Previously a 100 acre century farm, this fertile land was tended to by generations of old time farmers. Their dairy cows pastured in areas which we now graze sheep. The restored quarry provided gravel for the nearby highway restoration and local projects.The property is currently a mix of hay ground, cropland, pasture, forest, and quarry. Twin sisters, Darla and Kayla, and their families live across the road from each other and own the surrounding 140 acres. They keep busy planting/tending trees, making hay, moving fence for grazing animals, operating a farm business called Twin Folk Farms (pastured meat, camps, etc), and raising their families.Learn more about this land:- This site is at the edge of a restored quarry, sheep pasture, and wooded hillside.- The site is tucked down a flat mowed path, so it feels very private and protected. - You can hike up a path to the sheep pasture. Sometimes sheep are there, sometimes elsewhere on the farm. You can hike the other direction and check out the restored quarry. We have paths all around the property, so feel free to respectfully explore.- You can't see the highway from this site, but you can hear it. It's super handy to be able to hop out of your campsite haven and onto the hwy, but be aware that you will hear vehicles.- There's a Mississippi river boat launch a few miles down the road, so feel free to park your boat at the bottom of the quarry driveway.- The Hay Creek riding trails are 25 minutes away, so contact us if you want to set up a place in the quarry to park your horses and trailer for the night. - We are certified to sell meat straight off of the farm (Twin Folk Farms), so contact us if you want to purchase your meat and have it delivered to your campsite. You can also set up a time to come up to the farm and purchase meat. - The beautiful, historic town of Red Wing is 10 minutes from our farm. You'll find a mix of modern amenities and historic shops to suit your fancy.

The Chippewa County Forest (over 10,000 acres) Hickory Ridge Trailhead is located about 5 miles away. You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. Trails wind past small lakes and beaver ponds, as well as spectacular vistas and abundant wild life.
LIST OF SITES (all of our sites now include a portable toilet, firewood, fire ring, water, power, picnic table and/or chairs).
BIRCH Waterfront is named for the beautiful birch trees that frame your view of the lake that also includes soothing evening loon sounds :) It is our medium size campsite with a level gravel and grass pad with lakefront access via the long wooded dock and an included row boat for fishing and boating.
EAGLE POINT Waterfront is a favorite because it is the most private, surrounded by trees and is on a elevated waterfront lot with steps down to a dock. This site has a canoe and a row boat and the best spectacular sunset views. The eagle's nest is in a tall pine tree above the steps!
BOB LAKE WEST Waterfront is our only site that is not on this dead end road. It is located on the west side of the lake near the boat landing. This site has a bonus small storage shed which could be a cool kids cabin. It is partially wooded elevated site with stunning sunrise views.
WOODED RUSTIC is a non-waterfront campsite for both tents or RV's that has been updated to a site with power and water and includes access to the lake and a row boat at our common access which is only about 200 yards down the road from this site. RV's can park on the gravel pad and tent guests can setup down the walking trail in the woods.
This property was previously owned by Trapper Art who was well known in the area and started several successful businesses dating back to 1967 including Art's Snowmobile, Trapper Arts, and Art's Electric which was quite an accomplishment in the Wisconsin Northwoods!

We loved staying on Candace’s land! Our kids and dogs felt right at home. It was upscale tent camping. We had a great outdoor fire for breakfast, dinner, and s’mores and a great indoor fire to keep us warm on the cool fall nights.
The beds were comfortable - especially when you’re used to a tent and a camping pad! And the house heated up so nicely. It was really nicely stocked - we normally bring tongs, spatula, etc. but there were some hung on the cabin which was a nice touch. It was really nice not to get service for a few days, enjoy the scenery, and bum around local towns. We’d absolutely stay again. ❤️

This is such a beautiful, serene spot overlooking the river with plenty of room for our dog to run off his energy! Susan was quick to get back to me with answers to my questions and was warm & friendly with replies.. She has a wonderful garden that she allowed us to pick vegetables and herbs from and she wouldn’t let us pay for them, which was so generous! This was our second time here; we’ll be back next year! It's a peaceful, beautiful site. The lake is especially gorgeous in the mornings. Everything was clean and ready to go when I got there and I couldn't ask for anything more. I had a great stay.

Beautiful, spacious site. On a very picturesque lake. Took out boat and canoe. Went swimming on sandy bottom. Great for playing yard games and good space for our group of 6 adults. Took nice hike at Hickory Ridge Trail, 4 miles away.

Beautiful, private site above Bob Lake in gorgeous tall pines. Lovely setting for a gathering of friends. Hiking nearby at Hickory Ridge was a nice 3.5 mile hike. Canoeing, row boats and swimming made us hungry for pizza making and a game night. Even the rain didn't dampen our fun! Can't wait for another trip!

We LOVED this site and would absolutely come back. I truly hope to!! It's a great set up, directions were easy to follow to get there (also such a pretty drive in) and Brenda/Mike made sure that we knew they were readily available, should we need anything.
I was a little ehhh about $100/night for a site since we do not use electricity and water hookups, but if you want to kayak/swim/paddleboard...the location is SO WORTH IT. Lake Bob is beautiful for sunrises and sunsets, to watch the eagle fly around the lake or the fish jump out of the lake, to paddle around or to try to catch the Northern Lights, like we were lucky enough to do so.
We took advantage of Lake Wissota State Park nearby (beach, biking, hiking) and visiting Eau Claire, Cornell and Chippewa Falls.

This was a pleasant surprise. Nice and remote location on a small hill with horses close by. You may hear dogs barking from afar but not disturbing. Fire pit also there.

Loved our stay. It was a great escape for all of us. The what we assume is a dry creek was fun to wonder up as well as the paths I do warn that if you have a lower car you will have to park at the top of the hill and walk everything down to the site but its worth it.

Personally I like to camp in areas where I'm not surrounded by a million campers like a trailer park. I also like to camp with a waterfront. It was a very peaceful campsite I even had my own dock to the lake. It's a huge campsite so there is plenty of room to situate yourself without the concern of others staring at you. I had a restful week there it was worth it. Also I felt safe there and I was a camping solo female.

This was our 2nd trip to Eagle Point, we love it there. It’s nice and large, so fits our camper and kids tents easily. The best part is the peacefulness, we tend to not camp on holiday weekends to avoid the crowds but that’s not a problem at Eagle Point:)

Darla and her husband were super friendly and excellent hosts. They were kind enough to let us fill our water tank at their house/barn and we got to meet some of their animals. Our dog even got to check out a chicken for the first time.
The site itself was very secluded, in a bit of small valley with a hill on three sides and long curved path leading up. The tent area and cabin were both rented out while we were there but we never saw any sign of them. Our site and everywhere we walked was nice thick grass except for the gravel quarry and hills in/out.
A few tips (not complaints):
The gravel road down from the highway was narrow and steep so much better to arrive in the daylight if possible. It is a straight shot and empties into a big flat quarry field so no danger of getting lost or anything, just less uncomfortable if you can see everything.
Our camper and truck combo was right at the edge of their recommended length, so getting in and settled to the site was a challenge. That's on us, not on them. If I had to do it again, I probably would have driven into the quarry and backed down the path instead of my 27-point turnaround effort in the site. A smaller camper (and/or more experienced driver) would have been better suited to layout.
As mentioned in the site description, you could hear some road noise but usually just loud motorcycles or trucks that seemed to have their Jake brakes on. Totally disappeared inside the camper.
