Lily Bay State Park

You might find moose at Moosehead Lake, but you’ll also find yourself, at least according to Henry David Thoreau. Moosehead Lake is Maine’s largest lake, and the humble Lily Bay State Park is perched on Moosehead’s eastern shore. The locals call this “God’s Country” for its pristine wilderness and incredible beauty. Lily Bay is an awesome spot to explore the lake in any season. Fish for salmon and trout in the early spring, cruise around the lake on your floater in the summer, and strap on your skis in the winter and slide along the miles of groomed trails.
