Also attractions in our valley are Falls creek falls, an assume view just steps from your car you can stand on top of a wide spread waterfall dropping into the snake river. Just a couple miles from camp is Palisades creek trailhead, a wonderful hike along a wide creek through the forest with multiple foot bridges crossing the creek and leading to 2 mountain lakes. we have seen a family of moose at the lower lake 2 out of 3 times we hiked it. A trail to the right just before the lake brings you to an out cropping of rocks giving you an elevated view. And of course Palisades reservoir, a 20 mile long stretch of water is just 3 miles from camp. The dam keeps the water flow of the snake at optimal flow all season.

The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley.   Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's.  Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's.  My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917.  They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay.  Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses.  In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River.  It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho.  This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean.  Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights.  Our location sits at an elevation of 6,300' above sea level.Learn more about this land:Located 1 mile from Victor, Idaho along the Old Jackson Highway. Cabins Our free-standing tiny cabins are located in our RV park with beautiful views of Ashton Hill. Cabins are approximately 400 sq feet, featuring a separate bedroom with two queen rooms and full closets, full bathroom, kitchen/dinette and cozy living space with a pull-out sofa. Don’t forget to enjoy the sunsets on your private outdoor porches! Eagle Peak Provisions are available for purchase at the hotel lobby for our guests with a variety of dietary preferences. RV & Tent Sites We are located at 164 and 205 White Pines Avenue, Ashton, Idaho 83420, kitty corner to the lodge. Most sites are pull-through, but we never have an issue with guests pulling in or out of our perimeter spots, as we can take up to 66-foot rigs. Sites have full hook-ups including water, sewer, and power with both 50-amp + 30-amp options. At this time, sites do not offer cable TV at our RV campground.. Dedicated bathrooms/showers are NOT available at the RV sites. Our rooms do have private bathrooms and cable TV (Direct TV). Our community has a great laundromat within about half-a-mile of our property.
