McCormicks Creek State Park
Indiana, you did it again: with McCormicks Creek State Park, you make visiting a necessity.
Indiana's oldest state park boasts a stunning limestone canyon, flowing creek, and cascading waterfalls. Hike 10+ miles of trails that range from 1/2 mile to 2 miles. All are easy to moderate, with the exception of the rugged 0.8-mile Trail 3 loop. Hit Trail 7 for great fishing on the nearby White River.
Kids love the Olympic-size swimming pool, wading pool, playgrounds, and playing fields. You'll find a variety of games and sports at the Recreation Center. Two outdoor tennis courts near the park's entrance are lighted at night. Several picnic areas with tables, grills, and bathrooms invite relaxation.
McCormick's offers 190 modern campsites with electrical hookups and showers. 33 primitive campsites and four primitive youth tent areas have pit toilets. Two cool group camps feature barracks, dining halls with commerci
