Nature. Privacy. Glamping! Tucked away in a mountain valley just 20 minutes from Asheville, our fully remodeled vintage camper is a spacious and comfortable retreat. Rest on a new tuft and needle queen size bed with 1000 thread count sheets.

Nestled in a magical rhododendron and mountain laurel forest, you will hear birds and feel the breeze here. Just before the end of a well-kept flat private gravel road, there is just one house past the camper. The site is located on private acreage with no other campsites. This kind of natural privacy is very rare on hipcamp.

We offer a mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle, French press for coffee, basic dishware, cutting board, knife and silverware. Enjoy the indoor or outdoor chairs and table for drinks and meals. In the winter we offer an electric fireplace heater for cozy warmth.

Note: I hope you will enjoy taking a short break from technology in nature. I do not currently offer wifi and most major cell carriers (excepting T-mobile) work well enough to text. Most are not strong enough to use smartphone browsers, stream or do directions. Most carriers work a few minutes away towards Charlotte Highway (74-A) for all of your adventure planning needs. 

You can pull right up to the camper and park off the road in your own driveway. A short trail right by the camper winds you through our peaceful flowering forest to our new composting toilet outhouse. We offer a warm outdoor shower and sink with a forest view. And Turkish towel bathrobes!

You may see foxes, rabbits, squirrels, turkeys, deer, hawks, all sorts of birds and even bears!

Deep in a residential area surrounded by farms and pastures but just 15 minutes from the blue ridge parkway, we offer peaceful quiet with no road noise. Large and small local groceries are located within 10 minutes. Farm stands and restaurants and also a short drive away.

You will need a car in this area to get around. Uber and Lyft are also available here.

We warmly welcome all types of people and relationships who are respectful of others and our space.

Please be aware: If you are taller than 6' you will have to crouch a bit in the camper. Our outdoor shower has warm water after a few minutes. For your safety, no candles, fires, BBQ, pets, smoking, vaping or kids older than pre-crawling infants at this time. We do share our forest with bears so ALL food, food scraps, and trash must be kept locked in your trunk or the camper for safety.
