We had a nice stay. First impression was great, the yurt was clean and fresh. The beds were quite comfy. Pretty much everything you need is provided. Monica was hilarious and helpful. We ate a lot of good food from local eateries and saw some great sights. The outdoor shower was great. We sat on the dock in the evenings and watched the frogs and loons. We definitely recommend this site!

We loved staying in Monica's yurt! It was in a convenient location just outside of Greenville and the property had everything we needed while still feeling primitive. It was such a treat to be able to use the kayaks as well! We'll definitely seek this out the next time we stay in the area!

Monica's camp has been thoughtfully outfitted and provides a comfortable base camp for the many activities available in the area. This was our first time staying in a yurt and we hope not the last.
We ordered a firewood bundle add-on and Monica had it assembled and ready to light with fire-starter and gas match nearby. She readily disclosed the road noise so that we could bring ear plugs. Road noise was definitely present during the day, but also the songs of birds and loons calling to each other, and when we woke in the middle of the night it was completely silent. There was a pounding rain throughout one night of our stay, but it was comfortable and dry in the yurt. We'd brought along a down comforter in case it got cold, but the provided comforter was plenty warm. An added luxury was the outdoor shower with hot water, so be sure to bring towels.
We appreciated all Monica's added touches and advice regarding things to do in the area. It was a wonderful stay and we'd be happy to return.

Wonderful spot close to Monson and to Greenville and surrounded by so much to do and see! Very comfortable beds and most everything we needed for a perfect weekend! Kayaking on the pond was a big highlight. Super peaceful. We hope to get back again!

We had an amazing experience. The beds were incredibly cozy and comfortable, and the fact that all cooking supplies were provided made meal preparation a breeze. The fire pit was a perfect touch for enjoying the outdoors, and the location was exactly what I was looking for- within a 15 minute drive to Moosehead Lake. I would highly recommend this yurt rental to anyone looking for a unique getaway. 5 stars!

The yurt was extremely spacious and had everything we needed. Our favorite part was the fire pit but the shower was a close second! We had issues with the battery connection and Monica came out and fixed it quite quickly. Despite being next to traffic, which wasn’t bothersome for us, the area was very peaceful and remote. It was also a great location right near Moosehead Lake. Monica had great suggestions of things to visit in the area as well. Overall a great stay and would recommend!

This is a beautiful spot! The tent is huge and thankfully quite waterproof. The kitchen area had everything we needed and then some. The outdoor shower was a nice treat after a long day. The pond is beautiful and using the provided kayaks was super fun and very easy!
I would recommend this to anyone looking for ruggedish glamping without having to bring everything with you. Road noise wasn’t an issue for us but you could hear it. The pond and the bird calls were enough of a distraction that we didn’t notice.

We loved our stay here. The yurt-style tent is spacious (it was just 2 of us but we remarked 4 would be quite comfortable). Monica provided plenty of cooking supplies and water. The outhouse was close and the shower very nice and warm. We enjoyed the short walk down to the pond, and loved sitting beside the campfire. Our only complaint was the noise from the road, which was better on weekends vs weekdays and not as bad at night. Other than that we were very happy here and enjoyed meeting Monica and getting some local recommendations (go to Turning Page Farm Brewery!)

We had an amazing time! The yurt was clean and spacious, beds comfortable. The outdoor kitchenette had the essentials needed for us to cook outdoors and/or fireside.
There’s plenty of nearby hiking, from the AT to Borestone Mountain, and Mount Kineo a short drive and ferry ride away.
Having access to kayaks allowed us to get out on the pond every morning for sunrise! We were the only ones out there, floating with the mist, the loons, and the bald eagle.
Highly recommend partaking in the gourmet breakfast! All ingredients were locally sourced or homemade - a beautiful touch to one of our best and most relaxing and enjoyable vacations yet!

Super great little camp. Many supply's provided for cooking and comfort. Would absolutley come back. Semi trucks very loud at night though. Very close to the main road. So many different types of birds as well. And the night sky was beautiful from the dock on the water!

The yurt was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable! Potable water was provided and easily accessible, and there’s a little path straight to the lake that has a stunning view and Monica provided cooking utensils/equipment that made our lives much easier. This was such a wonderful escape! Packing was a breeze because Monica has everything you need right at camp, and the breakfast was amazing (maple buttered bread for the win). Beds were cozy, kayaking/paddleboarding down a nature path, and firewood all split for you.

From the moment we walked up to the campsite what we experienced I can only describe as magical. Monica did an absolutely superb job making us feel welcome, giving us local recommendations (food, hikes, etc.), and y'all don't even get me started on THAT BREAKFAST!! Let me tell you, it was a piece of local HEAVEN! If you have the opportunity you simply MUST try Monica's add-on breakfast.
Beyond the breakfast, the site itself was clean, well kept and had a small trail to a beautiful pond. Overall it was such a great time for me and my spouse to relax, reconnect, and get some good nature time in. Thank you Monica for such a great experience!

Monica was an excellent host and she has a beautiful property.She knows the area very well and has lots of suggestions for things to do. We had fun using the kayaks she provided to go around the pond, which is large. The camp was very functional and private. Yurt beds were comfortable. The only drawbacks were misquitos and some noise from the road. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature.

Monica has a beautiful spot with access to so much adventure ! We stayed in a large canvas tent with solar lights and all the amenities you would need. We were greeted with a ready to lite fire. The twinkle of the solar lights were just enough. There was easy access to an outhouse right across from the tent. A trail leads to a gorgeous pond were kayaks were available to use. The sunrise was breathtaking on the dock as well ! We were close to everything we wanted to explore. We were lucky enough to chat with our hostess and she was so nice and had great suggestions for hikes and local tips. On our 3 day trip we saw 2 waterfalls, hiked some trails, saw the b52 crash memorial and got up close and personal with a moose !! Great spot to be close to so much nature and adventure ! Thanks again Monica for a great stay 😀

Staying at Monica's yurt in Monson, Maine was a uniquely wonderful experience. She did so many thoughtful things to make our stay as enjoyable, welcoming, and comfortable as possible - including leaving homegrown squash on our picnic table for us, making kayaks available to use on adjacent Spectacle Pond (a beautiful place where we were serenaded by loons), providing all the necessities to make s'more on the campfire (which was stocked with cordwood), and making great suggestions for things to do in the area. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet her because she was away dealing with a family emergency, but her kindness and consideration were felt every moment we were there.

My family and I had a great time here at Monica's. Lots of thoughtful touches, smore's kits for my kiddos, lanterns and "petty" solar powered lights and lanterns in and out, a small herb garden, the use of 4 kayaks and travel padels. She was very helpful when we texted with questions about directions, where to eat, etc. Beautiful area with lots to do if you want to adventure, hike, and see some beautiful sites. The only "negative" about this site would be noisy traffic coming from the busy road behind the campsite. All in all a great stay!

My three daughters and I had the pleasure of staying at Monica’s in Monson. We arrived to her friendly smile and a tent decorated so thoughtfully with fairy wings, nets (for water fun, not fairy catching😉) and beautiful wild flowers. She even had a craft for my girls, fairy lanterns to light up our camp.
Everything was laid out with thought, use and purpose. The outdoor kitchen was easy to use and we enjoyed the s’mores and fresh coffee. I found it easy to use both the outside kitchen and fire pit for both breakfast and dinners.
Location- amazing! My girls and I loved kayaking right from Monica’s dock. We saw heron, loons and Eagles. It was so peaceful and made the morning delightful. We were able to hit up Greenville easily for a day trip and Monson to hike Borestone. We will definitely be back for more hiking and kayaking.
