Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R, as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep the campground as a single site, larger groups are given preference. Birdsong comes early here, and crickets and frogs light up the evenings. There aren't any city lights, so stargazing is a real delight. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone.
In camp, you will find a rustic kitchen with three picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a sink for your convenience so remember to bring water containers for hand and dish washing.
The resource area for campers is at the second gate and has an electrical outlet, a water hose, and a wagon for transporting items to camp. We have several items for sale, including nice firewood bundles, farm-fresh eggs, and snacks for hand-feeding the farm animals. Lawn games (volleyball, badmintton, bocci ball), hammocks, a parachute, etc. are available for rent.

Secluded private site centrally located just a mile from Interstate 5 off of exit #11, and 6 miles from the Interstate 5 / Hwy 205 intersection so most places in Clark County are less that 20 minutes away.

Located 5 minutes from the Amphitheater,10 minutes from Ilani Casino, and less than 30 minutes from some of the nicest freshwater lakes around.
This is a secluded, Park Like property with walking trails all the way around it, and some interesting things for kids to spot, especially up Fairy Lane. Walking access is permitted, but you must keep pets on leash and keep an eye on your kids.
In the dry season, typically May through the end of September, fires are not allowed, and please USE EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO SMOKE ONSITE. If you are one of those who just tosses your butts in the underbrush, you will be asked to leave for the safety of our property and guests. There is no smoking allowed inside the cabin, bathroom, or anywhere near the sawmill, or any area North of it.
There is a public bathroom in the middle of the property beside the tree fort. It's well lit and open 24 hours a day. It has a flush toilet and a hot water sink and a HOT shower. * PLEASE NOTE To keep from freezing, the instant hot water heater is disconnected, and hot water, and hot showers ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM NOV 15TH TO MAR 1ST. Cold water to flush the toilets and wash your hands is available all year. You can use the discount code NOHOT To reduce your booking rate during those times
We try to keep rules to a minimum, but people seem to find creative ways to cause issues. Please park outside the yellow gate in the parking areas noted on the map. Please park on gravel and DON'T DRIVE OFF THE GRAVEL ROADS ONTO THE GRASS. Anita hates it, as you can cause a fire in the summer, and leave muddy ruts in the wet seasons. If you're driving through the trees, you're doing something wrong.
There is plenty of wildlife on the property especially in the couple hours before dark. Best place to spot deer, racoons, porcupines and beaver are down near the pond.

I'm always happy to camp at Stuart and Anita's place on my way up to Seattle from southern Oregon. It's well set up for car camping with an onsite restroom that is always spotless. I had a peaceful nights sleep and then visited the nearby Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge where I saw 40 species of birds on the auto loop tour.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to camp with dogs. We had six dogs among three people and had such a wonderful time on this property! The dogs were safe and entertained and had plenty of space to run and explore and play. We were able to go and enjoy the visiting goats and the ducks and the chickens. Sarah and her partner were super wonderful and welcoming, and we had a great time renting some of the games they had available.

We had the best time at Summers Pleasant places! Three of us and six dogs, the mostly fenced in property and being away from the road created such a relaxing and stress-free few days. This was such a convenient location, close to convenience stores but having the whole back area of the property felt very private. We didn’t mind the farm animal noises or the other regular rural sounds. It didn’t bother us at all. Visiting with the chickens, and goats was definitely a highlight as well. The kitchen sink and counter space was incredibly helpful and well designed! It was so nice to not have to bring all of that extra gear. We loved being about to have a fire to cook over and cozy up to at night. Summer was very communicative and hospitable, answering all of our questions and accommodating us at her place on such short notice. We can’t wait to come back so the dogs can run free in the field again!

We just had our family reunion here & it was perfect! Very nice & level play area that had a volleyball net already up & it accommodated our Badminton, Corn hole, croquet, bocce ball amongst others. The kids loved running around playing Light Up sq Lazer tag at night too.
Several cubby areas that worked for tents, we also had 2 RV’s & a Sprinter and room for all our cars/trucks.
The kitchen area was bigger & better than expected & 2 picnic tables for us to play games as well.
We all congregated around our RV spot at night for campfire (fire ring since fire ban) & fellowship. We were all up very late, it was so nice not having a curfew!
They let us enjoy their goats, which the kids absolutely loved!
The property is fenced & gated so we could let our dogs off leash with so much room for them to roam & explore.
They had an outhouse too.
The property is easy to get to & not far off of I-5, but you feel like you’re secluded in the woods! It’s perfect
We all can’t wait to come back!

It was a perfect stop for traveling through, quiet, peaceful, accommodating. Anita was great… you know these are hard working people and the aesthetics match. There’s a lot of personal detail that’s like art. We had a quiet night, but you can hear the highway far off in the distance and it’s almost like a hum putting you to sleep. Remember, it was only a pass through and for accessibility. I couldn’t be more happy. And a hot shower to boot.

Abby’s place is in a great location. Close to everything. We walked to dinner and could have walked to many other things. The beach is just a short drive away. We were able to let the dog out on her cord and she had room to move around. There wasn’t anyone staying in the house while we were there which made it more comfortable for us. The full hookups are always appreciated! There is some road noise but it gets quiet at night. Thanks for sharing your space with us.

This was our second visit to Pleasant Places, and it was just as great in a little rain this year as it was in the summer heat last year. The kids had a blast exploring in a safe, open area where we never had to worry about traffic or open water, which made it especially stress-free for parents of young kids. The host was so friendly and welcoming, and water was readily available for washing hands and dishes, which made camping easy and comfortable. There’s plenty of space for tents and endless room for field games, giving the kids hours of fun. Ike Kinswa State Park is nearby and worth the short drive for a safe, fun swim day. The property is peaceful, well-kept, and inviting. I recommend bringing battery-powered string lights for around the main camp area—they add a cozy glow in the evenings. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already looking forward to our next trip back!

I have a large group consisting of 4 families that have been struggling to find camping places that are big enough to spread out and feel like we're not on top of others camping at the same place. Standard campsites are too cramped and you never feel like you got to enjoy nature and the beautiful world around us, but rather only the others campers who are way too close! That is where Pleasant Places comes in clutch! Our group absolutely loved it! Plenty of space and the amenities that Summer provides made it an easy week of camping. An open field in the middle allowed for children to play and since we are so secluded we didn't have to worry about being too noisy to others around us. I would 100% recommend this place to others. Awesome location. Can place tents/campers in between tree to keep them shady so they don't get too hot. Summer had a hose for us to get water from so we didn't have to keep running to the store.
Seriously, check out this place! Unless it's the last week of July since that is when we plan to return. lol

There was a really nice open area with spots for tents around and a fire/kitchen area in the trees. We had a great time visiting the goats and sunbathing in the playfield. Definitely recommend this beautiful spot 🙌

We had a wonderful stay at Pleasant Places! We had 10 adults, two kids, and a couple of dogs, and there was plenty of space for all of our tents and equipment! Having our own porta potty was great too. We all enjoyed hanging around the kitchen area/fire pit, and Summer was quick to respond to any questions we had. It was a very peaceful and private location, and we had the best time! We would definitely recommend Pleasant Places for your next group camping trip!

We have parked our van twice at Oh-deer-me. Easy to find, running water and plenty of shade and very quiet. The spot behind the garage is flat and private, easy to set up camp. We will be back since is it so easy to access Portland from their place.

Really great spot! We stayed for 2 nights and would have happily stayed longer. Stuart is a fantastic host and amenities are great for the price. Little bit of a walk to the bathroom from where we parked and slept in our van, but it’s great to have and it is a lovely property to walk. Will definitely stay again.
