CLOSE TO YELLOWSTONE NP! This is a great spot with easy access to all the outdoor recreation that Island Park offers. A convenient 30-minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. A quick 10-minute drive to enjoy the beautiful day hikes of Harriman State Park. You can also hike directly from Camp Steelhead on the old historic rail grade and enjoy the views of the majestic Buffalo River. Enjoy a quiet camping area with the convenience of power hookups for your RV (30 amp) or just plug in your phone to the 110 outlets if you are tent camping. Close proximity to Highway 20 and easy access to services and dining. One RV/Trailer per campsite. Camp Steelhead is located within the beautiful Yellowstone Ecosystem. While we have not had any problems with wildlife. We ask that campers store food properly to avoid any issues. Yellowstone does not have a fence around it. Animals wander all through the area.

Wonderful Campsite, Kind Owner!

This was a lovely place to camp! The Portapotty was very clean, and the area was nice and scenic. The flowers were blooming beautifully all around! The fire pit and grate were great as were the picnic table and electrical access! There was non-potable water easily available for fire extinguishing which was very helpful! Would camp there again definitely! The owner is very kind and went out of his way to help me easily get my Apple Watch back after I forgot it at the site.

We loved it

Beautiful, quiet, secluded spot with amazing star gazing opportunities without light pollution. We loved it! Having the portable toilet on site was very convenient as well. Site was impeccably clean and maintained. No issues with critters.

Great spot for what we needed- clean port-o-potty and had a nice campfire set up! Close access to west entrance of Yellowstone which was great! I would maybe recommend having an additional port-o-potty instead of just the one

Camp steel head is rad

Mike was rad , the site was rad we booked both sites and brought out a trailer and an Rv my only complaint is not spending more time along with our trip to Yellowstone and Henry's lake we would need a month at least to full engage in the community and vibe of island park grateful to use camp steelhead as home camp and we will be back

Nice, clean, fairly level site with power! Close to the west entrance (get an early start because that traffic is heavy) of Yellowstone. Quiet, with a river not too far away that's safe for kids.
