We’re open year-round. Bring your home or stay in the comfort of our 2-bedroom Suites or beautifully renovated Motel Rooms. Most RV sites have ocean or bay views – 17 are directly on the bay water. Twelve pull-through sites directly face Cedar Island beach with fantastic views. Our RV park has 61 spaces with water plus 30- and 50-amp electric service. When the guests ask, we provide. So, we’ve got everything you need for an unequaled coastal experience right here. The Cedar Island Ferry terminal to Ocracoke Island and on to Cape Hatteras is right at our doorstep. You’ll have free Wi-Fi, clean bathroom facilities, and an enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff to help. Bring your boat. We have a private ramp and a state ramp into deep water and Atlantic access.

Tent - Wooded

We had a great time camping on Cedar Island! It was packed but was quiet by 9 pm except on 4th of July and they were done with the music/noise by 10. It was perfect and beautiful! Plus the ferry to Ocracoke is right next to the camp site. Will definitely be back!

The staff was very friendly with anything we needed or with questions we had. The bathrooms stayed extremely clean our whole visit. The campsite was clean when we got there. We were very pleased with out time

Waterfront Back-In FHU 50ft

No truly what was expected.

Overall, the campground was atleast clean. And walking distance to beach access. The spots are very tightly fit and there are no rules/ regulating others using RVs and Tents in the same spot, which made it tricky so nothing was ran over. Very quiet area but truly secluded from the outside world. Before booking we searched for stuff to do around the island and most said “30 minute drive” but honestly it was 45 minute drive to closest Dollar General and 1 hour to closest grocery store (Food Lion), if you want to shop it was 3 hour drive one way to the Premium Outlets, which was half way back home for us. Power did go out on 2 occasions and no communication from the campground or host so we got details from google. They do offer WIFI but I was unable to use it the entire week we were there. No cell service in the area either. Camp store has very minimal supplies needed while camping so come prepared with those “just in case” items because the store won’t have it. I can say very friendly staff just not what was detailed or expressed before booking or found on search engines . Be prepared and plan ahead if staying here. Oh, and if you are wanting waterfront- you will be placed (as the one worker said “swamp area”) nothing is truly beach front access.

Simply Beautiful

Cedar Island Ranch is a wonderful place to camp. The amenities, kind and helpful staff, proximity to beach access and the ferry service to Ocracoke all add to the remote atmosphere of being located within the Cedar Island National Wildlife Refuge.
