Even we booked quite late, Kelly was able to show us qickly the pitch. The property and the nature around it are wonderful! We had a great time until the next day at 2pm.

Kelly’s land is dreamlike, tucked into a beautiful valley with the perfect mix of grassy hills and large trees along a rocky stream. The concrete pad, while also serving as a basketball court, was a nice touch to help keep clean while cooking and hanging out.

My family and I traveled to Bloomington, IN for the April 8, 2024 Solar Eclipse. This property is in a beautiful location only a few miles from Indiana University. We tent camped next to Kerr Creek -- so peaceful and quiet-- which is amazing considering our close proximity to downtown Bloomington and the IU campus.
Following the solar eclipse we were fortunate to meet our camp host Kelly -- where we discussed the amazing eclipse event we all just experienced together. Kelly was very generous with his personal time -- going so far as to give us a walking tour of the surrounding state forest adjacent to his property. This guided hike through the forest included finding six large morel mushrooms which Kelly shared with us -- a most gracious gesture on his part. Meeting Kelly was definitely one of the highlights our trip. We look forward to staying at Kerr Creek again in the future.

Good camping spot- the best part is that it’s just 10 minutes from Bloomington, IN and all that the best college town on the planet has to offer (IU athletics, entertainment, 150 restaurants etc.)- and then Nashville, IN, Brown County State Park, Lake Monroe, etc. are also very close-

Had a wonderful weekend tent camping on Kelly’s land. It was very private and a beautiful location. Also close to great hiking spots and shopping not too far away! Will definitely be back!

This was our 4th time staying at Kerr Creek and we will absolutely be coming back! Kerr Creek has become our favorite weekend getaway. Our families live in Bloomington so being able to camp close to them on the weekends, has been memorable. Kelly allows us to have our family and friends out to enjoy his beautiful property. We’re hoping we’ll actually get to meet Kelly the next time we stay. ☺️

My husband and I spent an evening at Kerr Creek. It was the most beautiful and peaceful place. There is a path down to the creek that you can walk along. The basketball court was a great addition for extra fun! We woke up to rain the following more but the big Sycamore tree kept us dry as we listened to the rain and thunder roll in. We cannot wait to visit again!

I travel for work in our camper van with our two dogs and use Hipcamp to find peaceful places to stay usually last minute. I booked this spot eight hours before arrival and was delighted with the extremely early check-in time AND extremely late check-out time. We found perfection here. Absolute tranquility, a fire pit with wood already waiting when we arrived, plenty of space for our dogs to run off leash and the spot between the garden and basketball court backs right up to the creek ridge! I often work late hours so a 4pm check-out time allowed me a long peaceful night's sleep without using an alarm, a luxury I rarely get! The hosts messaged with clear arrival instructions and let us know they were available should we need anything including tips and information on the local area.
Kelly's piece of our planet is nothing short of heavenly and we appreciate that she is generous enough to share it with us! It's places like this that make Hipcamp so amazing!

This place was simple yet peaceful. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights. We set up camp in the large yard and built a fire there too. Plenty of firewood was supplied and easy to burn. We never met the host, but we befriended their nice dog Blake who came to camp with us :). For anyone in the area looking for a quiet place to camp, then this is a perfect spot to go.
