- Reservations for yurts and cabins can be made up to nine months ahead of time online or over the phone.
- Some reservations require a two-night minimum length of stay. Out-of-state visitors may be subject to additional fees.
- Cabins can accommodate anywhere from six to eight people. The Bunkhouse and Railroad Ranch Dormitory are also available for large groups.
When to Go
Wildlife lovers can enjoy a visit to Harriman State Park any time of year. Winter is the best time for seeing trumpeter swans, while American white pelican sightings are common in summer and fall. Summer is the best time for hiking and mountain biking at Harriman State Park, while winter sports typically kick off in early December and run through late March depending on snow conditions. Many cabins and yurts are available for rent year-round.
Know Before You Go
- A per-vehicle entrance fee is required to enter the park, and an additional per-person trail fee is required to access ski trails in winter.
- The Henry’s Fork of the Snake River flows through Harriman State Park and offers some of the best fly fishing in Idaho.
- Horseback rides are offered from June 1 through October.
- Dogs are not permitted beyond parking lots. The only exception is in winter when dogs are allowed on the Harriman Hounds Trail.
