and bee garden. Campsite 3 - right side of the meadow, near the orchard. (sites 1 and 3 are next to each other) Campsite 4 - front of the pasture, closest to the parking area (best for car/van campers wanting space to lounge near their parked vehicle.) Multiple sites may be booked for group camping. Sites 1 and 3 are next to each other under the Cypress Trees. Add site 2 if you would like the entire back half of the campground. Add site 4 if you'd like to have a maximum number of 16 total campers and 2 tents/per site. The common area has an outdoor shower, hot tub, covered bbq/cook area, tented (weather-protected) hangout space, and a place to stash your surfboard. Redwood Grove hangout areas have seating and tree swings. Please pack out your trash. We offer a recycling bin for glass bottles, cans, and clean paper. Parking is 100 yds or less from the campsites. We have a large wheelbarrow to help you cart your camping gear across the pasture to your campsite. No driving onto or parking in the meadow. Due to the narrow driveway and parking area (lack of turnaround), the site cannot accommodate RVs, trailers, or oversize vehicles beyond 16ft in length, 7ft in width, or 10 ft in height. 1 car per campsite, please. 15-minute walk to the beach and downtown.

BBF Site 4 - Cypress Front
Wonderful location close to Bolinas beach! Clean and well maintained kitchen/bath house, fire pit area, and even a pizza oven! Be mindful of foxtails around the campsite if you plan on bringing dogs. Campsite 4 stays shady a bit longer in the morning, but receives full sun from ~10-sundown - take advantage of the communal area under redwoods next to the site for some shade.

Headspace reset
This was such a recharging experience. A friend and I camped at Blueberry Farm for three nights. (Yes, there's actually blackberry bushes around!) It was my first time glamping and it was great. The two flush toilets, shower, well equipped kitchen with an effective gas stove. I don't know if our hosts vet the people they host but all of our camping neighbours were respectful and considerate of each other. The communal spaces such as the gas fire place are very cosy at night. When you camp here over night, please, please, look up to the sky!! I haven't seen this much stars and galaxies with my bare eyes in years. There's a little farm shed where you can purchase Sirima's art, fresh eggs from the farm (both chicken and quail eggs), and Sirima's handmade body products such as deliciously fragrant soaps, lip balms and hand creams. I bought eggs and had it for a delicious breakfast the day after getting back to the city. Just please remember to respect our hosts private spaces. The farm is a quick walk from the center of town, along with the beach! While hiking around Point Reyes, just a beautiful drive away, I've learned more about the Coastal Miwok tribe, as it is their ancestral land. There were plaques up about the history of the area, sometimes mentioning the indigenous stewards of the lands; some of our camping neighbors, a family, were discussing whose original land we were on, too. Thank you Sirima and Walter for welcoming us. Hoping to return in the future.

Cool spot
The location was absolutely beautiful. My kids loved the animals. The facilities made camping a breeze. It felt like more of a jumping off point for other adventures like nearby beaches. If you had a group big enough to take each site I could see this being an awesome place for friends to get together also.

Beautiful space, central location
This is the third year I've camped at the Blackberry Farm over 4th of July weekend and so I think it's safe to call it an annual tradition. Each of the sites has plenty of space, but I really enjoyed Site 4. It felt more secluded from the other camp sites. Sirima and Walter continue to be gracious and attentive hosts. The amenities seem to improve each year (the sheltered dining space was new to me) and the fellow campers are friendly and considerate. We found the space very peaceful, but it's not necessarily *quiet* if that's important to you. It's a farm so you'll definitely hear the roosters, hens, quail, and sheep. Plus, people often camp with their young children and dogs. This was a plus for us but it's worth noting in case you're looking for silence. The raccoons here are clever and persistent so be sure to bring a large plastic bin and/or cooler for storing food. You'll have to be similarly diligent with any bags of trash. Otherwise be prepared to put things in your car as soon as it gets dark. It's convenient to drive to lots of hikes (Pt Reyes is beautiful) and Bolinas is a gem. There's a narrow trail through the eucalyptus trees which makes for a pleasant walk into town and to the beach so you don't have to deal with parking. We enjoyed visiting Smiley's for a light lunch and drinks. There's a strong community vibe in Bolinas but the locals are still friendly to visitors. Respect the place and the people and you'll have a great time!

This spot is wonderful. So sweet to camp on a farm with me and my son. We got to sleep next to the chickens and bees and it was delightful. Used the outdoor kitchen and had everything we needed. Loved the hosts. Will come back!
