Welcome to my property that sits below the Goldendale Observatory. In fact, there are hiking trails right behind (to the east) the property that will take you right up to the State Park. From April to September, the Observatory is open Thursday-Sunday from 3pm-5pm for the Solar Show and from 9pm-Midnight for the Evening Show. More information is on their website or through Washington State Parks website. My dream at 8 years of age was to have my horse in my own backyard. This dream finally came true when I moved out to Central Washington in 2017. Over the years I have had bunnies, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, Scottish Highlands and, of course, my horse Tigger. Due to major life changes, Tigger and the Highlands are the only animals (other than dogs & cats) on the property. By the end of the summer, it will only be my horse. Situated on the outskirts of town and on the West side of Observatory Hill, Goldendale has the ONLY public observatory in the Pacific Northwest. It was built in 1973 and received a major renovation in 2019/2020. Both the town and Klickitat county have light ordinances aimed at protecting the dark sky that have been in place since the early 1980s. Seeing all of the stars, and many times planets, are just breathtaking. If it's a full moon night or even nearly full moon, it lights up the sky. I love my little oasis, and I love to share it with others. As a friendly reminder, if you bring your vehicle onto our property it could be scratched from hooves or horns. The animals are curious and will want to checkout the new things in their pasture. This Spring/Summer season (2024) my youngest sister, Hannah, is spending the summer with her little ones (6yo & 4yo), so she will be your main contact.

This small cabin is a perfect place for the outdoor adventurers to spend their days enjoying what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Located in upper Timberline Village three miles East of Packwood. The cabin is set in a small cul-d-sac on a quiet wooded lot. It is approximately 5 miles from Mount Rainier National Park and 15 miles from White Pass skiing. The neighborhood is surrounded by Gifford Pinchot National Forest with many hiking trails nearby. The property is at 1500 feet elevation. Enjoy Mount Rainier all year round! This cabin is a great place to getaway and stay after a day of skiing and exploring the outdoors. Although small, it sleeps four comfortably and has all the amenities for your stay. Wi-Fi, TV with free Netflix, AC. Please note, there are three steps leading to the porch entrance of the cabin. Inside, there is a steep set of stairs leading to the bedrooms. Due to the steep stairs, we caution all guest with small children to provide close supervision. One bedroom is private with a queen bed. The other bedroom is in a loft type setting where it is open to the stairway and not considered private. The bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen. The cabin is equipped with ductless heating and cooling AC for all season comfort. Guests have access to the entire place. There is one locked closet under the stairs. There is a motion activated floodlight camera on the corner of the house pointing down the driveway. It's for your protection as well as ours when the property sits vacant.

(Some of the pictures in prior reviews are from when I was renting out the smaller cabin- this listing is now for the larger cabin!) 🤗 You feel like you’re waking up in a state park, but you’re just ten minutes from town. Mt Adams and many hiking trails are nearby. If you are a rafter or a kiter, we are very close to the river as well! It will sleep 4 comfortably- please contact me about extra guests. There is a trundle bed with twin mattresses, and a Queen bed. Both have fitted sheets only. Please bring everything else you may need to be comfortable. The cabin is off grid so charge your electronics beforehand and bring a cooler! It’s a great place for a reset : ) Get your feet on the ground and wake up with the birds chirping. NOTE: You have to pack trash in and out. Leave no trace. I do not have trash pick up at the cabin and anything left has the potential to lure wildlife in. Thank you for your understanding!

Pets are welcome - please make sure they are well behaved and are kept close to the cabin. I do have my own friendly dogs (Ruby and Muskett) on the property, but they do not have access to the cabin area. Mountain View Glamping Cabin

Learn more about this land: Remodeled 1940's orchard workers’ cabin done in romantic cabin decor. The large deck has views to Mt. Clemen, a porch swing, table , chairs, umbrella, kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, water kettle, toaster, and hot/cold drinking water. A new patio features fire pit/box. New Sanican is attached to cabin and includes outdoor hot/cold shower. Complex includes four view acres, surrounding gardens, and is nestled in a patch of forest. Close to many outdoor and cultural activities. The cabin is close to many trails, ATV trails, fishing, hiking, and rock climbing areas. The rural roads here are seldom traveled, mostly by farm and orchard tractors and vehicles, farmer's pickups and bicycles. Houses are widely spread, few are closer than a half block. There are many empty fields and parking can happen almost anywhere. There are several places to park next to the cabin, even for larger RV's. There is no public transportation out here. Ordinary road map directions for getting here are very simple and straightforward. When you arrive at the property, just pull into the curving drive. You will see the cabin by itself to the left. Just park in front. Tieton is a rare place. The once dying town was re-discovered in the first decade of the new century by a couple friends on a mountain biking exploration. They got a vicious Goat's Head thorn in a tire and had to stop. They looked around at empty warehouses and closed stores and asked about it. The many small orchardists had been selling off their orchards to larger orchards and retiring. They saw opportunities in the empty buildings and had a vision. Artists, writers, poets, thinkers from all over the northwest have been visiting and moving here over the last 14 years, making this a unique town, with two hispanic restaurants, a gourmet restaurant, two convenience stores and a bakery. Own a boat or jet ski? bring it, plenty of space to park your boat and watercraft trailer. If you are into quads, motorcycle riding or 4x4 off-roading this place is perfect. There are forest service roads and trail riding nearby. Jeep and off road groups come from all over the state to ride in the foothills, just 30 minutes away. Winter time campers are welcome too! Winter access is easy, county road to entrance of Hipcamp is plowed by county road crews and as host I have tractor 🚜 to plow the camp area prior to your arrival. Snowmobiles are welcome in winter and you get a reduced nightly rate. Ride and play in the snow around the camp property or drive 20 minutes to foothills with trails and forestry roads open to sleds. Bring the whole group, plenty of room on this property for as many as 20 rigs and trailers.

This is an adorable log cabin on an acre of land surrounded by fir trees. (Some of the pictures in prior reviews are from when I was renting out the smaller cabin- this listing is now for the larger cabin!) 🤗 You feel like you’re waking up in a state park, but you’re just ten minutes from town. Mt Adams and many hiking trails are nearby. If you are a rafter or a kiter, we are very close to the river as well! It will sleep 4 comfortably- please contact me about extra guests. There is a trundle bed with twin mattresses, and a Queen bed. Both have fitted sheets only. Please bring everything else you may need to be comfortable. The cabin is off grid so charge your electronics beforehand and bring a cooler! It’s a great place for a reset : ) Get your feet on the ground and wake up with the birds chirping. NOTE: You have to pack trash in and out. Leave no trace. I do not have trash pick up at the cabin and anything left has the potential to lure wildlife in. Thank you for your understanding!

But, the more Roy worked on the Yurt the more it spoke to him letting him know how to proceed and what it should become -- resulting in this phenomenally peaceful and stress-free wilderness sanctuary where the sun, the moon and the stars wink at you through the gentle undulations of the 100-year-old Douglas Firs Trees or through the ambient ether of the adjoining meadows. Our property is located 1hr and 30 minutes from Mt Hood in Oregon. We are located in White Salmon, Washington. There are enough things to do in White Salmon, including hiking trails, biking trails, white water rafting, waterfalls, and paddling spots to keep you entertained for a weekend, week, or lifetime! NOTE: While we do accept Instant Bookings for both our Tree House and Yurt there may very rarely be a conflict with a booking received earlier from another site when the HipCamp calendar has not been updated to reflect that booking. In that case, we default to the earliest booking and work with the guest to see if there are other dates which will work. *Meteorologists project possible visible Northern Lights through May 14, 2024
