Also attractions in our valley are Falls creek falls, an assume view just steps from your car you can stand on top of a wide spread waterfall dropping into the snake river. Just a couple miles from camp is Palisades creek trailhead, a wonderful hike along a wide creek through the forest with multiple foot bridges crossing the creek and leading to 2 mountain lakes. we have seen a family of moose at the lower lake 2 out of 3 times we hiked it. A trail to the right just before the lake brings you to an out cropping of rocks giving you an elevated view. And of course Palisades reservoir, a 20 mile long stretch of water is just 3 miles from camp. The dam keeps the water flow of the snake at optimal flow all season.

The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley.   Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's.  Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's.  My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917.  They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay.  Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses.  In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River.  It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho.  This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean.  Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights.  Our location sits at an elevation of 6,300' above sea level.Learn more about this land:Located 1 mile from Victor, Idaho along the Old Jackson Highway. We spent our evenings staring at the beautiful Tetons after enjoying the sauna and cold plunge. 10/10 stars is not enough!

We had such a great experience! It was very quiet and peaceful. An easy 30 minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, and even a historical railroad hike walking distance from the campsite! Would stay here again!

This was a great campground at a very reasonable rate with breakfast included. The campground host, Mr. Milkbone was very popular with my dogs! The location was great and I had fun renting the e-bikes and riding to the town up the way for lunch. Would absolutely stay here again.

They were very kind and helpful, making sure I knew where things were and to make myself at home. They communicated very well, and had no problems finding the site. It was quiet, super soft and nice grass, and had fire ring and chairs if I wanted to have a fire.

Tent camping was so easy here! The space was a perfect length for our car and tent to fit with lots of space in between. There is a cute fire pit that we unfortunately did not get to use for time purposes and it is lit with lanterns if you happen to arrive past sundown! very spacious and perfect for our short stay:)

What an awesome spot! Joy is a phenomenal host—communicative, welcoming, and has great energy. A little rain and cloud did little to dampen the experience, which was highlighted by a nice long sweat in the sauna (a MUST) and a brief but invigorating dip in the cold plunge. Shoutout to a couple of friendly four legged friends, who I also had the great fortune to meet. While I didn’t get to experience the epic sunrise over the Tetons due to an early departure, this was easily remedied by a quick journey back over the pass to the national park (another must!). This was my first, but certainly not my last stay!!

We arrived late but Derek provided directions to the local store via text and met us at the gate. Helped to find some small firewood and lent an axe. Next morning woke to a really peaceful site where the owners have done a great job of making a great site - communal area with games, nice lighting and the best shower we’ve seen after weeks on the road. Well worth a visit.

We were headed to Salt Lake from Jackson WY after visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton so this one campsite location on the other side of the pass in Idaho fit the bill. Owner was very easy to communicate with. Power and water only.
