43mi from Skykomish · 7 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging · Arlington, WA
Nestled near Arlington, our 75-acre property spans both new and old forest, featuring a salmon-filled creek and a vibrant beaver pond—all set against the dramatic backdrop of a 1,200-foot sheer cliff crowned with old-growth trees. Since its purchase in 1958 as a family retreat, this land has grown into much more than a getaway. It has become a place for relaxation, adventure, and connection with nature—a private forest for family and friends to enjoy. Over the years, the family has adopted forest stewardship and sustainable timber harvesting practices, while also developing campsites, trails, hosting rock concerts, and even producing wine. What began as a simple escape has evolved into something extraordinary: a tree farm that successfully balances nearly every goal a forest landowner could imagine—timber production, wildlife habitat, natural beauty, recreation, and forest resilience. Valhalla embodies all of this with a harmony so seamless, it feels effortless.

Come on up to a magical dreamland in the forest on a winding river! We welcome you to a secluded, yet accessible getaway. You will walk down a winding trail with moss draping from the old forest firs and emerge to an opening in the forest with a welcoming large rock patio, fire ring and well accommodated 20 ft yurt. You can then creep along the trail further and come upon a nice flat, comfy greenery area to pitch multitudes of tents, have a swing in the hammocks, or play some yard games. And yet the magic does not end-- emerge further down the hill and you will come upon the glorious North Fork of the Stillaguamish River. It is mighty during the winter months, but flows to a slow and shallow trickle during the summer making it a wonderful place for romping of children and pets alike. There is also some swim holes if you need to truly cool your skin down. The flowing Stilly has blessed us with a very large sand bar on our side of the river which has an abundance of flat, soft sand to pitch more tents on, and also build castles in for the littles. Lastly, don't forget to catch the fantastic view of White Horse Mountain from the two seats that overlook the river! Catch it during the day or during the night with the moon in front of the mountain. You will never forget it! This is an off-grid property. Please bring your own drinking water. We have an outhouse on sight. The yurt has an audio system with CDs if you so choose to bring in your own portable battery. We hope you enjoy this forested river land!

Camp Keyser is a wooded 5 acre parcel in the mountains, near mountain loop highway - in the center of everything wonderful in the northern cascade mountains. We have one private cabin and 6 campsites. Tent campers will enjoy the lush landscape of a mature forest with sites along the (seasonal) Thirsty Creek. Nearby (3 minute walk), users can contemplate views of Whitehorse Mountain, Jumbo Mountain, Glacier Peak, and Whitechuck Mountain. This part of the Stillaguamish valley and the adjacent Mountain Loop Highway is known for a great selection of hiking trails, at all skill levels. It is perfect hub for all of your outdoor interests. The trailhead for the summit of Whitehorse Mountain is just a mile away, as is Old Mine Road trail (45 minute hike ending in 2 waterfalls). A 15-20 minute walk takes campers to a swimming hole in the cool Stillaguamish river for a dip or a paddle. Even closer is Whitehorse Regional Trail (great for biking, walking and horseback riding) built on the bed of the former BNSF railroad through the North Stillaguamish River Valley, spanning over 27 miles. The nearly level trail meanders through the valley, rewarding visitors with picturesque, landscape views of forests, farmland, streams and rivers, and mountain vistas. Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. This property is supposedly one of the first homesteads in Jordan Road. This information is based on stories from some old timers my husband had spoken to in the past when he bought this property in 2002. The owner back in the old days sold off parcels and parcels of lands back then. The property is all fenced in, a place where your fur buddy can run free so you don't have to worry of the baby getting lost! Hopefully you'll get a visit from a deer and hear the hooting of the owl. :) You are welcome to check out our goats too if you want (they're in their enclosed space). The surroundings are peaceful and private, you will enjoy exploring the trails all around the 9 acres out of 12 we are sharing. Stroll down the hill to listen to the sounds of the creek and fish ladder. Our campground cabins are about 4.9 miles from the 'Granite Falls Fish Ladder'. Visit this beauty at Mountain Loop Highway if you fancy a little hike. Drive around 7 miles to the 'Lime Kiln Trailhead. The trail is full of amazing views and history. Our place is only about 45 minutes from Seattle. Why not pack your tent and sleeping bags then drive here after work, then leave in the morning. Leave your worries behind.. enjoy nature.

We purchased this from Chad in 2025 and continue the great Hip Camping. Welcome to our paradise and enjoy forest bathing can reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve sleep quality, which our guests are saying they experience here. We offer 2/3 of an acre with 150' of riverfront access. Breath taking view of Mt Pilchuck framed by tall trees along the Riverbanks. You have access to the whole property including the cabin porch, firepit and BBQ, and direct access to the river. River fish include rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, steelhead, salmon, Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye, Dolly Varden, and various minnow species. Things to do from our spot: -Enjoying our Paradise. -Floating, Wading, swimming, -Trout Fishing. -Wildlife Watching. Things within 10 minutes: -Fish ladders on the left side as you drive to camp. you might also like to walk on both sides of the bridge for a breath-taking view of the canyon. -Granite Falls (at Fish Ladders). -Ice Caves (Dog Friendly). -Many hiking trails and lakes in the area. -The small town has just about all the basic needs and a ACE Hardware store, Market, Drug store, and Museum. all within 1-2 blocks. Sweet. Enjoy...!!! Property is in a very rural housing development, however it is heavily wooded with big trees and really private and quiet, especially by the river. Power is available. No toilet or potable water. Please haul trash out with you. Must bring your own camp toilet or self-contained RV's. I suggest you use the far side of the road and, line your rig up to my driveway when you go in and out of the gate and be mindful of Trailer rear end swing when going through the gate. Your RV spot is in front of the vacant 5th wheel. If you back in… back in the way you would pull out if you were already parked there. If you need help log in to my WiFi and call me, I’m very experienced and can help direct you from my driveway security camera. There is no water or Sewage dump. Feel free to use anything in the yard or porch deck including the Deck... including the games and things at the rear of the 5th wheel including the Dog Poop picker upper. Fire Ban is usually on during the Summer, but small camp cooking fires are still allowed. DO NOT leave fire unattended. Enjoy our bit of Paradise.

Our 7 acre property is located between the Stilliguamish River and the Whitehorse trail. It's a mostly forested property with trails through the woods. The central clearing contains our large vegetable garden and our home. We provide a 10x12 furnished wall tent with electricity, lights and an electric kettle, and an outdoor cooking area with potable water a stove and a few pots. There is also a propane firepit. The toilet is an outhouse. The tent is surrounded by trees, thus very private, despite this being a residential area. Near the tent there is a bench overlooking the river and a steep trail to the rocky bank. On your roughly 3 acre part of the property there are trails to stroll through our woods. These will lead to the Whitehorse trail. Turn left 1 mile to Squire Creek and right 1 mile to the old Fortson mill ponds. There are two bicycles available for your use. The Whitehorse Trail is a rail trail suitable for bicycling. You can be in Darrington on a bicycle in about 40 minutes or ride the other direction to Oso in about an hour. In Darrington there is a mountain bike park on North Mountain, a coffee shop and a brewery. Come enjoy nature at it's finest at our lovely campsite!
